They roared all the way back and led by as much as three, but the Hawkeyes had momentum all day, and rode their home crowd to a 71-65 victory.

                #3 Michigan     26   43-69

Horton's heroics sparks #3 Michigan to win over Wisconsin

Coming off an absolutely abysmal 28 point loss to unranked Indiana that will surely hurt them in the polls, the #3 Wolverines returned home to take on the struggling 7-8 Badgers of Wisconsin.

Wisky jumped out early to a 10-2 lead, and it seemed like Michigan was hungover from their previous humiliation in Bloomington. But the Wolverines eventually found their legs and turned the game into a slugfest, as they tied it at 20. Neither team led by more than 4 for most of the remainder of the game, as they traded shots back and forth. Daniel Horton took the game over though, as he scored 14 of the final 18 points for the Maize and Blue, including 8 from the FT line, as the Wolverines pulled away at the end for a 69-63 win.

                Player of the Game

                        #7 Michigan            27   53-80
                              Michigan State   39   49-88

Wolverines can't get over the hump, lose to Spartans

The Wolverines were on FIRE, shooting nearly 70% in the second half to the tune of 53 points.

The only thing was, the Spartans shot 56% themselves in the second half and MSU had a 12 point lead at halftime.

Put those two things together, and you get an 88-80 Michigan State win, Michigan's 3rd loss in 7 games after a 13-0 start to the season. The Wolverines were without star point guard Daniel Horton for most of the first half due to foul trouble, and it showed, as the Spartans ran all over the Wolverines, building up a 39-27 lead at the break, a lead that swelled to 52-38 before Horton returned. But it was too little, too late as the Wolverines dropped back to .500 in Big Ten play at 3-3.
