      #13 Michigan   21   38-59
               Indiana    39   38-77

#13 Michigan knew that despite Indiana's struggles so far this season, it would be by no means a cakewalk in Bloomington, which is always a trap game.

Still, the Wolverines were confident that their fast break offense could get by the scrappy Hoosiers.

But they were stone-walled, and Indiana blew them away in every major statistical category: FG% 62-33, assists 26-11, rebounds 35-25, and points in the paint 42-24. The Wolverines only managed 4 fast break points, and were never close in this one as Indiana rolled, 77-59.

      Player of the Game

Marshall Strickland: 18 points, 13 assists

      MICHIGAN WOLVERINES
Daniel Horton: 20 points, 4 steals, 2 assists
Dion Harris: 10 points, 3 assists, 2 steals
Brent Petway: 10 points, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks

      INDIANA HOOSIERS
      Robert Vaden: 12 points
Pat Ewing, Jr: 12 points, 6 rebounds
      D.J. White: 11 points, 10 rebounds
Sean Kline: 11 points, 13 rebounds

      Next Game: Wisconsin (8-7) @ #13 Michigan (13-4)

                          Wisconsin   39   26-65
                  #13 Michigan    47   40-87

Coming off their poor showing in Bloomington against Indiana, the Wolverines were dubbed by many as pretenders when it came to the Big Ten Championship.

But Michigan responded beautifully, by dominating the favored Badgers from Wisconsin 87-65, maintaining an increasingly dominant home court advantage. But their home court advantage will not save them, as they take on #10 Michigan State in East Lansing next.

                  Player of the Game

                  WISCONSIN BADGERS

Alando Tucker: 13 points, 7 rebounds
Boo Wade: 7 points, 7 assists

                              #17 Michigan            32   47-79
                              #10 Michigan State   39   41-80

Aside from the obvious challenge that powerhouse Illinois will pose later in the season, Michigan State was the biggest obstacle standing in the way of the Wolverines. The Spartans had a voodoo hex over Michigan over the past decade, and they would need it to win this one.

The Spartans led for much of the game, snagging a 39-32 halftime lead. Michigan clawed and fought back midway through the second half however, and had a 3 point lead. The Spartans 1-2 punch of Chris Hill and Paul Davis was far too powerful though, and MSU took the lead back. But still, Michigan's three of a kind in Daniel Horton, Dion Harris and Lester Abram appeared to have MSU's pair beat.

And then the hex surfaced, as Michigan--the nation's best team at the FT line--missed 6 FTs in the final 30 seconds, and Chris Hill hit a triple with 15 seconds left. Daniel Horton took the ball, and looked to drive, but then pulled up at the last second, only to have his off balance shot hit nothing but rim, and the Breslin Center erupted in cheers, as the Spartans fought back the little brother, 80-79.
