WEEK 1: Chicago (0-0) at San Francisco (0-0)
This was a great game for the Niners. They had a crazy first half and the Chicago Bears looked disoriented the entire game.

          1st Quarter
Chicago got the ball first but were forced to punt-- something that would happen often throughout the game. The 49ers first possession was the polar opposite as Garcia hit Garrison Hearst for a 45-yard touchdown. After the Bears punted again, Jimmy Williams returned it 53 yards for another touchdown to give the Niners a 14-0 head start. Just before the quarter ended, Chandler nailed a 46 yard field goal to extend the lead to 17.

          2nd Quarter
The 49ers were forced to punt for the first time. The punt returner for the Bears got crushed by Ronnie Heard and consequently fumbled the ball. Heard picked it up and ran it into the endzone. Chicago's offense continued to be a failure. Garcia completed a 46 yard pass to Owens down to the 15 yard line and then Hearst ran the ball the rest of the way in on the next play. The 49ers now had a 31-0 lead. Chicago threatened to score late in the half but Deion Sanders intercepted the ball to keep the shutout alive.

          3rd Quarter
Defense was on tap for the second half. Chicago managed to get onto the scoreboard with a 38 yard field goal by Edinger. Other than that, there was no scoring to be had.

          4th Quarter
Same as the third quarter, both offenses failed to make it past midfield. The 49ers added another touchdown thanks to Ahmed Plummer's 5 yard INT return to paydirt. At 38-3, San Francisco chose to sit on the lead as they ran out the final minutes of the game.

          FINAL: SF defeats Chicago 38-3

          Key Performances
          QB Jeff Garcia - 113.7, 11/21, 274 yards, TD
RB Garrison Hearst - 24 att, 70 yards, TD - 2 rec, 49 yards, TD
WR Terrell Owens - 4 rec, 148 yards
WR Antonio Freeman - 4 rec, 71 yards
CB Ahmed Plummer - 6 tackles, INT, TD
CB Deion Sanders - 7 tackles, INT

          San Francisco 49ers: 1-0

If you don't mind me asking, what are your slider settings and did you do them yourself, or did you see them somewhere?

Thanks for the compliments you guys.

As for the sliders, I have no problem with you asking. Until I figure out Madden (like Playmaker, etc.), the sliders are slightly tilted in my favor. Basically all my things are moved two notches to the right (of center) and the CPU's all are 1-2 notches to the left (of center). I completely left Special Teams alone as well as penalties. Hope this doesn't make me seem like a bad player having the sliders in my favor...
