    Key Offense Recruits

    QB Amari Kern
    We are thankful this 3* had us in the top 5 being a local guy even if he has just normal development. We love his hall of fame (purple) road dog badge and could be the #2 QB depending on development on Juan Corp this fall. The 6'2 scrambler isn't a burner just 78 speed, but 86 acceleration. He has a big arm 89 strength and mid 70's accuracy.

    HB Nathan Rachel
    Nathan is going to be absolute star in this offense and about the highest rated guy we are allowed to recruit at #622. A 234 pound powerback with hall of fame (purple) road dog badge and impact development. When you get a power back 82 strength, 83 carry, 81 break tackle, 79 truck and then throw in 91 speed and 89 acceleration we get excited. We will have to check the legal paperwork on if we get a head coaching job he is allowed to go with us.

    FB Glenn Gore
    We have gotten super luck 2 years in a row scouting FB's and finding gems on the first tape we watched. This time Glenn's is star so the only one we have had in 2 years. The 3* is a blocker and has 80 lead block already with mid 70's in a lot of categories. Army is absolute loaded at FB so he will be #5 with the top 2 graduating this year. We are anxious to see what his upside is

    B back / FB Devante Bradbury
    He is officially a FB and would have made a killer OLB with his speed at 225 pounds. His 90 speed and 80 strength means he will mostly be the FB spot in the flexbone. We aren't expecting him to be a great blocker so could play the back up the power HB spot, but not this year. His agility at 79 is noteworthy as being lower then his speed.

    WR Wes Mcdaniels
    We lost out on the battle to keep the jumbo athletes at OL, so we win this one and keep Wes off the DL. He was projected at TE, but will make the move to WR. We are deep at the position so he will not be needed this year. He fits what we want at WR 6'4 244 with blocking ability and good enough speed (83)

    OT Sam Ojomo
    Sam is going to do everything he can to make his case to play as a true freshman with impact development and a 3*. His 87 strength, mid to high 70s for power blocking and 81 impact block along with 2 mental abilities. If he starts and at what position will hinge on the development of last years huge OL class.

    OG George Nienhuis
    A 320 pound OG with 87 strength and 71 run block power. We went heavy on OL last year that will get the offseason training boost so he likely doesn't play this year

    C Johnny Maples
    Sometimes you get luck and we did with Johnny a average looking 2* recruit. We liked the 85 strength so offer him and he came with impact development. We got lucky and star C Brady Small came back so that combined with his development meant we could play our jumbo athlete at DT. This allows us to fix 2 positions at once time. Since we specialize in offseason training, he (ot last years signee) should jump up next offseason before he is needed to start

    DL
    We sign 4 DL as we needed depth so a few of these will play. We are the most excited about our jumbo athletes playing DL. Parker Slater is 308 pounds with 89 strength and a finesse move in the 80's. He is projected to start next year

    LB
    We also need LB and get 4 the two MLB bring some much needed speed to the position. Josh Browning could move to DE in the future as he is a power rusher, but just 228 pounds. We didn't know where to play Rhett Baker just 6'0 and 218 pounds with 90 acceleration and strength.

    DB
    We also needed DB and all 5 could see the field at some point this year. Jesus Guillermo is the one with a dev trait and S is easily our weakest position as of now. We like the CB group as well Mangum is fast (91) and can play man while Reis is 6'2 with speed and Kane has a dev trait and a slot guy.

      42Glenn Gore (67 ovr)FB5'11225Fr.New Jersey
      14Devante Bradbury (56 ovr)FB5'9225Fr.California

      Looking back to last year's Team Noah Short was the star of the group mostly in the 2nd half of the year. He broke Napier's rushing record with just under 1,300 yards with 9 TD's. He was mostly a speed guy and the inside runs was for other backs. Thats why you still saw Keyes 586 yards and 8 TD's, Udoh 613 yards and 7 TD and Hocker/ Hayden Reed combining for 250 yards and the QB with 400 despite all the sacks.

      We want to first want to breakdown the types of roles for all our RB's and the ones we know. The FB group will pretty much be the same Udoh and Rendina are both seniors and shine in their roles. Pat Skool is a upside blocking FB that we got to get on the field.

      #1 HB = ?(preferably a power back)
      #2 HB = ? (prob will make this the speed guy to simplify subs)
      Blocking FB = Jake Rendina
      Rushing FB = Kayne Udoh
      Power HB = Udoh (as listed on depth chart, iform /heavy formations
      Outside / speed HB = ? (pistol formations/ stretch plays etc)

      The plan was move Keyes/ Hocker up a notch then find a speed HB to join the mix. Then Nathan Rachel came into camp drawing Adrian Peterson comparisons and some upper classmen improved. While the young power backs last year didn't take huge jumps up. Let's look at the ratings progression which we do specialize in for these positions

      Scheffler +14
      Howard +12 (includes position change bump)
      Hocker +6
      Hajrullah +6
      Embree +5
      Keyes +5

      Top Skills
      Fastest = Scheffler 92
      Acceleration = Howard 92
      Agility = Embree 97
      Change Of Direction = Embree 95
      Strength = Keyes & Rachel 82
      Ball Carry Vision = Hocker 85
      Break Tackle = Hocker 89
      Trucking = Keyes 87
      Catching = Howard
      Potential = Rachel

      Embree (76 ovr)
      While his speed is just 86 he makes up for that with 97 agility, 95 change of direction, 90 acceleration make him a good fit for the outside runs

      Howard (75 ovr)
      We saw the success moving Short from WR so thought we would do it again with another senior. He wasn't going to play at WR as he is just 5'7. His 4 speeds ratings are all around 90 and does have the carrying. He does have a lot of upside, but its late in the game to cash that in. His calling card is catching by far the best of the bunch. He could be put in when trailing

      Scheffler (74 ovr)
      After a massive jump up prob gets the 1st crack at the speed HB role with 92 speed and 93 agility. Despite being a sophomore not a ton of upside so likely doesn't get past the 70's

      Hocker (73 ovr)
      He only averaged 2.9 a carry last year, but still has in game experience and has improved. The thing people will point out about him is he has the highest break tackle on the team while having speed (89). He is also pretty much maxed out when it comes to what matters. A nice blend of size and speed for the power HB role.

      Keyes (72 ovr)
      We are partial to Keys the only 3* we signed in our first class at Army. However isn't the fastest (just 86) or the best breaking tackle when you compare him to Hocker. However he does have the best trucking on the roster. His mid 80's for a power back on all 4 speed topped off with 88 acceleration for Army is just fine. He does have the production rushed for 4.6 per carry last year with 8 TD's and has improved. Outside of some IQ is close to maxed out.

      Hajrullah (68 ovr)
      He is lowest on the list so will only play in blowouts or injuries. He is another power back with 87 speed. He could move to FB next year.

      Rachel (68 ovr)
      We can't view his player card just yet, but once we see that it may be as simple as make him the man. The 234 pound power back has a dev trait and starts off with 91 speed, 89 acceleration, 82 strength, 79 trucking. We will prob bring him give him a few carries in week 1 and see how things go. The negative against him would be the 83 agility and 79 change of direction not matching the straight line speed. With his dev trait and assumed upside that rating can go up fast.

          2025 Season Preview

          QB
          At this stage we don't expect the QB to be the star of the offense more of a game manager. Bolden is the clear cut starter for his senior year despite a meh year starting last year. He isn't much of a thrower (86 power 70's accuracy) and just ok straight-line speed (81). He is much better than he was last year so we expect his stats to improve. He does have excellent agility (93) and change of direction (89). All everyone is talking about is the true freshman Amari Kern who has won the backup job. He is without a doubt the future of the position, so we want him to play a little in every game this year. A strong arm (89) with mobility while having mental and physical abilities means he should be good enough to play this year. What sets him apart is the upside he is has upside in every important category with room to grow in power, elusiveness, accuracy and quickness

          WR
          A good coach will adapt his scheme to his players and while David Clerk (76 ovr) isn't a blocker he is too talented to not be our #1 WR. His blazing 4.3 speed (99) makes him a valuable weapon that will get the ball in a number of different ways. Despite a 99 ranking as a return guy he will only play that role in big games since the last 2 years the KR has got hurt. Matt Overbaugh (67 ovr) a 6'3 physical WR that can jump and block was expected to be #2. However, he got moved down as Juan Bautista (58 ovr) a former projected TE will start. Juan is a similar blocker, but greatly improved his speed (92) over the offseason. Juan is also by far the strongest WR on the team. We have depth at the position if someone gets hurt and senior Kevin Pointer another block would be next man up.

          TE
          The TE spot is the weakest again on the roster. We returned a lot of bodies. Mohammed Strong(64 ovr) returns as the #1 and he is just a blocker. His bad hands and slow speed (69) does hurt at times. But he still has some upside as a blocker so gets the start. The #2 guy will be a new name despite being a senior Parker Poloskey (63 ovr) is the best blocker on the team so gets the #2 job. Don't expect to hear much from this group on gameday.

          OT
          This group is where the #1 focus has been since we took over and we finally will see that hard work pay off this year. The OL will be worlds better then the previous year with 3 starters returning. C Brady Small (92 ovr) is back for year #4 starter and is stud and maybe even a 1st round pick. He is actually easily the best C in the game rating wise. The two high upside freshman we threw to the wolves last year are back starting on the left side. Joel Godfrey (79 ovr) and Taylor Romero (73 ovr) will only get better. Carl Vaughn (75 ovr) gets the start at RG despite others being better on paper. Carl gets the start because his run blocking skills and 6'6 321 pound size. We had a lot of options at RT and go with Sophomore Austin Baugher (77 ovr). He not only comes with a high rating he has lot of room for improvement in run blocking. We aren't going to over any backups but we are comfortable starting anyone in our 2nd unit

            I'm super excited to use Kern and see how develops. He is a example of the fun challenge not being able to redshirt with Army. That hall of fame road dog badge is key and one reason why I went for him. As you can see from the pic above if he can max out his potential, he will be dangerous. But none of the coaches have the QB training skill so it may not happen

              They projected 4th in ACC with tied for 4th best roster. This is a new group on offense and big questions all over especially at QB where William Watson (77 ovr) starts. It's sophmore Tyler Mason getting the start at HB. It's solid group of veteran WR's who will be new lead by Chance Fitzgerald. On defense Its OLB Gabe Williams (86 ovr), DE Jason Abbey (85 ovr) and FS Noah Jenkins

                Opening Night - Week 0

                Which HB steps up ?

                Editors note - I know nobody wants to watch me play the game. So I included 2 key plays on this so just 20 seconds total.

                Army has a good drive going to start the year then old habits came out and a bad pitch was a turnover. A little before half its 4th and goal at the 1 and Tony Keyes barley gets into the endzone to make it 7-3. The 4.3 40 David Clerk lines up at wildcat and goes 61 yards untouched for a huge TD. Then the biggest story of the night happened with us up 24 to 9 with 6 minutes remaining. Before that Hocker top toed for a TD down the sidelines. Jose Harris gets a sack which ties our season total from last year which was a pathetic one. Fellow sophomore Monty Knight a 1* recruit also got a sack next drive. They end up scoring on the last play of the game to make it look closer then it was.

                We first have to talk about our blocking FB Jake Rendina who had 11 pancake blocks. The power back Keyes who got the start and stud freshman Rachel both struggled rushing. It was Hocker who played the best so he will now start next game. We also have to point out our stud C Brady Small with 16 pancake blocks. We took advantage of him with Udoh up the middle a lot tonight. We shifted a the carries up pretty good since it was week 1. Overall a solid win and the OL as expected looks much better.

                  Run Game Goes Off

                  The senior FB Udoh having a bit of a Bounce back year and gets in with an impressive TD run. Army is up 14 to 3 at half and adds a FG in the 3rd. The teams swap a pair of TD’s in the 4th with the highlight for Army’s being a 46 yard run by the backup speed HB. Army wins comfortably 31 to 17.

                  The buzz has officially started on what was expected to be the break through season for Napier. A amazing 489 yards off offense vs the bad temple team lead by 382 on the ground. The HB’s split carried again but the senior FB was the man tonight. The defense suffered some injuries but are finally getting some sacks

                    Army Wins Two More

                    Army has taken care of Business with 2 more conference wins beating Rice 21 to 14 and Tulsa 28 to 14. This improves Army to 4 and 0 with 2 of the next 3 weeks being bye weeks.

                    Rice was a ugly one as Army was hot in the 1st half up 21 to 0 and then faulted in the 2nd half with 0 while they had 14. It was just 314 yards of offense with -2 in turnovers. No standouts in the rushing with the top being the QB's 58 yards and just 4 yards per carry. It was the speedy WR David Clerk who saved the team with 2 TD's from the wildcat. We finally have a legit pass rusher as Josh Boyett (77 ovr) gets 1.5 sacks. Brady Small the best C in the game showed why 18 pancake blocks and 0 sacks allowed.

                    The run game was back to going off vs Tulsa one of the better teams in the conference. A high for Napier 393 rushing yards on 7.2 per carry and +1 in turnovers. Bolden at QB played well close to 100 passing yards and 57 on the ground. It was the senior Embree's time to shine with 132 yards and 2 TD's on just 7 carries. Napier has found something with this Pistol Train set where both TE's are on the same side. It was again a balanced effort after that with 3 more people between 45 and 63 yards. Clerk has another TD from the wildcat. The true freshman added a 44 yard catch. It's now a bye week and Army very much needs one. We must point on LT Joel Godfrey 14 pancake blocks and 0 sacks allowed.

                    Editor's Note - I got confused on my video clips so I hope these are the correct ones. I've made a change to fix ir going forward

                      Can Army Make The Playoffs ?

                      We said during preseason this was going to be Army's year after back to back 7 win seasons. The team skill level was way behind everyone last year and now it's on par. More Importantly Napier now has his system fully installed with the types of players he wants running it. It's also a easy schedule (cpu picked it) with very winnable non-conference games.

                      The OL is especially carrying this team with an average rating of 80 overall since 4 of the 5 are Sophomore that will only improve. When staring RT Austin Baugher got hurt Sam Ojomo stepped up and gained valuable experience for the true freshman with sky high potential. The Defense got 1 sack all of last year and in 4 games has 6 sacks this year. This is despite several injuries to rotation players on the DL.

                      It's now all sunshine and rainbows as we know one small school team will make the playoffs. Army still isn't ranked while Minnesota State is ranked 16th and East Carolino 19th. Since Minnesota State is the defending national champs and a 4* school they will get the benefit of the doubt if the records are close. One loss from Army and that could be enough to knock them out of the playoffs. When asked Napier said " We are just taking it one game at a time. I told our offense the biggest thing standing in the way of us going undefeated is turnovers. We can't have bad pitches on the option.

                        UAB Week 6

                        Can Army Escape ?

                        Army goes on the road to UAB a slightly better team. Army goes 3 and out on the first drive and got absolutely nothing going and right away its like uh oh this is going to be one of those games. Napier said after the game “ I knew we had to shake things up after the first drive. Because they loaded the box and seemed like they blitzed a lot. Our best bet was to break tendency and hope not to turn the ball over”

                        The 2nd drive was a sack and interception thankfully UAB just got 3 points. The 3rd drive yet another 3 and out and terrible 27 yard punt and UAB was dominating up 10 to 0. The 4th drive another interception giving UAB the ball at the 10. Thankfully a Pass Interference saved Army and would lead to a long drive. It was 3rd and goal and the mixing it up worked this time as we find the backup TE for a wide open TD. On the next Army drive Bolden throws another interception, but a missed FG saves Army. It was the end of the half with only a few seconds to go and #2 WR Juan Bautista makes the catch of the year barely getting his feet in the back of the endzone. Somehow Army had the lead at half 14 to 10.

                        The UAB line had been a pain all game line and comes up huge with a 4th and 1 stop around midfield. Army hanging on to a 4 point lead in the late 3rd. A long drive and the #3 FB catches a pass off a playaction on 4th and 3 to extend the drive with 10 minutes to go. Power back Keyes caps off a 92 yards drive with a short TD. This puts Army up 11 and they can take a deep breath.

                        Then bad stuff started happening a 3rd interception by Army on 3rd and long when it should have just been a run and punt. After hitting a FG to cut the lead to 8 Army was backed up inside the wrong 10. A bad pitch and the ball goes into the endzone for a Safety to cut the lead 21 to 15 with 5 minutes to go. Remember those 2 points.

                        UAB would go on a long drive killing 4 of 5 minutes and scoring a TD and missing the 2 point play. Army had blown the lead in the 4th down 1 point with just 1:18 to go. A key thing here Is Army has a true Freshman Kicker so his range tops out at about 40 yards and it needs to be in the middle of the field

                        The first two plays huge gains on options to get it to mid field. So just about 20-30 more yards to escape. However, It was now 3 & 14 and bad pitch makes is a 20 yard loss and somehow now 4th and 35. Army is sacked on the next play and Army gives this one away.

                          Coastal Carolina Week 7

                          Back on Track vs 5-1 Coastal Carolina ?

                          Keyes scores a TD on a run and its 13 to 6 at halftime. Army is playing great 0 turnovers and 7.3 yards per carry. Keyes gets his 2nd TD of the game and its 20 to 3 and Army is responding big time to the giveaway loss last week. Rachel has the run of the year to make it 20 to 9. Rachel the true freshman may just be #1 HB after this game. Arny wins to go 5 and 1 after a big time ground game 341 yards.

                            Army 10 Stories To Watch

                            Likely Napier's last year at Army
                            This was the expectation all along and with a 5-1 record and a pretty easy schedule ahead it should be a 10-win regular season. It's not a lock he will leave, but he is hopefully to get a good head coaching job at a smaller conference like the Conference USA

                            Domination in Rushing Yards
                            1,853 team rushing yards and the 2nd team is 1,040

                            Is Nathan Rachel HB #1 ?
                            He leads the team with 393 rushing yards and the most potential on the team. The 3* gem true freshman as lived up to expectations with 5.9 per carry on 67 carries. The other power HB's are over 4 yards a carry so are also worthy of getting carries

                            Should the speed HB's get more carries ?
                            Going along with the above you might just say yes give him the bulk of the carries. However senior Omari Embree (76 ovr) on 24 carries is getting 10.5 yards per carry then sophomore Greg Scheffler on just 6 carries is at 13 per carry. David Clerk (77 ovr) the 4.3 speed in the wildcat on 16 carries is getting 12.9 per carry plus 4 TD's. So that's why Rachel is having to split the carries. The Piston train formation is the cause of a lot of this.

                            Stud Freshman OT Ojomo back to bench
                            He filled in for a few games after a injury and didn't progress just yet. So with a OL fully healthy for now the former 3* gem will be the #1 backup in the OL

                            We are getting sacks
                            Just 1 sack last year its finally at 8 which is 9th in the conference. While just over the offense its nice to see players he brought in on defense playing well.

                            Still no passing game
                            Bolden % is better at 65%, but just 401 passing yards will only be slightly better then last year. His TD:INT ratio still needs work with 2 to 4.

                            Brady Small is a 1st round pick
                            Brady (92 ovr)is the highest rated C in the game and playing out of his mind. He should be a 1st round pick. He isn't quite maxed out yet either

                            Playoffs Basically zero chance
                            Army still isn't ranked and Minnesota State is in the top 10. All signs point to them getting the auto big unless they lose 2 more games. East Carolina is all ranked, but we play them

                            Rivalry Games Huge
                            Napier has these two down as must win and thinks if he does it will be massive for the future and his development of this offense (needed for coaching skill tree and I'm sitting on 30 points

                            American Conference is wide open
                            Army does have the official edge at 3-1. They are 8 other teams with 1 conference loss so a lot of scoreboard watching the next month and those teams are UTSA, Navy, UAB, USF, Charlotte, East Carolina, Memphis and Rice. The only team with 3 loses is Florida Atlantic

                              Army Suffers 2nd Loss

                              Army has suffered its 2nd loss of the season this time to North Texas 21 to 12. It was a ugly game on offense just 210 yards of offense and 97 rushing yards.

                              The next game was the opposite the best of the year a 31-to-9-win vs Memphis on the road. Army rolled up 299 rushing yards with 4 guys between 44 and 78. If it wasn't for -3 in turnovers and 7 flags for 56-yard Army may have gotten 50 points. Props to the defense giving up 9 points and getting 4 sacks

                                Army's Powerbone Offense Officially Arrives

                                This was a must win game mostly because the strategy (skill tree) involved with beating a rival. The first play of the game was one of the guys sharing the speed back role Scheffler going for 44 yards on the ground. Sophomore powerback Tony Keyes got the start at HB and scores a short TD. The head coach (cpu) decides to go for 2 and gets it. Bolden found #2 WR Juan Bautista for what should have been a TD instead he gets tackled at the 1 after going toward the defender. FB Udoh punches it in for the score and its 15 to 0. The 3rd TD was a rare passing one finding a HB out of the wishbone and Army is finally rolling someone up 22 to 3. Our $ play the power option from Pistol train works for a 28 yard TD the 2nd from Keyes. Freshman Rachel has been in the dog house lately scores a TD in the early 4th. The play of the night came in the final minute the #6 HB John Hajrullah gets one of his first carries of the year. He runs through the defender for a TD and Army has the biggest win in 3 years 45 to 20
