Re: An NBA 2K16 Association Sim Using 2001-02 Rosters

    December 13, 2001-December 19, 2001 Recap

Eastern Conference Player of the Week

Toronto Raptors SG Vince Carter: 21.8 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 8.3 APG

Western Conference Player of the Week

Sacramento Kings PF Chris Webber: 22.5 PPG, 11.5 RPG, 5 APG, 3 SPG, 1.5 BPG

    Stories of the Week
    • Can anyone stop the San Antonio Spurs? The Spurs are now on a 13 game win streak pushing their record to a league best, 24-4.
    • However, behind them is the Sacramento Kings, who have kept up with the Spurs despite the crazy win streak. The Kings are 20-6 and are 3.0 games back of the Spurs in the Western Conference.
    • Both the defending Western Conference Champion Los Angeles Lakers and defending Eastern Conference Champion Philadelphia 76ers seem to finally be figuring things out. The Lakers have now won their last 4 games and have won 7 of their last 8 games, while the 76ers have won 4 of their last 5 games and are on a 3 game winning streak.
    • Five teams won every game they played this week. Those teams were the San Antonio Spurs (3-0), the Orlando Magic (3-0), the Los Angeles Lakers (3-0), the Boston Celtics (3-0), and the Denver Nuggets (3-0)
    • Three teams didn't win a game this past week. Those teams were the Cleveland Cavaliers (0-2), the Washington Wizards (0-3), and the Milwaukee Bucks (0-3)

            • The Golden State Warriors got their win streak up to 8 before being defeated by the Los Angeles Lakers on January 5th.
            • The Los Angeles Lakers have now won 4 straight after having their 10 game win streak snapped.
            • MVP front runner Tim Duncan will be sidelined for 2-4 weeks with a Severe Right Ankle Sprain. Duncan's has definitely affected the Spurs, as they lost two straight games once Duncan went down, by a pretty sizable margin both games.
            • The Utah Jazz are the latest team from the West to go on a big win streak. The Jazz have now won 9 straight games and won 12 of their last 13 games.
            • Golden State has overtaken the Sacramento Kings for the top spot in the Pacific Division Standings. The Warriors (26-11) now have a 1.0 game lead over the Kings (25-12).
            • In the Eastern Conference, the Milwaukee Bucks (20-18) have overtaken the Cleveland Cavaliers (17-17) for the top spot in the Central Division.
            • The Philadelphia 76ers have looked like the 2000-2001 team that won 56 games, as they have now won 6 straight, all by over at least 10 points.

                        January 31, 2002-February 6, 2002 Recap

Eastern Conference Player of the Week

Philadelphia 76ers: SG Allen Iverson (5)

Western Conference Player of the Week

Utah Jazz: PF Karl Malone (2)

                        Stories of the Week

The NBA World was shook as Shaquille O'Neal went down with a severe injury that will keep him sidelined for the rest of the season. O'Neal, the current MVP Front Runner, was having an outstanding season, but fractured his leg during a Lakers win vs. Charlotte on January 31st.

Allen Iverson is now tied with Tracy McGrady for the most Player of the Week Awards this season with 5.

The Spurs now hold just a 1.0 game lead in the Western Conference over the Utah Jazz who have been tearing it up for the past month.

Three teams didn't lose a game this past week. Those teams were the Orlando Magic (4-0), Phoenix Suns (4-0), and the Portland Trail Blazers (2-0).

Four teams didn't win a game this past week. Those teams were the Los Angeles Clippers (0-3), Milwaukee Bucks (0-3), Atlanta Hawks (0-4), and the Boston Celtics (0-4).

The Orlando Magic are the hottest team in the NBA currently, as they are on a season high 8 game win streak to push their Eastern Conference lead up to 3.0 games over the Miami Heat.

                          Rising Stars Challenge Results

The Rookie Stars defeated The Elites by a final score of 109-102.

Golden State Warriors PG Gilbert Arenas won the MVP Award for his unbelievable performance. This was definitely one of the best stat lines any player has ever had in the Rising Stars Challenge. Arenas finished with 20 points, 11 assists, 6 rebounds, 5 steals, and 2 blocks.

Phoenix Suns SF Shawn Marion, who played for the Rookie Stars, led the game in scoring as he put on a show, scoring 21 points on 8-9 shooting from the floor and 4-5 from the free throw line.

Memphis Grizzlies PF Pau Gasol also had an extremely good shooting performance for the Rookie Stars as he scored 16 points on 8-9 shooting from the floor. Lamar Odom also chipped in 16 points for the Rookie Stars.

The Elites were led by Pacers PF Al Harrington who scored a team high 14 points and grabbed 6 boards.

Utah Jazz rookie SG DeShawn Stevenson chipped in 13 points and 5 of those points came from the free throw line.

Elite bigs Tyson Chandler, Rodney White, and Kenny Thomas all came close to a double double as they all had at least 10 points and 7 rebounds.

Damn this is pretty cool, I might start a MyLeague with your roster bro, the problem I have with these type of leagues is a tend to want things to be TOO realistic, I gotta learn to just let it happen how it happens lmao

Also the draft classes would be awesome, I hope you keep editing and releasing em

                                I appreciate that!

But, I will definitely upload all the draft classes and everything once I get them done. My goal is to get through the 2016 or 2017 draft classes just to see how much different the NBA is in the game from what it's like now.

I think I've got the 2002, 2003, 2004 draft classes, and the 2001-2002 roster uploaded under my PSN which is orlegend0208.

I just started adding more players to the 2005 draft class yesterday. And just so you know, the players in the draft classes' don't look like they really do in real life. I guess they're kinda similar, but getting an exact replica of each player I thought would be an absolute nightmare to try and attempt. So, I tried to get the skin color, hair, facial hair, and their signature shots as close to how it is in real life.
