Disappointed to see you miss out on Jace but had a feeling he might head somewhere where he could see the field sooner. Even though it is not the flashiest recruiting class, I think it is still very solid. You shore up a lot of holes on the defense, and really set your linebacking corps up to be dominant for years. I think Cromartie will be a stud and James looks like the future under center. As a running game guy, I am also very intrigued by shift JUCO Weaver. So excited to see this next season get under way. Excellent work as always my friend.
PS - Also looking forward to watching the career of Peterson in the Mitten state. Very nice potential story seed you have planted there.A Rising Storm in the North | Cheese's Eastern Michigan Dynasty (NCAA '12)

After a long hiatus from the boards, I was pleased to see this new installment of Coach Geezy! I’m all caught up now, and I’ve gotta tell ya, I’m loving the side story of Carley and Erin competing for the juicier tweets and the alternate narrative: Can Geezy keep his junk in his pants long enough to win the big one? Or will man’s quickest downfall win the day? LMAO!!! But seriously, I’m predicting big strides for this next season! Good luck!My Idaho Dynasty - https://forums.operationsports.com/f...4-dynasty.htmlComment

As for the QB transition; I am hoping to get another mobile QB in the fold either this season or next, because I do have a preference for a guy that can move well and take off if necessary. I dread to see what my sack numbers would look like with a quarterback with 60 speed; that said, I do believe we'll be able to make the necessary adjustments if they're needed, not to mention, I always welcome challenge.

And don't sleep on RB D.J. Weaver. Sure he's only a 71 overall, but that 90 speed/82 agility combo is nothing to scoff at.
I am looking forward to watching Michael Peterson also, but dang I am pissed that we could not land him. Him being Adrian Peterson's nephew would have really been a fun thing to explore. I was even ready to hand him the #28. Oh well; hopefully I can find a way to get him back into the story and do some updates on him down the road (Michigan St. scheduling contract anyone?).

LSU | QB Mason shedding the glove
Mon, 13 Mar 2028 07:11:41 -0700
Jordan Hebert of LSUSports.net reports that LSU senior QB Rob Mason (86 ovr., post-progression) will no longer be sporting a glove on his right, non-throwing hand, in an effort to improve ball security. Mason, who has worn the glove on his right hand since high school, was urged by new Tigers offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Bryce Allen to shed the hand-wear.
"I wore a glove most of my playing career at Tulane," said Allen, who played quarterback under current Tigers head coach D. Geezy with the Green Wave from 2021-2024. "However, Rob was credited with 14 fumbles a year ago, which is an unacceptable number and something we're looking to correct. Aside from not wearing the glove, I think you're going to see a renewed interest in him sliding and going out of bounds on his part moving forward to get those turnover numbers to a more acceptable rate. We are not going to win if we are turning the ball over as much as we did last season, and it all starts with Rob.
"If we are more efficient and smarter with the football, we win 10+ games next year. There is not a doubt in my mind on that."

LSU | Mario Reed moved to FS
Tue, 18 Apr 2028 07:14:07 -0700
Taylor Bisciotti of ESPN's SEC Network reports that LSU senior defender Mario Reed (80 ovr., post-progression) will be moving from the STAR position, which essentially functions as an in-the-box strong safety and slot defender, and is now playing a more traditional deep free safety role in defensive coordinator Charles Kelly's 4-2-5 defense thus far at spring practices. Reed, who towers at a whopping 6-7 200 pounds, will be replacing departed FS Trey Wade, who left school a year early after winning both the Bednarik and Thorpe awards for his play last fall.
Reed finished 2027 third on the team with 66 tackles, and hauled in two interceptions.
Incoming freshman LB Derek Kerr (75 ovr.) and freshman S Jon Walker (74 ovr.) are expected to compete for the STAR position role, per Bisciotti.

Draft | Tulane dominates top of NFL Draft
Thu, 27 Apr 2028 20:09:11 -0700
Dianna Russini reports that Tulane University absolutely stole the show in the early moments of Thursday evening's NFL Draft (yes we know anyone that can use Google can find this out, but we wanted to post the photo of her). Green Wave star quarterback Jimmy McBride (90 ovr.), despite his short 5-11 stature, went first overall to the Cleveland Browns, stunning most analysts due to the wide belief that Texas Heisman winner Joe Jones (93 ovr) would be taken first overall following his magnificent 50 touchdown, 1 interception campaign last fall.
Jones would end up going second overall to the Atlanta Falcons, while Green Wave star LB Sean Williamson (95 ovr.), a former blue chip recruit and #2 overall high school prospect, went third overall to the Las Vegas Raiders.
The loss of McBride is a huge blow for the Green Wave, however redshirt sophomore QB Ryan Tyler (90 ovr., post-progression), the nation's #1 overall high school recruit in the nation back in 2026, is set to take over under center for the Wave this upcoming season.

LSU | Reggie Moore hired as a coaching intern for 2028
Thu, 08 Jun 2028 09:25:17 -0700
Eve Jewell of ESPN/SEC Network, who unsurprisingly somehow got the scoop on this Tulane-LSU crossover news item, reports that LSU has hired former Tulane great and future NFL Hall of Famer Reggie Moore as a coaching intern. The internship is set to begin at the start of LSU's fall practice in August and run through October, with his last game with the team set to be on October 28th, when the team faces Alabama in Baton Rouge.
Moore, a former Heisman Trophy winner with the Green Wave and a two-time NFL MVP during his 10-year career with the Jacksonville-London Jaguars, announced his retirement from the NFL in January. In his role as an intern, the 33-year old Schriever, Louisiana native is expected to assist with the coaching of LSU's running backs and its return units on special teams. The former versatile weapon for current LSU head coach D. Geezy back when the pair were together at Tulane from 2011-2014 finished his collegiate career with 3,004 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns, to go along with 239 receptions for 2,491 yards and 38 touchdowns, as well as 5 total return touchdowns. The pinnacle moment of his career came at the end of the 2016 season, when he hauled in the game-winning 6-yard touchdown reception in the closing seconds of Tulane's 29-26 BCS National Championship Game victory over Penn St.
"Reggie came to me last season during our game versus Tulane when he was there celebrating his 10-year Heisman anniversary and expressed an interest in learning the game from the coaching world," said Geezy. "He admitted he is not getting into this with the thought of becoming a coordinator or head coach some day, but he does want to get into football front office work or land a TV analyst role eventually, and this is a first step for him in him increasing his knowledge of the game."
"I think what he brings to the table is someone that is extremely intelligent, with a strong understanding of the game, and someone that can make an impact for us, specifically in helping our running backs cross-train as receivers, something that we intend to be a new wrinkle for us next year. Between (sophomore) RB Scottie Rodgers (80 ovr., post-progression), and converted receiver, (senior) RB Greg Hearns (77 ovr., post-progression), we think Reggie can help turn these guys into pass-catching dynamos, just like he was in his day."
Editor's Note: As noted in the story, this coaching addition will be all about treating my running backs the way we did Reggie Moore during his time at Tulane. Look for RB Scottie Rodgers and RB Greg Hearn to be major factors out of the backfield this upcoming fall, and also look for them both to get a lot of work out wide and in the slot, especially Rodgers, who has an outstanding 76 route running rating.

Re: Coach Geezy in the Big Easy Part III: Legacy | From Bourbon St. to the Bayou
A Reggie Moore sighting?! I could hardly contain my excitement reading that post. Love love that he is being written back into the storyline. I know that Reggie says he has no coaching aspirations at this time, but gosh would I love to see him become a fulltime face. What a legend.
I like the coaching adjustment. You have some great backs to utilize in the passing game and getting ballers like that the ball in space is always a good thing. I am envisioning a bit of a West Coast (ala Jim Mora Jr.) out of your offense this season. Kind of like what they attempted to do with Vick in Atlanta back in the day.
Love all the organic articles during the offseason. A nice not so subtle nod to the Jimmy McBride/Baker Mayfield parallel. I hope you continue to follow the career of former players in the NFL. Would love to know how Deuce and Ryan Jean are doing as well.

The Michael Vick Falcons offense is a great comparison for what we plan to do under new offensive coordinator Bryce Allen. As he indicated as something important to him back when he committed to Tulane all those years ago as a player, tight end involvement will be a foundational aspect of his offense, in addition to taking advantage of running back matchups out of the backfield versus LBs. I really like how the styles of Allen and Moore mesh with our current personnel - I even play to bring back the "H-Back," which is a tight end/full back hybrid position that we had for several of Allen's playing years at Tulane (redshirt freshman TE Julius Broussard will assume this role).
You and I spoke about this before, but our offensive style will really be a hodge-podge mashup of offenses of old from Geezy's time at Tulane - Throwing to backs out of the backfield like we did with Reggie in the early years, Bryce Allen's love for tight end involvement he mentioned as a recruit in the middle years, and the Ole Miss playbook Geezy had so much success with at Tulane in his final years there.
I appreciate the kind words as always on the articles; I have said it before and I'll say it again - I enjoy the off-season just as much if not more than the season itself. The team-building aspect of the game is ultimately what dynasty mode is all about, so I really enjoy taking my time with that aspect of my projects. As I always state - what's the rush?! I also find fun in putting dates on everything and establishing an actual timeline of events during the off-season; it just makes things feel all the more real that way.
Thanks as always for the great feedback brother!Click here to read my dynasty report:

Yes sir! The season is finally here! I think this may have been the longest off-season I have gone through since the start of this entire dynasty career in terms of real-time (it has already been well over a month since my last game and I still have a few days to go). Needless to say, I am anxious to get back into the game action!
Originally posted by Proof21I have got quite a bit to catch up on (new job has been extremely busy, along with home renovations), but I'm glad to see this is still rolling along!
This is going to be one interesting season as well, that schedule, on paper, is brutal! Really looking forward to that week five game against Tulane as well, that promises to be a good one!
I am honestly surprised I am still at this. When I restarted this dynasty all the way back in July of 2015, I never would have imagined I'd still be playing it to this day; I literally typed up on my Part II Mission Statement that I had hoped to get in three or four seasons on this dynasty revival project, but now I am going into the 10th season of the revival and there is really no end in sight right now.
The schedule is naturally loaded just from being in the SEC; both #3 Alabama and #4 Tulane are going to be incredible matchups, as will the bout versus #8 Florida at the Swamp. Then on top of that, at the time I "signed" those scheduling contracts with Michigan and Texas A&M during last season, I had no idea that the Wolverines would be ranked 5th.
The schedule will be challenging for sure, but I have a quiet confidence about my team heading into this year. I think we're very dangerous and I like what I have planned as far as offensive and defensive schemes. Not to sound like a real life coach, but we have really had some great practice results that I think are going to manifest themselves into game performance.
Ha...now that you point it out, yes they do. I didn't even realize it. They also play #9 West Virginia at the end of the year. However they will not be playing new Big 10 member Notre Dame in the regular season this year, sadly.Click here to read my dynasty report:
