Nice win. The one I miss about NCAA 13 is that the QB is always at risk to break off an 80 yard run like that. In 14, no matter what sliders are used, it's hard to do.

I know you're playing 13, but could I get your sliders. The games in my Eastern Dynasty have felt a little too easy. I kinda just wanna lose my next game just because we should. I have to play @ #12 USC with the now worst team in the game due to playing with BuffEye's new rosters. I know it sounds weird but I've played better @ Ole Miss with EWU then I did with Texas State vs. an FCS school. I'm playing on the same difficulty (Heisman) but the only thing that's changed are the sliders.

        Not a problem.

You may want to tweak them on defense. I dominate the run game but get shredded in pass coverage. Run blocking could be bumped a tad too. Other than that they're fair. I've used them the entire dynasty and my record is 27-24.

Hey thanks I'll be sure to try these out. And I'm guessing you play on Heisman. Also do you play defense or just sim it because I remember you saying you left defense to the computer.

Yeah I play Heisman. And up til this point I simmed D, but I'm considering playing D starting next year.

              Wrapping Up 2015

Taking a look around the American Athletic Conference, it appears the AAC had a successful season, as 6 teams would play in bowl games. Unfortunately, only 2 of them would raise a bowl trophy. One was Tulane, the other was Houston, who defeated Utah State in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl. Let's look at how the rest of the conference fared during Bowl Season:

New Mexico Bowl: Houston 31, Utah State 12
              Beef 'o Brady's Bowl: North Texas 38, UConn 31
Belk Bowl: Virginia Tech 28, Cincinnati 23
Russell Athletic Bowl: Georgia Tech 21, South Florida 17
BBVA Compass Bowl: LSU 24, Temple 20

              Heisman Trophy
Ohio Bobcats RB Kyle Hammonds takes home the Heisman Trophy this year, making him the MAC's first-ever player to bring home the award. Running Back was clearly the premier position in college football in 2015, as all 5 finalists for the award played the RB position. Let's look at how the remaining 4 finalists stood:

              2016 BCS National Championship
Ohio University may have controversially made the National Championship Game, but they proved they didn't belong, as Notre Dame completed a perfect 13-0 season, winning the title 38-24. QB Everette Golson is your game MVP.

              Other BCS Matchups
There were some really good BCS matchups this season. Let's look at them:

Rose Bowl: Iowa wins the Big Ten, then rolls Arizona State 52-24.
Sugar Bowl: Georgia won the SEC, but somehow is leapfrogged by an undefeated Ohio for the National Title. They respond by thumping TCU 45-24.
Orange Bowl: Boise State crashes the BCS party after beating Nevada for the MWC title, then claims its 3rd BCS victory, this time over ACC Champ Virginia, 31-14. (Deuce2223, you're welcome )
Fiesta Bowl: One could call this year's Fiesta Bowl as a "Rose Bowl, Tier 2" game, featuring Oregon and Wisconsin. Oregon comes out on top, 27-17.

On a side note, Alabama and Michigan State meet for the 4th time in 5 years in a bowl game, this time in the Capital One Bowl. With Michigan State winning 34-30, the "series" between these two is even at 3-3. Do I smell a rivalry brewing???

              How The American Finished
The American was a very competitive conference this season, and only looks to get better going into 2016. Here's how the conference shaped up this season:

Re: Tulane Football: "From Worst to First"

                Notable Coaching Changes

Tulane Athletic Director Rick Dickson has announced that both OC Charley Molnar and DC Lionel Washington have been retained on the football staff, as both have signed 2-year contract extensions. This has made Coach Kaelyn Willingham a very happy man.

I'm very happy to hear that Coach Molnar and Coach Washington have been retained on the staff. Continuity is very important to building a successful program, and we here at Tulane plan to take this program to new heights. Kudos to the AD!

Looking around the rest of the nation, there have been some VERY surprising coaching changes this offseason.

Duke's David Cutcliffe has been hired to replace Nick Saban at Alabama, who has been let go after an uninspiring 8-5 campaign.

Jimbo Fisher has been ousted at Florida State after going 7-6 and 4-7 the past two seasons.

Bill Snyder has finally retired from college football. NC State's Dana Bible has been hired as his replacement at Kansas State.

After helping turn Maryland from an ACC chump into a Big Ten champ, Randy Edsall has left for greener pastures, taking the job at USC. He hopes to return the Trojan program back to the ranks of the elite.

Though Michigan overall hasn't been anything special the past few years, the offense has been good enough to land Al Borges the HC gig at Penn State.

The B1G also looks to have brothers coaching in the same division, as Carl Pelini (brother of Nebraska's Bo Pelini) has accepted the HC job at Purdue. Hopefully the Nebraska-Purdue game will become a competitive one.

Some programs have kicked the tires on old coaches looking for another shot. The following coaches have landed HC jobs at lower-tier schools, looking for a rebound: Lane Kiffin at Ball State, Nick Saban at New Mexico, and Jimbo fisher at Louisiana-Lafayette.

                  2016 Signing Day!

Tulane is proud to announce this year's signing class. Including mostly 3-star players, the most notable recruit is 4-star ATH Josh Williams, from Oak Ridge, TN. No positions of need this year, Tulane just recruited "athletic braniacs."

Nick Saban to New Mexico?!?!?!?! Interested in seeing how that program does in the future. KSW, would it be too much to ask for you to throw a update on New Mexico to see what Saban does with them please? If not, it's totally cool. Good luck with the upcoming season.

lol. Funny thing is in real life most all UM fans want Borges gone, as in fired.

In my Wyoming dynasty there was a shocking transfer of then SO QB Shane Morris (former 5* UM recruit, played in BWW Bowl against K State this bowl season) to........TOLEDO! Morris has wanted to play for UM since he learned to walk basically, so I lol'd pretty hard when I saw that.

Then, good 'ol Al Borges was hired on as the HC at TOLEDO a year or 2 later. So, basically the game made Borges follow his QB recruit to TOLEDO, but after Morris sat out a year per NCAA transfer rules. I need to keep closer tabs on this situation...

Borges did get fired. And Morris probably will transfer to Toledo after he sucks so bad he gets benched for the kicker.

Cheating Scandal Blackens Eye on Tulane Campus

While many Tulane faithful have been looking forward to this football season with great promise, a black eye may dampen their moods.

Tulane Administration have been informed of mass cheating occurring in the Men’s Basketball program during the 2015-2016 academic year. The scandal broke out when it was reported that star PG Jonathan Stark received inappropriate benefits in the form of illegal study aids to have assignments completed without him putting in much work. The trickle-down effect from this has led to at least four other unnamed players admitting to also receiving said illegal benefits, according to an unidentified source. Men’s Basketball coach Ed Conroy has denied these reports, saying that further investigation is needed “in order for the truth to come out.”

Conroy: “I know very little about these reports. I feel more investigation is needed in order for the truth to come out. I can tell you one thing that’s for sure: I’m not guilty of anything.”

                            Jonathan Stark

Unfortunately the scandal has affected not only the Men’s Basketball team. In an interview with ESPN’s Samantha Ponder, Stark also mentioned a few names on the Football team. Most notably RB Wendell Goolsby, who has yet to comment on the matter. Stark also mentioned QB Jon Harper, a JUCO transfer who enrolled at Tulane in January. Head Football Coach Kaelyn Willingham briefly commented on the matter yesterday at the Tulane Football Media Day.

Willingham:“I am aware of the situation involving Jon [Harper] and Wendell [Goolsby], and trust me when I say that the matter will be handled swiftly and appropriately.”

Tulane Athletic Director Rick Dickson also spoke on the matter at the conference.

Dickson: “We are in constant contact with the Board of Directors and the Advisory Council on Academic Integrity. We are working to understand the problem and look for best courses of action to solve it.”

                            Wendell Goolsby

The Men’s Basketball team is currently on break and will begin their season in November; the Football team opens their season on September 1 at Central Florida. Goolsby’s status for the game has not changed at this point. More information coming soon.

^ There we go, that's what I've been waiting to see. Haha.

Drug bust on the Blue Mountain State campus, academic issues on Tulane's campus.

Why can't we all just do the right thing?

Very nice KSW. Nice turn of events there sir. Looking forward to seeing where Tulane goes from here. Do they possibly get the SMU "Death Sentence" or rebound and possibly just get hit in the recruiting side and show the country what they are made of? Great write up again.
