Pistons Game 5
When the starting lineups came out Dario Saric got the nod at PF and Okafor was moved back to the 2nd unit. The 1st quarter was over and the 76ers had a 30 – 27 lead after getting destroyed on the boards last game they 76ers was +3 in that area so far. The Pistons was winning the 2nd quarter and a Kennith Faried put back slam put the Pistons up 4 with 6:44.
Just about 2 minutes later the 76ers was now in deep trouble down 11 points with 4 minutes till halftime. Brett Brown had a big decision to make Embiid was resting and needed to for the rest of the quarter. Simmons had only sit out 2 minutes and was also needing to rest if he was going to be able to be full strength for the 4th quarter. On the Flip side the season was on the line and the 4th quarter wasn’t going to matter if the score keep on like this. Brown decided he couldn’t have both star players resting with the series on the line and Ben was just going to have to man up and play tired with mostly 2nd unit players on the court. Ben was having a great all around game so far with 6 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assist.
The decision to keep Ben in was the correct one as the 76ers went on a 13-4 run to close out the half cutting the lead to 1. A Saric 3 at the buzzer highlighted it also team rebounds was even at half. Drummond was nowhere to be found with only 2 points and 5 rebounds and Fultz was 7 of 12 for 16 points.
Someone here mentioned that for the 76ers to win the series someone was going to have to step up and we found that man in Dario Saric. He came out in the 3rd quarter and could not be stopped scoring 9 points in 2 minutes and giving his team a 5 point lead just like that. He would finally get a break later on in the 3rd and was up to 19 points and 10 rebounds. In a shocking turn of events the 76ers would go on to win easily thanks to a huge 3rd quarter from Saric.
Saric hits a huge 3 at the end of the half

Sim, drummond tem me matado nas placas, ele é uma verdadeira dor não só com isso, mas com blocos. Não é só ele que os outros grandes também são bons. Fico feliz que você acredite que o jogo 6 foi selvagem e que vai acontecer amanhã.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: 2k18 - 76ers "the process needs results"
Pistons Game 6
The first quarter ended with both teams shooting under 33% and Detroit holding a 5-point lead. The start of the 2nd quarter saw J.J hit back-to-back 3’s with the 2nd unit on the court to give the 76ers the lead. The game would be tied at 52 at half time despite Philadelphia shooting 12% higher from the field. The biggest reason for it being tied was Detroit going 16 of 17 from the foul line.
It felt like it was anyone’s game, but Detroit had opened up a 7-point lead with 3:29 in the 3rd quarter. Just 1 minute later the lead was up to 12 and the 76ers season was shockingly on the line. Ben would lead a comeback and then he would have to get some rest the final minute or so before the 3rd ended. It showed just how valuable he is as Detroit went on a 5-0 run in the final 34 seconds and it was 86-74 Pistons lead going into the 4th quarter.
The 76ers wasn’t going out quietly with a 7-0 run to start the 4th quarter. That would not last long as the lead was pushed back to 7 with 6:26 to go. Ben would carry the team on his back and gave the 76ers the lead back with 4:06 in the 4th with the season on the line.
Ingles went to the line down 1 and would only hit 1 of 2 so the game was tied with 2:30. Embiid would get a huge block and then Fultz would get the put back off the missed lay-up the 76ers was now up 2 with only 1:45 to go. The next possession Drummond missed the lay-up and Fultz gets the rebound 76ers still up 2. Drummond would quickly make up for the previous miss, as he would block a shot and then score on the other end while also getting fouled. To the surprise of everyone he hit his free throw giving Detroit a 1-point lead with 1:08 to go. The Pistons was forced to start doubling Ben and he made them pay finding Saric for a easy dunk. It was now 76ers up 1 with 52 seconds to go and just one stop might be enough to win the game and force a game 7 at home. That was not what happened as back-to-back baskets highlighted by a Avery Bradley jump shot with a 76ers turnover in between. It was now 26 seconds to go down 3 and after a timeout Mike Scott was put into the game to stretch out Faried at PF. Since Ben was getting double teamed Scott was open for a lay-up and missed it and as you would expect Drummond got the rebound and the Pistons had won the series.
It is a game that will stun the NBA as on the other side the Cavs had came back from down 3 to 1 to beat the Bucks. The entire NBA had wanted to see this young 76ers team face Lebron, Mark Gasol, Kevin Love and Isaiah Thomas in the ECF. If you look at how this happened its very easy its turnovers as the 76ers committed 24 to just 11 for Detroit. If you want a secondary reason its FT% only going 14 of 21 while Detroit went 24 of 27. Even though its a loss that is going to sting for a long time its hard to look and not smile. Last year they didn't even make the playoffs and this year was the #1 seed and made it to the 2nd round and you armed with a draft pick that should be top 5.

2019 NBA Finals
Game 1 - Warriors 104 - Pistons 91
The only story worth talking about is Drummond who broke is Vertebrae in the final minute of the game. I don't see how the Pistons win this series now
Game 2 - Warriors 111 - Pistons 125
Avery Bradley lead the way with 27 points and Harris also scored over 20. Faried stepped up without Drummond going for 22 and 8.
Game 3 - Warriors 111 - Pistons 110
A close 1 point victory despite the fact Steph shoot only 5 of 15 and 2 for 10 from 3. Another devastating injury as Tobas Harris twisted his right knee and is out the remainder of the series. This series is unofficially over now.
Game 4 - Warriors 100 - Pistons 86
The big 3 all score 23 + as the Warriors go up 3-1
Game 5 - Warriors 98 - Pistons 99
The Pistons might not win the series but are turning a lot of heads after beating the 76ers and Cavs they have now took the loaded Warriors team to 6 games despite 2 starters getting hurt during the series.
Game 6 Warriors 109 - Pistons 92
The Warriors win the finals for the 4th time in 5 years as Curry goes for 37-7-8 on 9 of 12 from 3. Jordan Bell makes a strong statement with a double double on the clinching win as he enters free agency

What a disappointing way to end the season. But it’s not the end of the world cause I feel you’re far ahead of schedule. Injuries don’t help either. I like the direction you’re heading, Getting as many 3-D guys around Embiid/Simmons/Fultz. It’s the same thing I’m doing in my Sixers Franchise. Looking forward to the offseason and 2019-2020 season

Yea it was a tough way to end the season, but like you said I’m ahead of schedule. I love my pairing and starting 5 with Roco and Ingles as 3&d guys. I will have to check our yours as well so I can compare
I won’t be able to play 2k for a week as I’ll be away from the house for a weekend trip and the work. So I will have to shorten my offseason posting as I’ve lost a few Weeks due to the holidays and I’m anxious to get into year 3 and this offseason. If I want to get through all of bens / embiid’s career I’m gonna have to speed things up a bit.
I may delay the create a prospect to next year

Re: 2k18 - 76ers "the process needs results"
76ers Trade Down, Draft Bol Bol
The draft lottery shock out and the 76ers dropped from the 2nd pick to the 3rd in what is considered a 4 or 5 man draft as far as elite talent goes. R.J Barrett and Zion Williamson went in the top 2 as expected so the 76ers decided to trade back 2 slots expecting Cameron Reddish and Romeo Langford would go 3 and 4. The 76ers in trading back 2 slots picked up the 25th pick in this years draft and another pick next year, which should be in the 20’s. When asked about the trade the GM had this to say
“All along Bol Bol was our target we think he is the perfect fit with his ability to block shots and play defense. I’ve seen the message boards saying we should have gotten more in trading back. The way we see it is we got 2 free first round draft picks because even if we would have stayed at 3 Bol was going to be our pick”.
We have learned the reason Bol was targeted over Reddish and Langford is that he doesn't need the ball the score and produce. The 76ers was worried about bringing in a player that would effect team chemistry and would be needy on offense and unable to play defense.
It has been years since we have seen a player that’s as intriguing as Bol Bol. The first thing is his name, which everyone should know comes from his father Manute. If you haven’t heard the story he was a pioneer for his people in Sudan giving lots of $ and time trying to help out as unspeakable things was happening to innocent people. That ended up playing a role in his early death back in 2010. Just like his father, Bol Bol is very tall and thin and at 7’2 and 215 pounds with amazing 8’1 wingspan. The great thing about Bol is that he will be able to guard down low and on the perimeter as rookie. His offense is still a work in progress, but he can shoot from 3 and that’s something that should get better down the line. His height and offense rebounding should be where most his points come early on while his post game and shooting catch up.
“Everybody knows he has elite upside as a shoot blocker, defender and rebounder with his 8’1 wingspan. Once he got in for practice we saw his upside was even better then what our scouts thought. We don’t see him as a role player we see him as the 4th future all star in our starting lineup. “
The 76ers are already one of the best defense teams in the NBA and now this cements them as elite for many years to come. Bol will join elite defenders Embiid, Covington, Ingles, and Simmons. Fultz isn’t an elite defender yet, but he could be this time next year if he keeps on improving. Bol might even be able to play some SF in the right situation. We don’t expect him to get many minutes at the 3 this year, but it could happen in the years to come when his shooting improves and Ingles moves on.
The 76ers are loaded with depth at every position and we don’t expect any changes to be made to the starting lineup. The biggest chance for early playing time this year will be what happens to Okafor. If a team throws 17 million a year at him he will likely be gone as Holmes and Bol can hold the fort down at the backup 4 & 5 spots. Then you have Dario Saric who could potentially be moved at some point during the year as he due a big payday and isn’t starting. In the future Bol will settle in as the starting PF with Ben at PG, Fultz at SG, Covington at SF and Embiid at C.
We will have more on the rest of the 76ers draft soon for the time being everyone is ordering there Bol Bol jersey’s and anxiously awaiting summer league
He dominated the World vs USA game with 31 points, 41 rebounds, 12 assist, and 6 blocks
Bol Bol should be a elite shot blocker from day 1

Re: 2k18 - 76ers "the process needs results"
I am beyond excited to use Bol Bol when I played with him in the world rookie game it was a blast. I have always been a sucker for really tall players and this sets my future starting 5 for the balance of the series. When I scouted him I believe his potential was B+ or so and then after I drafted him it was A- potential and then 1/2 (with team chemistry bonus) overalls higher.
I haven't got to FA yet so I will do that prob tomorrow night as ive had the national title game distracting me last night and have plan tonight plus I'm still in mourning. I think I will just post a team recap of CPU team once regular season starts or maybe some major FA moves first. I am way behind where I want to be and don't want anymore dead time, but also don't wanna sacrifice quality .Last edited by georgiafan; 01-09-2018, 09:09 AM.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: 2k18 - 76ers "the process needs results"
Looking Long-term 76ers Draft 2 International Players
For the 2nd straight draft the 76ers sit with multiple 1st round picks and very limited roster slots. Also for the 2nd straight year the 76ers had multiple 2nd round draft picks and 2 of them in the first half of the 2nd round. You knew 5 or 6 rookies wasn’t going to make this team so trades was going to have to happen. Last year the 76ers traded up to draft Greyson Allen and this year would make a similar move.
The 76ers ended up trading with the Bucks and moved up 6 slots in the 20’s. For the trade back the Bucks ending up drafting someone with A+ 3 point shooting and picked up multiple 2nd round picks and a player that was drafted in the 2nd round last year still playing overseas.
Everyone knows about the upside of Luka Samanic and outside the top guys he had as much potential as anyone. If your wondering why he was still on the board at pick 23 its because he is locked into his international contract for 3 more years and isn’t a good athlete. Luka is a raw 6’9 PF that already shows playmaking ability and basketball IQ. The key to his NBA future will be how his defense improves. It’s a low risk move for the 76ers and if he improves in 3 years could look like a brilliant move. When he is ready to come over to the NBA by this time the 76ers will be paying big $ to the starting lineup deep into luxury tax and drafting very late in the 1st round. At the very least he will provide depth and be on the end of the roster at a cheap price.
He wasn’t the only player the 76ers drafted and with the 10th pick in the 2nd round took Dane Tool a 22-year-old SF from Australia. The 76ers have had great luck with Australian players Ben Simmons and Joe Ingles so hopefully the trend continues. Just like Luka he has 3 years on his deal so he will not be joining the roster for a long time and will be 25 when he comes to the NBA. Dane doesn’t project to have the same upside as Luka does and is viewed as more of a end of the bench type guy. He does have potential so he is worth a 2nd round flier as a normal 2nd round rookie wouldn't have made this team.

Re: 2k18 - 76ers "the process needs results"
2019 & 2020 Power Rankings & Season Preview #1The Grizzles are in full rebuild mode and have been collecting a lot of lottery picks in the last 2 drafts. They are loaded with young players with high upside who will play important roles. The Parsons and Triston Thompson contracts will finally be coming off the books after this year.
30. Grizzles
Key Additions Jahlil Okafor, Cameron Reddish, Austin Rivers
The 76ers decided not to match the offer sheet for Okafor and pay him 19 million a year to be a backup. He will get the chance to start and play 30 minutes a game. They barley hung on to there draft pick and ended up with Cameron Reddish who has all star potential and will be needing to score right away. Austin Rivers will provide much needed depth at G.
Biggest Question
Will the 3 lottery picks in last years draft (Duval, Alkins, Akot) improve as a sophmore?
Possible Trades
If Parsons and Thompson are going to go the most likely spot to flip them to a playoff team at the deadline and maybe pick up a 2nd round pick after injurys happen.
The biggest asset they have is T.J Warren as the Grizzles have way to many SF’s on the roster. T.J’s contract at only 13 million for 3 more years is now looking like a bargain and he is only 26. A ton of teams will want him so expect them to be patient in wait on the right offer. They have to many SF’s on the roster so one of them needs to be traded.
Season Goals
Since they hung onto the draft pick this past year it means the Celtics will have the pick this year with no protections. This means the Grizzles have no incentive to tank and get a top pick. They need to see improvement from the young guys and win enough games to land outside the top 5 to soften the blow of not having a 1st round pick.
29. KingsThe kings didn’t have its 1st round pick this past year so had to take on two bad contracts from the Knicks to get the 7th pick in the draft Keldon Johnson along with other minor assets. Its looking like a bad season as Fox is the only player that has shown improvement.
Key Additions Keldon Johnson
His overall is low, but his potential is high and SG is a position of depth. He wont get a ton of minutes at the start still he needs to show something to prove taking one 1 year of bad contracts was worth it.
Biggest Question
Is Fox capable of carrying the team on his back to a miracle playoff run?
Possible Trades
With Buddy Heild, Bodanvich, Keldon Johnson and the improved Malich Richardson that’s to many SGs. It’s going to be hard to pick out who is the odd man out. Justin Jackson could also be traded as he has a 5 million option and hasn’t showed any improvement and will be 25 next year.
Season Goals
To not win games and land a top 3 pick
28. PistonsThe biggest shock in all the power rankings the Pistons who made it to the NBA finals last year and were a top seed the year before that. You can’t blame them for locking up Avery Bradley and Tobas Harris to long-term deals. Since they lost just 1 player in the rotation from last year its hard to believe they will drop down this far.
Key Additions Theddus Young
He will provide much needed depth at SF and PF
Biggest Question
How will 2nd year PF Jackson do replacing Faried in the starting lineup?
Possible Trades
Even with all the expiring deals they have they will not be big players in FA so they are candidates to trade some expiring deals to take on longer contracts. Leuer and Gallow are 19 million they could offer to someone as a salary dump
Season Goals
Its going to be interesting to see if the Pistons can prove the doubters wrong and make a deep playoff run in improved East. If they can have another 50 win year and make it to the 2nd round that’s a solid year.
27. MagicThe magic are one of those teams stuck in the middle with proven guys like Fournier and Gordon and then young guys with potential like Romeo Langford, Wendall Carter and Jonathon Issac
Key Additions Romeo Langford, Diamond Stone
They traded up to draft him so it will take some time to figure out how he will work with Fournier since both play SG. Diamond really improved last year and they looked him up to be the starting Center at 15 million for the next 2 years. He needs to produce to justify giving him the 2nd year, as he hasn’t proven anything yet outside of the G league
Biggest Question
Are the Magic rebuilding or trying to make the playoffs?
Possible Trades
Jonathon Simmons will be the easiest piece to move the 30 year old is a solid contributor and only makes 5 million this year. If they aren’t in the playoffs they could field offers for Fournier if Romeo plays well.
Season Goals
They are one of those teams that no matter what they do it wouldn’t surprise you we do expect them to at least be in the playoff chase in the east. If they are going to make the playoffs Peyton and Diamond Stone have to play well.
26. NetsThe Nets made the playoffs last as Deangelo Russell carried the team on his back with 29 points per game. If they are going to make the playoffs he will likely have to do the same thing again this year though he does have Julius Randall for the full year.
Key Additions Brian Bowen & Isaiah Washington (rookies)
The Nets didn't bring in many new people this year and both rookies will likely start the year in the G league.
[/b] Biggest Question [/b]
Can the Nets make the playoffs in back to back years?
Possible Trades
Trading the expiring deals of Crabbe, Deng or Mozgov for a proven player locked into a long-term deal and adding a draft pick with a young player would greatly help this team out someone like Deandre Jordan comes to mind.
Season Goals
Finish in the playoffs for the 2nd straight year would be great for this team. They have to find a way to get another star player in town if not its going to be a 1st round exit even if they make the playoffs
25. HawksThe Hawks have been collecting assets for years and are now loaded with young players at every position and a ton of cap space.
Key Additions Jordan Clarkson, Quickley, Thomas Bryant
Biggest Question
Can Ayton improve on his rookie year and be a #1 option?
Possible Trades
They hawks have so much depth they are ton of different trades that could happen. We will just have to see if they are buyers or sellers when the deadline gets here. They do have 11 million still in cap space so they could trade Plumlee to someone making 20 million or so and pick up some more assets.
Season Goals
They flirted briefly with the playoffs this past year and ended up getting the 7th pick in the draft. They really need to make the playoffs this year that way they confirm they are a team on the rise. If they do that they can made land a free agent as they still need the all-star player to get the team over the top.
24. MavsDallas has two legit young players that could push for the all-star team maybe as early as this year in Dennis Smith and Marvin Bagley. Harris Barnes, Nerlens Noel Will Barton and Yogi Ferrell are veterans that make for a supporting cast worthy of a making the playoffs.
Key Additions Stephen Zimmerman, Doumbouya,
With a bunch of cap space and unable to land a major free agent yet they resigned Will Barton for 1 year. Stephen Zimmerman looks like a new man playing in the G league and is now a legit NBA starting Center. Dallas couldn’t get him to sign a 2 year deal though. They hope Doumbouya shows enough to make him a starter next year after Barnes moves on.
Biggest Question
How will the 2 headed duo at C (Noel, Zimmerman) play out since both are in the final year of contracts and will seek big $ ?
Possible Trades
Will Barton signed back with the Mavs and with Gary Trent 7 years younger if they are not in the playoffs Barton is liked traded. Even if you don’t get much back in return at worst you can trade him for a expiring deal and a few 2nds.
Season Goals
The west is loaded, but the Mavs have the right mix of young guys and veterans to be a scary team if they make the playoffs. Dallas is a big enough market to land a max free agent and they will have a ton of cap space. If they make the playoffs with improved seasons by Smith and Bagley then next year they should be a legit threat.
23. BullsThe Bulls are another team that has been collecting lottery picks and assets for years and will have a ton of cap space at the end of the year. Lauri Markkanen will miss the first 4 to 6 weeks of the season, which will really hurt their chances of making the playoffs. With Markkanen out early on they don’t have the talent to compete just yet, but the future looks bright with #1 pick R.J Barrett, Zach Levine, Markkaenen and a few more high potential players.
Key Additions R.J Barrett, Mike James
Mike James took a little less money they he wanted as he took a last minute deal with the Bulls who offered him a chance to be a starting PG. Barrett is the player everyone wants to talk about he is a franchise changing player who is a all star lock.
Biggest Question
Can Robert Williams and Bobby Portis must step in the first 6 weeks and hold serve without Markkanen?
Possible Trades
The Bulls would like to trade Felicio who has 2 years left on his contract with around 8 million per year. If they can shed his contract they can try and land 2 mega FA’s. When you factor in another possible lottery pick then you have the chance for a serious contender in the east soon.
Season Goals
The biggest thing they need is a good year from 2nd year players Robert Williams and Mushidi. If these two former lottery picks play better then the rest will work out somehow. If R.J lives up to the hype then people are going to want to play in Chicago.

WHEW. All caught up -- tough loss in the playoffs to the Pistons, but you did well getting as far as you did. You scored well in the draft too, I really like the moves you made there ... I definitely think this year is a year the 76ers are going to need to trade Saric.
Interesting moves for the Grizzlies, getting Okafor -- I like the fit. I just don't know if he and the rest of that team is enough to get them out of the top-5 in the draft.Comment
