Yeah, it's been rough, but fun. I've won so much in my other legacy that it almost feels nice to lose, in a way.

Yeah, we should turn it around, though my hope is that the recruiting house rules will keep things in check for awhile, at least.

      vs.
UNC Greensboro (4-12) vs. Elon (3-13)
      Holmes Center
      Boone, NC
      January 19th, 2008

Another game, another loss. Tonight, surging Elon (3-13, 3-7) won their third game of the season, and their second win in their last three games, as they blew out UNC Greensboro 75-49 and handed the Spartans their fifth consecutive loss and seventh loss in eight games. The Spartans have not won a conference game since December 15th at home against Furman.

With the game well in hand just after halftime, Elon head coach Ernie Nestor pulled his starters for the majority of the second half. Every Elon player scored at least two points with Brett James leading the way with 20.

Mikko Koivisto was the only Spartan to reach double-figures with 10 points, though he did so on an inefficient 4/11 shooting outing.

The Spartans (4-12, 1-6) only shot 36% from the floor and 29% from three-point range.

"Tonight's game was flat-out embarrassing for myself and for this team," complained UNCG head coach James Frizzell in the post-game press conference. "It's no secret that we are flat-out terrible right now. The last three halves we've played have been complete embarrassments and there's really not even any justification for any of our players to be on scholarship right now. We need to right the ship and we need to do it quickly. We're not a particularly talented team, but that's not even my issue right now. We're simply giving no effort out there on the floor and we're playing as sloppily as a JV team."

Frizzell's comments seem to wreak of desperation as he attempts to try to keep his team from sliding into a bottomless losing streak with no end in sight.

UNCG faces College of Charleston and The Citadel on the road next week to close out their current five-game road trip.

Yeah, it was a compromise I made since I still enjoy running at the top and gunning for national championships yearly (as in my other legacy), and I don't want to turn my back on something I've literally put in 7 1/2 years of real-life time into, but at the same time winning nearly all my games did get a bit stale, so struggling in this legacy helps to liven things up again and makes playing more fun.

I've been trying to get into NCAA Football 14 again in recent weeks, but I just don't think I can do it. The game always feels so robotic to me, even with decent sliders.

I'm going to be updating this legacy again, as well, soon.

EDIT: Nevermind, I forgot I had updates already written for this one, so I'll post an update now.

UNC Greensboro (4-13) vs. College of Charleston (9-9)
                TD Arena
                Charleston, SC
                January 24th, 2008

Freshman Andrew Goudelouck scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed five rebounds for College of Charleston as the Cougars (9-9, 6-3) pulled away late to defeat UNC Greensboro, 71-63.

The Spartans (4-13, 1-7) led 32-30 at the halftime break and the game was back-and-forth for much of the second half, but College of Charleston came up when it mattered late and hit free throws down the stretch to seal the game.

Fellow freshman Antwaine Wiggins also scored 11 points for College of Charleston while Sophomore point guard Tony White paced the Cougars' offense with 10 points and five assists.

Kendall Toney was the leading man for UNC Greensboro as he was on fire from beyond the arc, where he hit six treys in just 10 attempts, and ended with 18 points. Daniel Oliver added 11 points while Darrius Sellers totaled 10 points and five rebounds. Michael Mitchell just missed out on a double-double as he tallied 11 points and nine boards.

Next, UNCG closes out their road trip on Saturday against The Citadel.
