How in tarnation is Boise State that bad??? 1-8, are you kidding? On the bright side, it does allow some change at the top of the Mountain West, like y'all.

Thanks for the offer. I don't plan to really do any editing. My plan is to upload 4 quarters of the game as separate videos and each one is somewhere around 20 minutes of runtime (10 min quarters + cut scenes etc). Maybe it'll be easy without doing any editing.

Boise State finished the season 2-10 by the way. They have a game-generated QB and although his ratings aren't really bad (80 OVR or so), that seems to be the main thing that's different from their conference champion team the year before. And Jeremy McNichols graduated, too.

One of the final studio updates with Rece Davis [unintentionally] savaged Boise State by showing their loss to make them 2-10 and then mentioning how it makes them "bowl ineligible." As if they had a shot by going 3-9 instead, lol.

2018g11: Wyoming @ San Diego State

Senior wide receiver #3 Joseph Parker gets dragged down from behind after securing a first down catch.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- It was purported to be strength versus strength. Wyoming's twelfth-ranked scoring offense (33.5 PPG) doing glorious battle with San Diego State's twelfth-ranked scoring defense (18.7 PPG allowed).

        Nah, bro.

At least in the first half anyway, this game bore no resemblance at all to what was anticipated. Wyoming racked up 20 first downs in the 1st half alone as they took San Diego Stadium by storm leaving the Aztec defense shell shocked. Nico Evans got Coach Bohl's fighting machine on the board via a seven-yard run with 6:06 to play in the first quarter. Cooper Rothe followed that with a very conservative field goal make from 19 yards out at the 1:37 mark of the opening quarter to make it 10-0.

Then in the second quarter, things really got lit. Wyoming forcibly entered San Diego State's endzone three times in the final three minutes of the half. A two-yard Mike Green II touchdown plunge was followed by a Kevin Prosser 19-yard pick-six only ten seconds afterward. And it was not even ten seconds from that moment when SDSU's Tayler Hawkins busted a 99-yard kickoff return touchdown. But, the Pokes weren't having any of that from these jive turkies as Nico Evans punctuated yet another Wyoming touchdown drive with a one-yard dive 20 seconds before halftime. A 31-14 game at the half, Wyoming's offense was threatening to put up weird numbers.

Sadly, however, all the fun was already had in the first half. In the second half, the game settled into the holding pattern that was originally expected. The only score by either team was an Aztec field goal with 3:52 to go in the third quarter. Coach Bohl was more than happy to punt and watch San Diego State's 103rd-ranked scoring offense (22.5 PPG) mount futile drive after futile drive.

Aztec redshirt senior quarterback Christian Chapman completed 15/22 (68%) for 232 yards a TD plus that nagging little matter of a backbreaking pick-six (162.6 QB rating). Chapman is a "balanced" quarterback and, thus, only carried three times for 12 yards--a total non-factor. Aztec redshirt junior tailback Malik Roberson was listed as 'probable' with a sprained ankle, but Rocky Long gave him a heavy workload nonetheless. Roberson carried 23 times for 97 yards (4.2 YPC) with a long of only 13 yards--definitely not a home run threat.

Looking at the Wyoming stat sheet, Nico Evans did it yet again. He's as consistent as they come. Evans has played in all 11 games this season and has 20+ carries and 100+ yards in all of them. Evans toted the rock 24 times for 127 yards (5.2 YPC) and a pair of TDs; he's sitting on 1,491 yards rushing through 11 games. With two or three games yet to be played, barring a major catastrophe, Evans is a virtual lock to break Brian Hill's official* single season rushing record of 1,631 yards set in 2015.

*Note that Hill gained 1,860 yards during the recently-completed 2016 season, but all record books in this dynasty are only updated through 2015.

Next up is the little matter of the de facto Mountain Division Championship game versus Air Force in Colorado Springs.

          2018g12: Wyoming @ Air Force 1st Quarter

OK, so I'm going to break format a little bit here for the Air Force game. I'll be rolling out the video one quarter at a time over the next day or two (so you can get a sense of how the game was trending at certain points) and then I'll do a recap post after the videos for those who don't really want to watch it. I kind of like the idea of doing the video thing once per season.

Some things to remember about the stakes in this game...my Wyoming Cowboys are 9-2 (7-0) and Air Force is 8-3 (6-1) so it's a winner take all for the Mountain Division of the MWC. The winner will get a berth in the MWC championship game. Air Force beat me last season 34-28.

Some gameplay things to consider...I play with custom Heisman difficulty sliders and you will probably notice some standard Heisman cheese. If you play on Heisman, you know what I'm talking about, lol. You can find my settings in the 1st post of this thread if you're curious (I've modified them slightly by lowering my run block to 0, raising the CPU run defense to 100, and boosting the CPU kicking game a bit). I also use a no-switch rule for defense once the ball is snapped--I'm not very good in space so I almost always control a DT.

I also tried my best not to make any detours (I have a habit of pausing it and looking at replays usually but I didn't want to add any more runtime to the video than it really needed). I also didn't button mash through cut scenes (I normally don't anyway). Finally, play art is 'on' so that is automatic when the play art comes up before each of my offensive and defensive plays, FYI.

Without further ado, I present the 1st quarter...

Re: Wyoming | The Reboot (NCAA 14)

I always find it crazy when I see people use 0 for USER run block. I remember in my one dynasty I had an o-line with no one lower than 83ovr and my back won the Doak Walker that year. In the Big 10, if my back could average more than 2-3 yards per carry it was a minor miracle haha so more power to you!

Because I'm curious..what device do you capture to? PC or Mac? I am looking into a capture card as well and am terrified my Macbook Air won't be able to handle it.

We'll see how my settings hold up to stronger opponents. I lost against all the P5 opponents I've faced so far like Iowa, Oregon, and Mizzou.

My setup is an El Gato HD 60S capture card. I ordered it from El Gato through Amazon for ~$175 (before gift cards) after reading about some bad experiences others had with Chinese distributors (via Amazon) and really poor delivery times. In other words, I wouldn't buy one unless it ships domestic with tracking information. I have an XBox 360 and a PC so none of this info is probably useful for you though. I've heard mixed stuff about Macs and PS3--I'm not sure if this capture card would support PS3 or not (I don't remember which system you're on).

                        2018ccg: UNLV @ Wyoming

Coach Craig Bohl accepts his first major piece of hardware as Wyoming Head Football Coach: The 2018 Mountain West Conference Championship Trophy.

LARAMIE, Wyo. -- It would be nice to set the scene here for what turned out to be an epic or, at least, improbable comeback victory. But, it was not to be. Wyoming, one year removed from a 5-7 disappointment of a season, continued their Shermanesque march to the sea...err...the MWC championship game. And then steamrolled UNLV to bag the trophy. The game was anticlimactic and the result never in doubt.

Yea, this Wyoming Cowboy outfit gelled beyond anyone's wildest hopes, as the team laden with upperclassmen took full advantage of a weak schedule and a down year in the conference. Wyoming will enter bowl season with eleven wins against two losses and a gaudy 9-0 confererence mark.

To earn their place as best in conference, Wyoming had to power through UNLV for a second time. The first rendezvous, way back in week four, resulted in a 35-34 squeaker that saw a quartet of Wyoming turnovers keep the Rebels around. In that game, the Rebels went as did their quarterback Armani Rogers; Rogers was responsible for 278 of their 342 yards (81.3%) of total offense. The second meeting would hardly be different as Rogers accounted for 221 of UNLV's 293 yards (75.4%). Not exactly explosive, but consistent in terms of Rogers carrying the offense on his back.

Wyoming's defense bowed their necks in this game, much like how Phil Simms would've liked while providing commentary on a Madden title.

The Pokes held UNLV to 293 yards--the lowest total Wyoming has allowed this season to anyone other than FCS school Wofford. Moreover, it was an ugly and hard-fought 293 yards. UNLV was held far below their average yardage (393.0 YPG, #31) and average scoring (24.8 PPG, #75) outputs. What's more is that UNLV was utterly predictable and ate run blitzes (15 tackles for loss) in 3rd-and-short situations constantly. UNLV failed to adapt in a major way as their 28% (4-14) 3rd down and 0% (0-2) 4th down conversion rates would attest.

Therefore, even though Armani Rogers did some nice things for the Rebels, completing 21/25 (84%) for 168 yards and a TD (153.6 QB rating), it was not close to enough. Poor Lexington Thomas was in and out of the training tent all game before finally succumbing to broken ribs as a result of all the ferocious hits he was taking. The undersized, senior halfback carried 23 times for 74 yards (3.2 YPC) and at one point had ten carries for ten yards before Wyoming's defense began to cheat more against the pass to protect the growing lead.

Wyoming's offense has come a long way this season from savoring 23-22 victories over the likes of Idaho. The Pokes came into this game with the 13th-ranked offense in the country both by yardage (438.1 YPG) and scoring (33.1 PPG), incuding the 6th-ranked rushing offense (255.8 YPG). They continued the ruthless efficiency against UNLV, scoring 38 points and compiling 430 yards of total offense. In a bit of a twist, Wyoming fell below 40 rushes in a game for the only time this season; halfback Nico Evans failed to carry 20 times for the first time as well. Evans still posted an impressive 125 yards on 18 carries (6.9 YPC) and scored a touchdown from 41 yards out.

Senior quarterback Nick Smith continued his steady play. Smith completed 18/29 (62%) for 210 yards and 3 TDs (150.1 QB rating). He found senior tight end Josh Harshman twice for scores. Smith also carried nine times or 42 yards.

The only real blemish on the stat sheet for Wyoming is giveaways. It's hard to imagine that Wyoming is now -7 in turnover margin against UNLV this season and still beat them twice. Reserve running back Emmett Nash fumbled the ball away twice, which led directly to ten UNLV points. But, they needed more help than that as the final score clearly indicates.

So what's next for the ranked, Mountain West Champion Wyoming Cowboys? We'll have to see which bowl game it'll be.

Thanks, bro. I honestly wasn't expecting such a leap from year 1 to year 2. Considering that my entire team was juniors and seniors, the conference didn't have standout teams, and I had a truly lightweight schedule helps it to make sense. It beat my expectations by a lot. Next season should get really interesting trying to replace 90% of my starting lineup.

Thanks for the kind words. I can divulge that I will be taking on Cal in the Las Vegas Bowl. The bowl game was played last night, but before I say any more--I have a lot of 'end of season' info to put together and start posting bit by bit as we transition from 2018 to 2019 in this franchise here. Looks like that offense found a solid balance and no one could stop you once they got going. Excited to see if you can continue turning the corner next season.

Saw that Auburn was #3 but 13-0 after the conference win. Will you have a playoff going? Or using the good ol fashioned BCS?
