It will be interesting to see. Well he is putting up huge #'s in his Freshman year, there are several Seniors putting up similar #'s like K. Morales a SG from Providence and a Gabe Nash a PF from Indiana

Also there are 3 guy's Mid-Majors who are putting up huge #'s including the Leigh's Bill Costello who is averaging a double double still at 21.4 PPG, 10.8 RPG, 1.4 SPG and 1.5 BPG. I have a feeling he will win he Mid-Major award if he keeps up those #'s.
It seems like it's very hard for anyone but a PF/C to win player of the year in this game. I don't think I've ever seen anyone but a PF/C win it, in fact. Big man dominance is a real problem with the sim engine, unfortunately.

You are correct. I honestly can't say I have actually ever seen a PG or SG either, which is weird because I seem them win Conference POY's all the time.

Youngblood is a hybrid player because he has the size to play the #3/#4 those is posting good RPG's #'s yet he shoots like a SG, so he is posting big PPG's #'s. Also when he is out on the wing he gets a lot of double team's which opens up a easy pass to the post for a quick bucket by Ridnour or Rodgers. I could probably play that off even more and end up with double digit APG #'s but don't.

It will be interesting to see if his scoring can carry him to the award though. So far it's a tight race.

He's definitely posting similar numbers that many POY winners have in this game, so we'll see if there's some sort of systemic bias towards PFs/Cs or if it is all about the stats. Youngblood has as good of a chance as I have ever seen at winning it.

I came across a issue in the game that causes the PF/C to win Player of the Year majority of the time. What happens is the game somehow increases players' tendencies and with most of PF/C's having high Shot Close and/or high Shot Mid tendencies when they skyrocket their 3pt tendencies they take more possessions then the rest of the team and boom high scoring bigs winning POY. I always go in and scans through power conference teams look at their best players and adjust their tendencies and it made a difference in my legacy a guard might win POY.

I hope that made sense [emoji26]

Totally makes sense to me. I forget that you can edit tendencies for other teams even in closed legacies. I know being able to edit players overall is a reason why many people start with a open legacy, but it just doesn't have the same effect for me when you can start out at any school and have your coach already maxed out.

What's interesting is that in all my years of playing recruiting classes in later seasons have a huge lack of 5* quality bigmen so all these 5* AA #1 Overall players end up being nothing and it's always a 4* Center who wins all the awards.

By the way, there is going to be a lack of game updates for the next week, I am going to Portland for 4 days with my nieces 4th grade class on their end of the year field trip. I will probably try and play my next game tomorrow and get it posted before I leave but then won't have anything till next weekend.

Yeah, I have noticed the lack of 5* big men in my legacy. I am recruiting the #1 center in the country right now, but he's only a 4*.

The tendency edits make sense, Vice, but I just don't care about it enough to go through and edit that much.

HUGE 1ST HALF LEADS BUFFS TO VICTORY

With a possible Big 12 regular season title on the line, the Colorado Buffaloes used a huge 1st half to propel them to victory over the #23 Texas Longhorns in Austin on Wednesday night. FINAL SCORE CU-74 TEXAS-59

CU came out and scored 42 in the 1st half to take a 17 point lead into the locker room (42-25) despite leading scorer TJ Youngblood playing just 6 minutes due to another sprained wrist.

Youngblood would finish the game with a career low 14 points (5/17 FG 1/5 3pt) but did manage to finish with a team high 8 rebounds.

With Youngblood struggling the Buff's 2nd unit stepped up scoring a combined 41 of the 74 points led by JR A. Werner who led all scorers with 16 pts (3/4 3pt). 7'2 FR Walkon V. Curtis also added double digits with 11 pts.

                    Coach Deuce
Having the bench play they way they did (7/11 from 3pt) tonight was a huge reason why we are leaving here with a "W"

Up next (21-6) Colorado returns home to take on (18-8) Iowa State. The Cyclones beat the Buff's 90-85 in Overtime in their earlier meeting in Ames.

With Colorado's win over Texas, CU now has a 2 game lead over Oklahoma State with 3 games left to play, as they look for the school's first ever Big 12 title.

COACH DEUCE TAKES BIG 12 TITLE IN YEAR 1

For the first time in school history, Colorado has won the Men's Basketball Big 12 Title, as they closed out the season with a 9 game win streak.

The Buffaloes will go into the Big 12 tournament as the #1 seed with a 23-6 Overall record and a 13-3 Conference record. Colorado also finishes the regular season with the #1 RPI in the nation after going 6-1 against Top-25 opponents and 12-4 in road games.

Despite their record and accomplishments, Colorado is still unranked in the latest Top-25 Coaches Poll, but did manage to move into the Top-25 Media Poll at #20.

                      Coach Deuce
"We are getting zero respect from coaches and I don't understand why. Is it jealousy? I don't know. I feel for my guy's because they have played their heart out this season. But I know for them and myself this just adds fuel to the fire come tourney time because trust me we will be the best non-#1 seed them in the tournament"

Here is a recap of the last 3 game's of the season.

                      IOWA STATE

For the 2nd time this season the Cyclones and Buffaloes played into extra minutes. CU lead at the half (38-37), but ISU came up huge hitting a "3" at the buzzer to force the O.T. period. In Overtime it was another "3" that sealed the deal as JR SG J. Mallory comes up big hitting the game winner. FINAL SCORE CU-82 ISU-79

Still battling his injury, TJ Youngblood has one of his worst shooting performances of the season going 5/15 from the field including 2/11 from 3pt, as he scores 13. Despite his lack of hitting baskets, Youngblood still managed to lead the team in Rebounds (8) and assists (5).

With Youngblood taking a day off from POG honors, it was fellow FR P. Ridnour taking the honors with 18 pts 6 reb and 4 stls.

                      V. Curtis (10 pts) and J. Mallory (11pts, 3/3 3pt) led the bench unit.

                      KANSAS STATE (18-11)

The Wildcats didn't play like a team with 18 wins tonight. KSU trailed (44-23) at the half and never recovered as Colorado rolls with a 22 point win.
                      FINAL SCORE CU-74 KSU-52

TJ Youngblood bounces back from a off night to post a double double with 18 pts and 11 reb as he hit's 3/6 from dowtown.

Fellow Freshman, J. Bauer (16 pts 5/5 3pt), P. Ridnour (11 pts 8 reb) and V. Curtis (11 pts 6 reb) also all had solid nights.

                      TEXAS TECH (20-10)

The Red Raiders did their best to try and stop the winning streak, as they trailed by just 4 points at the half (42-38), but in the 2nd half, TTU would go cold from beyond the arc hitting just 1 of 12 as Colorado builds a double digit lead and holds on for the win. FINAL SCORE CU-75 TTU-63

Youngblood took home POG honors with 22 pts 8 reb 4 assist and 3 steals as he went 7/14 from the field including 4/6 from 3pt well also hitting 4/5 from the stripe.

                      P. Ridnour added a double double with 16 pts and 12 reb, well SR H. Rodgers playing in his final came in front of the home crowd grabbed 11 rebs.

You've got to wonder how low Colorado was ranked before the season started to not be in the midst on the Top 25 with a regular season conference title. As long as you keeping winning games, the ranking won't matter either way.

Not sure, they won 19 games last year and they went dancing, but with 4 Freashman in the starting lineup our overall wasn't the greatest to start the year.
