Yea I played a stretch against some bad teams so it was good to see my team take care of business when they are suppose to. The CPU has been playing much better with my team this year. How I do things is I supersim games and then jump into them if its close in the 2nd half usually in the 4th quarter.
thanks man comments like this def make a difference and help me keep going. My writing skills and redneck English are not the best so I try to hide that lolRetro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: 2k18 - 76ers "the process needs results"
Trade Alert
Suns 22-25 (11th in West) 3 GB of 8th seed
The suns have been collecting assets for a few years and with rumors floating around Booker could leave in FA this summer the suns have made a blockbuster trade. The suns had to many SF’s on the roster with T.J Warren, Josh Jackson and Michael Porter. They get a major upgrade at PG as Conley is leading the NBA in scoring. If the suns win this trade it could come down to where that draft pick lands and if they can make the playoffs. It’s a steep price to pay for a over 30 PG on a young roster. The Suns now not only have a starting lineup capable of making the playoffs, but winning a few rounds.
Grizzles 15-33 (14th in West)
They started the rebuild last year with the trade of Gasol and with the year Conley is having it made sense for them to sell high on Conley. They have been devastated by injuries this year as Parsons, Triston Thompson and Evans have all missed the majority of the year. A major factor in this trade is the Grizzles need to land in the top 5 of the draft lottery or their pick belongs to the Celtics. Since they are currently in the top 5 now this trade should help confirm that.
T.J Warren is locked up for a long term and will likely setting in to a future 6th man role. Duval gives the Grizzles a 21 year old PG to grow along side the two lottery picks this past year at SG / SF. He was drafted 11th last year and he is averaging 10 and 5 as a rookie. The draft pick should bring in another young piece even if this draft class is weaker then last years. We look for them to trade Evans who will be getting back from injury soon.
----------------------------------------
Cavs 30-16 (2nd in West)
The whole world knows the Cavs needed to upgrade SG at the deadline and they have finally made a deal. Richardson is a good 3 & D guy to play alongside Isaiah Thomas and he is locked up for several more years. Zizic was behind Zach Randolph for backup big minutes. Korver was a fan favorite, but they couldn’t play him and Isaiah together on defense.
Heat 18-28 (11th in East)
Once again the heat are not going to make the playoffs despite paying the luxury tax and they also need to resign Justice Winslow. They have a lot of depth at SG and Zizic will get the chance to start at PF the rest of the year and play 30 minutes a game. This will allow some cap flexibility going forward as Richardson was locked into a long term deal.
--------------------------------------
Spurs 30 –23 (7th in west)
Last year the Spurs exited the playoffs early and as the current 7th seed was facing doing the same thing this year. The spurs also need to get younger and sit only 1.5 GB of the 4th seed. They need to get to atleast the 6th seed to increase the chances of winning a series. Danny Green just came back a few weeks ago from a major injury and doesn’t seem to be the same player as before. White hasn’t been anything special and the first round pick is lottery protected. Vucevic is in the last year of his deal, but the Spurs can decline Gasol’s option and use that money to get younger in the frontcourt. They also drafted a rookie PF this year they are very high on so they are starting to get younger.
Magic 17-37 (12th in east)
The playoff run last year appears to be a fluke and the Magic are of the worst teams in the NBA. They face a big offseason with several key free agents to sign and it doesn’t make sense to bring back the core of a team going nowhere . Peyton is not only a FA at the end of the year he is out for the year and the only PG on the roster is D..J Agustine. Since White Is under contract for next year he could be your starting PG. This trade also opens up minutes for the 16th pick Wendall Carter. The first round pick will likely be used for more guard depth. Green's contract is up at the end of the year.
---------------------------------
Hawks 22-31 (10th In East) 1.5 GB of 8th
A weird thing happened on the hawks way of tanking and getting another high draft pick they won 6 of 7 games and all of a sudden this young team sits 1.5 games back of the playoffs. This was all done without a healthy SG on the roster. The loss of the 2nd round pick will not hurt as they Hawks have three 1st round picks this year. Matthews can come up being a 3 & D guy and provide veteran leadership for a unlikely playoff chase. His contract is up at the end of the year.
Mavs 24-29 (11th in east )
The mavs aren’t going to make the playoffs and are loaded at SG with Curry, Barton and rookie Gary Trent. All of the players they get back are on expiring deals so basically they get a free 2nd round draft pick.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

The Spurs in a rare "win now" move, but an understandable one.
The Hawks had nothing to lose, might as well try -- worst that could happen is that they end up back in the lottery.
Interesting deal for the Cavs ... Zizic, I feel, was the ideal replacement for Thompson in a few years. Hammons might be that, Richardson does help them now, but the Heat made a deal here that doesn't help them long-term. Questionable decisions by their front office in recent years ... perhaps that South Beach allure has worn off, hmm?Comment

Re: 2k18 - 76ers "the process needs results"
Not sure about that Suns trade, but PERHAPS it's exactly what they need? A veteran guard who can lead the team on the floor should work wonders for them.

The heat are one of the teams from day 1 I struggled with as they wasn't going to win the east and didn't have many draft picks. The PF spot has been awful for them and still have Waiters and Tyler Johnson at SG. Hopefully Zizic plays well enough to start at 4 next year and they get land a young PG in the draft to replace Dragic.
Remember the Cavs have Mark Gasol as the starting Center so they are in win now mode and I didn't see any way they could beat the warriors or Rockets with the backcourt they had. I decided to trade Zizic and keep Osman that way If Lebron leaves they already have a young guy that can start on the roster.
Yea the suns are a legit team now and another reason I made the trade is I think it makes them a fun team to follow. I'll be cheering for them to make the playoffs so it makes my GM skills look good lol
Thanks that means a lot I try to keep the stuff I write pretty short as I figure nobody wants to read something that's super long from me. If you happen to write about country music (all I listen to) I would love to read it.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: 2k18 - 76ers "the process needs results"
76ers Cool Down - 2-21-18 Update
Clippers 95 -78 (win)
The defense held the Clippers to only 78 points for a solid road victory against a playoff team. Simmons held yet another off game with 3-7-4 as he fouled out. Fultz lead the way with 25 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assist and 3 steals. J.J was back up to playing 30 minutes and had 18 points.
Nuggets 90 -107 (loss)
Denver gets the win here despite a off game from Jokic as Milsap had 25 points. Ben would bounce back with 20 points, 4 rebounds and 10 assist as he got the start at PG. Embiid went for 12 and 12, but shot only 6 of 16. Covington and J.J both had off nights shooting as well
Nets 102 -104 (loss)
A close one that came down to the end as the newly acquired Julius Randall hit a go ahead layup with 4 seconds to go. Embiid had a wide open perfect look from the corner to win the game, but it missed and the 76ers lose a game they should have won. Randall had a nice game 19 and 6 boards while Russell scored 25. Embiid had a big game with 23 and 14 while Ben had 18 and 8.
Magic 110 -92 (win)
Ben and Embiid both scored over 20 and they took care of business against a bad team. The role players also did there part. Hezonja took advantage of more minutes with 20 points on 8 for 13 shooting.
Timberwolves 107 - 115 (loss)
Its looking like the wolves will not make the playoffs despite all that talent on the roster. They would however pick up the win here on a balanced effort. Ben continues to put his slump behind him with 20-10 -6. Allen seeing 25 minutes scored 13 while his mentor J.J scored 20 on 3 for 3 from 3. This was the 3rd loss in 4 games as the injuries are staring to show up and the all star break cant get here fast enough.
Raptors 104- 101 (win)
The big 2 for the raptors scored 19 points, but it wasn't enough as they fall just short in a possible eastern conference championship preview. Embiid was a monster on the glass with 18 rebounds and scored 15. Ben and Fultz also played great and 4 others scored in double figures.
Hawks 122- 92 (win)
Since making the trade to get into the playoffs Schroder got hurt and its killed the team as he was scoring 19 a game. The 76ers ran away with this one with a 40 point 3rd quarter. Embiid swapped his stat line around this time with 18 points and 15 rebounds. Fultz brought home the MVP with 25 points, 5 assist and 4 steals. Saric has had a bump up in minutes lately and had a near triple double with 8-12-8 and 2 steals.
Bulls 111-96 (win)
5 players scored over 16 for the 76ers and it was a easy victory in this one . This bulls are just wondering how many days till the draft lottery.
Pacers 96-105 (loss)
One of the surprising teams in the NBA the pacers sit 4 games above .500 this year and could potential bring in a big FA while resigning Myles Turner. KCP had 22 points while Turner had a double double and the Pacers win this one easy. It was pretty bland night for the 76ers offense.
Warriors 100-114 (loss)
The warriors improve to 47-9 and once again beat the 76ers pretty handily lead by the usual suspects. For the 76ers the big 3 all had over 20 with Embiid adding 13 rebounds and Simmons 9 rebounds and 6 assist. This was the last game before the all star break.

Re: 2k18 - 76ers "the process needs results"
2019 NBA Draft Preview
If you remember the 76ers punted on having the 8th pick in last year draft trading that to the Boston Celtics. The trade was a bit complicated likely landing them the Kings pick somewhere around where they would have drafted last year. The inside knowledge we have tells us that the 76ers made the trade with a specific player in mind. It is obviously too early to tell where that pick will end up at the All Star break though the Kings are one of the worst teams in the NBA. If the pick is lower then where it needs to be the 76ers have the assets to move up in the draft and land they player they target. Things can change, but early reports are it’s not as deep as last year’s draft. This appears to be a 5 or 6 man draft for elite talent depending on whom you talk to. Keep in mind the trade has top 1 protection so the 76ers will not land the 1st overall pick.
We asked one scout to speak off the record and he had this to say, “ This draft has more elite talent then last year. The problem is the depth once you get past picks 5 really goes down hill. Last they were some centers that went in the 20’s that would easily go in the top 10 in this draft. That’s why I was not surprised to see the Suns trade there draft pick to get Conley as I don’t see how you get a impact player outside the top 10. Don’t get me wrong they aren’t scrubs just for elite players you need to be in the top 5.”
R.J Barrett (15 badges)
He is basically a lock for the 1st overall pick and is a game changing prospect that is an A+ athlete. He can shoot, play defense, and score inside right away. Whoever gets the #1 pick isn’t going to trade out of it without getting a king’s ransom in return.
Zion Williamson (15 badges)
If anyone is going to push R.J to go #1 overall its Zion who will go in the top 2 regardless of need for the teams drafting. He is 6’8 250 and can play either PF or SF so he should fit into any team. He is an A+ athlete and is also elite at scoring down low and rebounding. Him joining up with Embiid would cause a nightmare frontcourt for years to come. If the 76ers land the 2nd pick it’s hard to imagine him not being the pick as it would be a perfect fit. The big question will be if you don’t land pick #2 how much would you be willing to trade up for him?
Romeo Langford (10 badges)
He isn’t the defense player that R.J is, but is a better shooter. The 76ers don’t need him to play defense with Covington, Ingles and Ben. He isn’t a great athlete and they already have 2 sub par athletes in Ingles and Covington and don’t need his 3-point shooting with Allen ready to play a bigger role next year. The 76ers could make it work, but it would require some work and overall isn’t a great fit.
Cameron Reddish (8 badges)
He is another player that will go in the top 4, but we wont talk much about him as we don’t think he is a fit as the 76ers have so much depth at SF. Most think he has more upside then anyone in the draft. So the 76ers are likely hoping he fits a team that’s drafting ahead of them
Bol Bol (10 badges)
The most intriguing player in the draft at only 19 is 7’2 Bol Bol who has a mind-blowing 8’1 wingspan. If you are 34 years of age are older then you will remember his dad playing in the NBA. The scouts are split on his upside and don’t know how much he will score at the next level. He is a much better 3 point shooter then his dad was and like Manute is very skinny weighing 215 points. In the USA vs The World game he completely stole the show with 31 points, 41 rebounds, 12 assist and 6 blocks. We have to temper expectations as The World team was very under matched and he got a lot of opportunities in the exhibition game still 31 and 41 is very impressive. I don’t think anyone is doubting his ability to block shots and rebound as rookie. He might not be a superstar, but he would be a fan favorite for obvious reasons.
a 7'2 guy that can hit 3's
A chip off of the old block
A Few Others to Watch
Kostas Antetokounmpo
He is a very raw prospect (69 overall) and as you can guess with his last name he has a lot of upside and size. His potential is a as good as any in the draft he just isn’t going to make a impact for at least his rookie year. Would the 76ers be willing to trade back and collect future assets and take him ?
Sharif O’neal
Before you ask yes this is Shaq’s son and while he doesn’t have his size and talent he is still worthy of being drafted late in the lottery. He still has size at 6’10 and 232 and at 72 overall should be able to get some minutes as a rookie. We don’t project him as a future all star, but he can be a starter.
Keldon Johnson
If you want a name that is going 6th overall then you have it with Keldon Johnson who has A- potential. He has the size as a 6’6 SG that can also really shoot with B+ from long range.
Seko Doumbouya
If he reaches his potential he will be a NBA all star that will likely be drafted outside the top 10. The bad news he is under contract overseas for 3 more years so he will not be playing in the NBA anytime soon. Would the 76ers trade back with say the Hawks who have multiple first round picks take little greek freak and then be patient and wait on Seko to develop overseas? That way down the line when your paying max $ to the big 3 and drafting in the bottom of the first round you have 2 more elite prospects under rookie contracts? It would likely draw boo’s from the Philly crowd. If your thinking long-term this might makes some sense if you aren't able to get Zion or R.J.
Let us know what you would do and who you would target ?

Re: 2k18 - 76ers "the process needs results"
April 1st NBA Update
The 76ers since the all star break haven't been playing great, but good enough to still have a firm grasp on the #1 seed. In the month of March they went 8-5 and have 8 games left this season and now have everyone back fully healthy.
The trade of the Suns doesn't look like its going to pay off with a playoff trip this year some of that goes to bad luck. A week after the trade Josh Jackson broke his right ankle. Brook Lopez has also been playing thought a injury. The draft pick does has some protections in it and look for the Suns to be a major player next year with a healthy squad.
The Celtics have been one of the hottest teams in the NBA and now have rookie Mohamed Bamba back healthy. They also have the newly signed Chris Bosh who started at PF for the Celtics last year. The Celtics went 10-3 last month and should get at least the #5 seed maybe even as high as #2. Kyrie Irving is once again hurt and likely will have to miss the first round of the playoffs. He has played in only 40 games this year.
The Pacers have lost 7 games in a row and are currently not in the playoffs.
The Wizards are the team nobody wants to face in the 1st round if they can keep everyone healthy. They made it to 7 games of the NBA finals last year and are a dangerous 7-8 seed.
One of the teams that did make a bold move was the Spurs who went 12-5 this past month and all the way up from barley in the 8th seed to the 4th seed. Its looking like a brilliant move they made with the rare win now trade.
Julius has been playing very well since getting the chance to start and be a feature guy for the Nets. In the month of March he is averaging 15.7 points and 9.1 rebounds while currently having the Nets in the playoffs.
The Hawks miracle playoff run was over very fast and they are back to picking in the top 5 of the draft.
The Cavs finally made the trade at the deadline for a SG and now they are in worse shape then ever as they gave up Kyle Korver. Josh Richardson got hurt and is out for the year and Cedi Osman is out for at least 1 more month, In odd news both players went down with the same injury a dislocated Left Patella. Lebron is now starting at SG and they hope a SG will be bought out, but since they are -45.71 million in the luxury tax its not looking good.

Re: 2k18 - 76ers "the process needs results"
A quick update
I have finished the regular season and have some things going on tonight and tomorrow so I will not be able to actually play the first game till probably Thursday. I also will be out of town from Saturday till Monday. In the meantime I have some end of season and playoff preview stuff to post that I will have up before Saturday. I will try and have the first playoff game up before I head out Saturday also.
I am still not sure exactly how I will handle how many games I play in the playoffs. Since I have played more my skill has gotten a little better so I will adjust accordingly after the first round. I usually tweak sliders and stuff as I go along, but I don't want to do anything to drastic in the middle of the playoffs.
Thanks for following along and I cant wait to get into the playoffs and the offseason.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: 2k18 - 76ers "the process needs results"
Philly doing work! Holding onto that first seed is huge.
As for the draft picks, I'm leaning towards getting a big -- insurance for Embiid. Okafor won't be cheap for much longer and big extensions loom for all your 1st round talent ... grabbing Bol to serve as Embiid's relief and a super-sixth man makes sense to me on paper.Comment
