    The Jim Janis Legacy.....

    The Particulars

I have decided to throw my hat into the ring and begin a College Hoops 2k7 Legacy with the Univesity of North Florida. The Ospreys will compete in the Atlantic Sun Conference which includes Belmont, Campbell, East Tennessee State, Gardner-Webb, cross-town rival Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, and Stetson.

They will be coached by the fictional Jim Janis.

This is the schools second year in Division I after twelve seasons in Division II.

I will be using mostly my assistants when it comes to recruiting as I will be making the games themselves the focus of this legacy.

    The Groundwork

    PLATFORM: Playstation 2
    MODE: MOP
    HALF LENGTH: 15 minutes
SLIDERS: I will be using a slightly modified version of Ghetto Star’s MOP Sliders that have been modified by RavenManiac5220.
    ROSTERS: kenmasters06 rosters
RECRUITING: Since I haven’t played the game in a few years and I don’t want to get too bogged down with recruiting, I will be using the recruiting assistance with mininal input on my end. If I start pulling some outrageous recruits, we may add some rules to tone down recruiting.
RED SHIRTING: Only true freshmen can be red-shirted.
SCHEDULING: We will go with the computer generated schedules.

The Down Low on the Ospreys:

    2005-06 RECORD: 6-22, 3-17
    GRADES: Overall: 64, Offense: 69, Defense: 58, Shooting: 72, Rebounding: 61

    Re: The Jim Janis Legacy.....

Jim Janis began his coaching tenure at North Florida by hiring two assistants, Bienvenu Esparza and Chip Dunleavy. Esparza, 54, is especially good at scouting opponents and comes to UNF with a B- scouting rating. Dunleavy, 39, is a defensive specialist and really doesn’t contribute too much else.

    Let’s meet your Ospreys:
    Starting Lineup:

    PG – Chris Timberlake – Junior – OVR: 60
    SG – Aaron Caruthers – Sophomore – OVR: 59
    SF – Germaine Sparkes – Freshman – OVR: 55
    PF – Rashad Wallace – Senior – OVR: 65
    C – James Grimball – Junior – OVR: 62

    Bench:

    PF – Arnold Henry – Junior – OVR: 55
    PF – Gallo Cham – Junior – OVR: 54
    PF – Chip Polite – Freshman – OVR: 53
    PG – Coretz Riley – Sophomore – OVR: 53
    PG – Ian Gibson – Sophomore – OVR: 51
    SG – Jonson Yousefzadeh – Sophomore – OVR: 47

    Transfers (sitting out year):

SG – Tom Hammonds – Junior – OVR: 64 (Transfer from East Carolina)
SF – Stan Januska – Sophomore – OVR: 53 (Transfer from Morehead State)

ahhh...a UNF dynasty....i thought i was going to be the only one with this one ( im in the middle of my UNF dynasty right now and was thinking of doing a dynasty page and just start reporting from where im at in my season)

That's where i went to school tho, and actually tried out for the team back when i was going there, but blew out my knee 1st day of tryouts. I created myself and used some the names of the players i was friends with back then (i didn't edit any ratings or size, etc...just edited jersey #'s, skin color and class)...so my dynasty will be a bit different...sort of a fantasy "what could have been" for me.....

But since this is my school, i'll be following yours as well....Go OSPREYS!!! good luck, playing with UNF is tough...i started out 0-7 until i finally won my 1st game (lost 2 at the buzzer, most by atleast double digits)...im currently 2-9 and about to play my cross town rival Jacksonville Dolphins. good luck!

Jim Janis Gets First Coaching Win

Chris Timberlake poured in a game high 20 points

                          11/25/06
Evanston, IL (AP) – The 288th-ranked North Florida Ospreys finally got into the win column on Friday night with a surprising 62-55 victory over the 122nd-ranked Northwestern Wildcats at Welsh-Ryan Arena.

The Ospreys overcome an ice cold start in which they missed their first ten shots from the field as they fell behind 9-0. They ended up shooting 43% from the floor and had a season high nine three pointers on 16 attempts.

Chris Timberlake led the Ospreys in scoring again, throwing in 20. Aaron Caruthers had a season high 16.

Vince Scott led the Wildcats (2-3) with 9 points and six boards.

The Ospreys will next travel to Belmont (2-1) for their conference opener on Thursday night.
