Re: Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense (CFB25)

    2033 Graduating Class

    Major Loss (key starters)

FB / HB Shamir Niswander (85)
It took longer to get going then we thought, but eventually the 3* prized recruit early in our KSU career lives up to the hype. When you factor in his epic senior year with winning the national title and HB of the year then we have to make him the #1 player we have ever coached. He was 726 to 969 yards for 3 years with 14 TD's until the monster 1,855 yards and 24 TD. In total that's 4,411 yards with 38 TD and over 5 per carry. A note on him he didn't get the redshirt year many players get know. A epic player from the Flexbone FB spot and last year the power HB,

    DT Troy Swearinger (89 ovr)
He leaves early and goes in the 2nd round as DE/DT. A big-time athlete 92 acceleration, 87 agility and 84 speed at 280 pounds with 91 strength. When you add in 99 awareness and 91 finesse move it made up for not being elite in all areas. He finishes his 3 year career with 105 tackles, 46 TFL and 24 sacks. He also makes the top 5 DL list and top 25 players.

    C Markus Gastineau (89 ovr)
A 3-year starter that went in the 3rd round of the draft after skipping his senior year. Why he decided to leave was he had maxed out from a potential standpoint. A power run blocker so he was our style of OL and started at both OG/C. A heck of a career for a 2* normal recruit

    S Tyler Baskerville (86)
A 2-year starter that was more productive than he should have been and officially won the DB of the year twice. Though they are controversy over the last one (changed after i won the title). His 94-zone coverage and 90 catch was his strength and why he played over more athletically gifted players. He finishes his career 237 tackles, 11 TFL, 4 sacks, 9 interceptions and 9 PBU. He makes our top 5 best DB list and top 25 players

FB / TE Donald Pitts (77)
He goes down as the #2 blocking FB/ TE we have had since he didn't start as long. He was a better blocker then Rudy after a surge in later years so that's why he moved to TE his senior year. He had 95 run blocking and 84 lead blocking. He had just 7 carries in 4 years before the move to TE where he was better than expected receiving with 25 catches and 281 yards. His blocking from the TE spot was huge.

    FB Rudy Mekari (88 ovr)
The secret ingredient the last few years a blocking specialist that paved the way for so many of those yards by Niswander and Clare. He had 94 run blocking and 91 lead blocking, and we are tickled he got drafted in the 6th round. He did manage 300 Carrer rushing yards mostly on like 2nd and 2 plays and He goes down as the best blocking FB/TE we have had

Mild Loss (Key backups or role players)

    LB Tommy Gage (87 ovr)
We decided to put Tommy here as he was only a 1-year starter. A pass coverage LB with 90ish speed, 90 tackle, 91 play rec, 96 finesse move and 87 zone coverage. A big-time year lead the team in tackles and pass breakups. We have other speedy LB we think can put up similar stats so that's why he isn't in the top tier.

    HB Kenya Phenix (81)
He was officially the #1 HB the last 2 years despite Godchaux having the much higher rating this year. A power back with mid 80's in that with 98 carry and ball carry vision. His speed was only 86, but 88 acceleration and agility. He didn't really play until the last two years and was over 800 yards each season. His role next year will go to less of a power back.

    DE Tracey Sylvan (79)
He would have been much higher on the list if it wasn't for his caped ceiling (24 unused points). A rotation player for all 4 years and had a big sophomore season with 7.5 sacks and 16 TFL.

    LB Josh Forsett (87 ovr)
Josh was never a full time starter, but provided depth and easily could have been. He has 24 tackles and 2 sacks this year and was a power rusher with 90ish speed despite being 219 pounds.

Small to No Impact (didn't play)

    WR Sal Tercero (69)

    P Miles Kasa (78)

    QB Coco Dell (72)

    HB Parker Toone (77)

    FB Mike Gentry (74)

    CB Tyler Rambo (74)

    WR Parker Childress (74)
