Man...you run some great dynasties! I was reading through your Bengals one, and now Im hooked on this. Only thing I dont like about this one is how messed up some of the teams look. Not your fault obviously...but some of these roster and coaching changes would never ever happen....at least not in the quantity that they are happening in....like elite head coaches being fired and proven franchise QBs not being resigned....great job as usual, EA!

Anyway...still a fun read. Love the cheerleader pics as well....maybe too much.

Thanks for checking in. All that coaching and FA monkey business (not just QB's, but too many first round picks as well) prompted me to convert this to 32-team control when I discovered I could do that. Doesn't happen until mid-next season though (yes, I'm that far behind) so we have one more wonky offseason ahead.

Sucks about EA not being able to do math and leaving someone out the playoffs. Zac Piper is becoming the Grant Hill of the NFL right now with all these injuries, this is getting crazy. I can imagine the Denver front office is losing their mind every time he goes down.

Next season is going to be key to his career in Denver. If he misses a bunch of games again, it may be time to move on.

                      haha

But isn't there a rule that there has to be a player from each team?

Maybe that's just the All-Star game.

Most Denver fans are not asking if the Broncos wan win, but by how much they will lose. The have short memories. The broncos are the only team to have beaten the Jets at MetLife this season, and they did it with Jake Locker playing the entire game. Since then, however, Denver John Fox has said that he never wants to see Locker on the field for the Broncos again, and it will be Tyler Bray trying to lead Denver to another road upset of the Jets.

                        Geno Smith - 70.2 rating, 314/566 (55.5%), 3559 yards, 14 TD, 17 INT

Locker-Led Rally Falls Short As Jets Oust Broncos

During the 2017 regular season the Denver Broncos were the only team to inflict a home loss on the New York Jets. And they did it with Jake Locker playing the entire game at quarterback. But Locker’s play in later games, however, led head coach John Fox to say he never wanted to see Locker on the field again. Fox is now eating crow, and may be wishing he had given more weight to Locker’s earlier performance against the Jets and had him start Denver’s wild card game at MetLife Stadium. The Broncos trailed 24-7 at halftime, and Tyler Bray’s outing lasted only until the first Denver series of the second half, when Bray threw his third interception of the game. With the playoff stats included, Bray finished the season with three times as many interceptions (18) as touchdowns (6). All Locker achieved in less than a half of work was complete 20 of 23 passes for almost 200 yards, and 2 touchdowns, sparking a rally that may have become a classic if it hadn’t run out of time. With a 31-28 loss, Denver’s season is now over. Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

In the game’s opening series, the Broncos made one first down before having to punt. The Jets then reached a first and goal at the 10, but a Danny Trevathan sack put them in a 4th and 17 and they had so settle for a field goal in that red zone visit. The score stayed 3-0 until 3:45 remained in the half, when the Broncos scored the game’s first touchdown on a 15 yard pass from Bray to tight end Dave Joyce. Two plays after the kickoff T.Y. Hilton took a Geno Smith pass 42 yards after the catch for a 73 yard score, with Hilton burning fellow Pro-Bolwer Aqib Talib. On Denver’s next play from scrimmage, Bray was picked off by linebacker L.J. Fort at the Bronco 29. Despite getting hit while throwing, Geno Smith hit Devin Stovall for a 24 yard touchdown, and just like that the Broncos were down 17-7. Things went from bad to worse before the break, with the next Denver possession lasting three plays, until Bray was intercepted at the 25 by Antonio Cromartie. Two plays later, Lavelle Hawkins’ 21 yard touchdown catch made it 24-7.

The first series of the second half ended with Eric Hagg picking of Smith at the New York 41. Bray’s third interception, again to Fort, came three plays later, but the Jets then went three and out. Locker capped his first series at the helm with a touchdown sneak on 4th and inches at the 1. New York responded with Smith’s 36 yard strike to Hawkins, then Locker was intercepted Claudeson Finner at the New York 36. On its way to keeping the Jets from scoring for the remainder of the game, the Denver defense forced a punt. Locker then drove the Broncos to his 8 yard touchdown pass to Justin Hunter, cutting the Jets’ lead to 10 at 31-21 with 6:55 left in the game. After the Jets punted for a touchback at the 2 minute warning, Locker engineered another touchdown drive, hitting Virgil Green for a 9 yard score with the clock down to 32 ticks. The ensuing onside kickoff failed, and with the Jets making a first down, the Broncos never saw the ball again.

                                Gase Takes Colorado Job

Adam Gase is headed up the road to Boulder

Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase has accepted the head coaching job at the University of Colorado, succeeding the recently-fired Mike McIntyre. Gase has been instrumental in the Broncos' seven consecutive playoff appearances, from reaching the postseason with Tim Tebow, to winning 2 AFC titles and a Super Bowl with Peyton Manning, to sending rookie QB Zac Piper to the Pro Bowl with only 11 starts. Gase has interviewed for open head coaching jobs in the NFL, but said he gets the best of both worlds here- getting a head coaching gig while getting to remain in the state of Colorado. His job with the Buffs is his first time in the college ranks since working for Nick Saban at LSU from 2000-02.
