Some useless offensive tackle, or punter I'm sure.

Anyway, I can't believe Belichick got fired. The teacher should not be punished for the student's (Brandon Weeden's) TOTAL INCOMPETENCE.

Again, sorry for completely derailing this thread with our constant Patriots chat. We are pissed and demand to know what the hell is happening.

I'll lmao if the Hoodie goes to Buffalo and goes 16-0 next season.

Pats better go QB. The whole Weeden thing was a ploy to get the no. 1 pick without having to trade for it.

As usual, they've gone waaaay overboard with "original" names for the draft classes. It really has me burned that you can't edit player names.

And the NFC has two white All-Pro corners.

                          Game Notes
After splitting their regular season meetings and both going 11-5, the Broncos and Raiders get a rubber game to decide the best in the West and advancement to the divisional round. Denver lost at home without Zac Piper and won in Oakland with him, and the Broncos are confident that a home game in January against a California-based team, with Piper at the helm, can only produce a victory. Let's hope that's not overconfidence.

                              KING ME

King's 3 TD Catches Propel Broncos To Divisional Round

If it had been a game of Madden NFL 11, Gus Johnson would have been yelling “get this man a new contract!” after Tavarres King’s third touchdown catch gave the Denver Broncos a 28-7 third quarter lead over the Oakland Raiders in the wild card round of the 2016 playoffs. King, whose tenure in Denver may be over when the Broncos’ postseason run ends, may now have GM John Elway re-considering his options. A deep field of young receivers has had King in a “wait and see” status all season, and the team has yet to begin negotiating an extension. At this late juncture, that’s a good indicator that for whatever reason, the team’s future plans don’t include King. That reason may be less performance-based than necessity. With the Broncos finishing the regular season in the bottom three in total defense and pass defense, Elway’s big picture may require the money that would be spent retaining King to be invested in some defensive upgrades. It’s likely that Denver’s postseason is an opportunity for King to be auditioning for other teams, and after a three-touchdown performance in a playoff game, somebody is going to pay the young man. King’s big day was part of rookie quarterback Zac Piper going 32-of-40 for 334 yards and improving to 2-0 vs. the Raiders with the 28-14 win. With all four of Denver’s touchdowns coming through the air, touchdown machine Montee Ball didn’t find the end zone, but he did contribute 94 rushing yards to Denver’s offensive output.

After the Raiders began the game with a three and out that included a sack by Corey Wootton, Exavier Shade returned the punt to the Oakland 49, and the Broncos scored in three plays. Fullback Lex Hilliard turned a catch in the flat into a pickup of 28 yards, then Piper found King for 10 before hitting Virgil Green for an 11 yard touchdown. Josh Cribbs took the following kickoff to the house but Russell Allen was flagged for clipping, and a Boris Toodle sack forced another Oakland punt. To open the next series, Piper went deep on a double pump-and-go and was picked off by Karrington Newsome. A Cribbs reception put the ball at the Denver 22, then Willie Duckett’s pass to tight end Johnathan Lawton made it first and goal at the 5. Emmanuel Shepard ran it in from there and the score was tied at 7, but the King would be scoring the game’s next three touchdowns. With the Broncos in a third and long, Newsome thieved another Piper deep ball, but on the next three plays, Martez Wilson (looking like Von Miller) recorded a pair of sacks and Taylor Mays intercepted Duckett at the Denver 38. After the turnover was converted into King’s first TD catch, Mays ended the next possession with another pick, this one in the end zone. Neither team had another scoring opportunity until late in the half. Getting up wobbly after a sack by Malliciah Goodman at the Oakland 13, Piper went to the sidelines to get checked out. In his absence, Jake Locker threw an incomplete pass, then fired to King for a touchdown with 2:49 remaining before the break. The Broncos got the ball back before the end of the quarter, and with Piper back at the helm, reached the Raider 7 with 10 ticks left. But Piper was then blindsided by his old friend Sio Moore, and lost the ball on what John Fox thought was an incomplete pass but which was ruled a fumble, which was recovered by Oakland at the 12.

After receiving the second half kickoff, the Broncos were in a 3rd and 4 at the Oakland 13 when King recorded his hat trick. Denver was done scoring, but it would be more than enough. The Raiders’ only other score of the game came after Matt Prater missed a 35 yard field goal attempt with 11:59 to go. Duckett’s 31 yard touchdown strike to Brad Smith came with 7:20 to play, but Oakland’s final possession ended with Dunta Robinson grabbing a pick off a drop by tight end Nick Kasa.

The wild card victory sets up a trip to Jacksonville for a rematch with the Jaguars, who defeated the Broncos in Denver last week.
