    MIDSEASON RECRUITING UPDATE

Well Boise State has found some success early this season with a 4-2 start on the field, 1st year Head Coach Spencer Danielson and 1st Year OC Ryne Scott have found the instability at the coaching positions as a challenge in landing future recruits..

Listed as just a 2 1/2* Prestige School (way to low in my opinion), BSU has build a strong tradition in winning and have always had success in finding 3* talent to play's up to 5* abilities and Coach D and Scott are finding out that early on that will continue to be the tradiation here in Boise.

With 20 departing Seniors including 3 of their Top 4 WR's, Coach Scott knew he would need to find some talent, but so far he has signed just 1 WR to this year's class.

3* Terron Sermon is a 6'3 205lb Physical player out of Stratford WI, with a solid mix of skills (91 SPD, 86 ACC and 79 CIT).

Malachi Nelson has so far proven in 6 games that he is the Broncos starting QB. Reports so far is Maddux Madsen however isn't quite ready to just give up on his BSU career, but just in case, Coach D and Scott thought it would be prudent to land a QB for the 2024 class and they found a good one.

3* Kenan Cox from Murrieta CA.. Scouts believe this kid could be a "Gem" in this years class. Listed at 6'1 185lbs Cox has the ability to make plays with both this arm (89 THP) and his feet (82 SPD, 86 ACC).

Having a FB/TE hybrid player has always been a position of need for the Broncos. Several have gone on to have NFL careers like Jeb Putzier and Richie Brockel.

3* Athlete Kolby Malik hopes to follow in their footsteps. Listed at 6'3 250lbs from Eagle Idaho, Malik has the size and skills to play either spot (74 CIT, 74 CAT, 58 Run Block, 50 Pass Block)

Playing RB at Boise State has paved the way for many players to a NFL career and current starter Aston Jeanty (2nd Round Buzz) will be the next. With Jeanty unsure if he will return for a Senior season and backup RB Jambres Dunbar rumored to be looking at the transfer portal (highest risk on the team) RB all of a sudden became a need spot for the 2024 class and Coach Scott is hoping he found a good one.

3* Angelo Upshaw has been said to be a "Gem" by several scouts and at 5'9 231 lbs has the size to potentially see the field as a true freshman. Scouts give the Orange CA native ratings of (82 carry, 81 trucking, 91 speed, 89 acceleration and 81 agility).

Rounding out the First of 5 players to sign at BSU is 3* LT Pat Witzman. The 6'7 292lb El Dorado Arkansas native will need to work on his blocking schemes (71 pass, 71 run, 74 impact) but has the size to potentially be a starter one day.

With just 5 recruitas signed BSU current class has a rating of 72.45 PTS and is ranked #11 in the MWC (only beating New Mexico who has signed 21 1* recruits) and is ranked #117 nationally.

      WEEK 9 RECAP

      OPPONENT PREVIEW

Boise State and UNLV started their rivalry back in 1972 with the 2 schools meeting 6 straight years splitting the series 3-3, before taking a break from each other and not facing one another until 2011. Since then BSU has owned the Rebels winning 9 straight including a 44-20 victory last season.

      GAME RECAP

Despite BSU having shown dominance over UNLV the past 9 years, these teams came in pretty evenly matched and with similar records and it showed.

Tied (7-7) at the end of the 1st Quarter the score remained the same until UNLV added another touchdown with less then a minute to play in the half as the home team takes a (14-7) lead into the half over the Broncos.

BSU opened the 2nd half with a touchdown on the opening drive but UNLV would retake the lead with a 38 yd FG late in the 3rd Quarter making it (17-14) as we enter the 4th.

With BSU's Ashton Jeanty on the sideline with what intial reports was calling a dislocated shoulder and backup RB Jambres Dunbar also out of action, the Broncos play out of the shotgun with 4 and 5 WR set's most of the 4th Quarter and it worked as the UNVL secondary couldn't stop BSU's Malachi Nelson who threw his 3rd and 4th TD's of the day to give BSU the (28-17) lead with less then 2 minutes to play.

UNLV however would manage a late score but a failed onside kick attempt left Nelson with the ability to just kneel out the clock as BSU picks up the much needed road win coming off their bye week.

      FINAL SCORE BSU-28 UNLV-24

        WEEK 10 RECAP

        OPPONENT PREVIEW

When it comes to a meeting between Boise State and San Diego State on picking a winner, it's basically a coin clip. The 2 schools have met 9 times since 2011. BSU one the first matchup, then SDSU won the next 2, then BSU won 2 in a row before SDSU won 2 more and now BSU is back on a 2 game winning streak. The odds would actually lean toward SDSU winning tonight and if you only tuned in for 3 Quarters it sure looked like they were going too.

        GAME RECAP

San Diego State jumped out to a early (7-0) lead followed by a pair of FG's by both teams to make it (10-3) at the half as a BSU scoring drive is halted with a Nelson INT in the endzone.

The Aztecs would extend their lead to (17-3) early in the 2nd and then fan's were given either a great display of defense or a horrible display of offense as both teams combined to punt 6 times until BSU settled for a 38 yd FG to make it (17-6) at the half.

The Broncos continued to struggle putting together drives that resulted in points well San Diego State extended their lead with yet another score to make it (24-6) going into the 4th.

But for BSU the 4th Quarter was what all Bronco fan's and Coach Scott were wating for. The offense started clicking as Nelson throws 3 TD's to give BSU the (25-24) lead with just under 3 minutes to play. SDSU had a chance to retake the lead but missed a 49 yd FG and with 31 seconds to play BSU would add their 4th score of the quarter as Jambres Dunbar takes it in from 6 yds out as BSU kicks to the XPT after 2 early failed 2pt conversion attempts giving them a 8 point lead and the victory.

        FINAL SCORE BSU-32 SDSU-24

        KEY PLAYERS

Happy to have a Deuce dynasty on the boards again! Looks like Coach Scott's offense has been pretty good so far - having someone as talented as Malachi Nelson helps, of course. What kind of playbook are you using?

It's good to be back and well that there are some things I will miss from NCAA14, I am happy to have a game on the new gen consoles.

I use the Boise State playbook as a base, but add in some more plays and custom it more to my liking. I have typically always ran a 4-2-5 Defense cause that is what BSU uses, but I take over a team as a HC I might try mixing it up and creating a custom playbook there too. Not sure yet.

              WEEK 11 UPDATE

              OPPONENT PREVIEW

The Boise State vs Nevada rivalry dates back to 1971. The Broncos and Wolfpack were rivals in the Big Sky, the WAC and now the MWC. BSU has traditionally been favorites in the matchup's over the years winning 31 out of 44 meetings, but Nevada did manage to win 3 years in a row (1996-1998) averaging over 55 points a game against the Broncos and are most famous for upsetting the Broncos in 2010 in OT ruining Boise State's perfect season and a chance at a spot in the National Title game. Would today another chance at a upset?

              GAME RECAP

Boise State dominated the 1st Quarter jumping out to a early (14-0) lead and extended the lead to (28-7) at the half behind 4 TD's from USC transfer 5* Malachi Nelson.

Nevada however owend the 3rd Quarter picking off Nelson once and holding the Broncos out of the endzone as they score twice to make it (28-21) as we head to the 4th.

BSU would extend their lead early as Nelson throws his 5th TD of the day to make it (35-21) but the Wolpack battle back scoring on back to back series to tie the game (35-35) with 42 seconds to play in regulation. A Jonah Delmas missed 46 yd FG would send this game into Overtime.

This would mark the Broncos 3rd Overtime game of the season, both other games (Oregon/Utah State) resulting in loss's.

BSU would win the toss and elect to play defense. Nevada quickly scored make it (42-35) but Nelson would guide the Broncos down to the 5 yd line before throwing his 6th TD of the day to RB A Jeanty out of the backfield to tie the game (42-42).

RS Freshman WR Nate Burleson II following in the footsteps of his father comes up with a huge play grabbing the 25 yd TD as Nevada wastes little time adding another score making it (49-42) but Nelson wasn't going to be denied this time as Nelson breaks the Boise State Record held since 1974 by Jim McMillian with his 7th TD of the game.

Faced with a decision of a 3rd OT period and a automatic 2PT conversion attempt, Boise State OC Ryne Scott sent out the offense early as the Broncos looked to win it now against a gassed Wolfpack Defense. The decision paid off as Jeanty walks in the 2pt score for the victory....

              FINAL SCORE BOISE STATE-50 NEVADA-49

              KEY PLAYERS

              QB M. Nelson 30/37 (81%) 421 yds 7 TD (new school record) 1 INT, 7 carries 44 yds
              RB A. Jeanty-9 carries 57 yds , 2 rec 16 yds 1 TD

              WR J. Smith-7 rec 93 yds 1 TD
              WR N. Burleson II-2 rec 37 yds 2 TD

With the win BSU moves to 9-2 on the season and 4-1 in MWC play with 3 gams left to play including at Week 14 vs Oregon State.

                NELSON MAKING HISTORY

When Boise State landed former USC Trojan 5* and former #1 QB in the country Malachi Nelson, Bronco fan's wondered. Just how good would this kid be.

Well after a 7 TD performance against Nevada, Nelson's name is already in the BSU record books and his 33 TD's on the season ties him 5th with Jim McMillian for 5th in a single season and with potentially 4 games to play many think the great Kellen Moore's 43 in 2011 is within sights.

Coach Scott "Malachi is having a great season and nothing to take away from Kellen but I think we could see potentially a 50 TD season from this kid. We got 3 games to play plus potentially a MWC title game plus the playoffs.

Moore's TD record in a single season isn't the only BSU record that Nelson has his sights on. Currently with 2795 yds, Nelson avg (302 yds per game) could very well also challenge Ryan Dinwiddie's 4356 yds thrown in 2003 and would have a solid start at Moore's career #'s of 14,667 yds and 142 TD's

                  WEEK 12 RECAP

                  OPPONENT PREVIEW

Boise State and San Jose State have met 16 times ****** back to 1978 with the Broncos winning 15 of the 16 matchups. The Spartans lone victory game in 2020 when the Spartans beat the Broncos in the Mountain West Title game giving San Jose their 1st ever Conference Title sadly in a closed door contest with no fans in attendance due to Covid regulations.

                  GAME RECAP

BSU opened the game recording a Safety and then scoring a TD early in the 1st Quarter to take a (9-0) lead, but San Jose answered back with a score on their 2nd series to make it (9-7) at the end of the 1st Quarter.

A 33 yd FG by Kylder Halvorsen with 13 seconds to play in the half would give the Spartans the (17-16) going into the locker room. A Johan Delmas FG late in the 3rd would give BSU the lead back (19-17) and a early 4th Quarter TD by Nelson made it (26-17) as this game appeared to be over. But the Spartans were not going down without a fight as Halvorseen would go on to kick 3 more FG's in the game after the Spartan Defense comes up huge as San Jose ties the game (26-26) to force yet back to back Overtime games for the Broncos.

The Spartans would win the toss and elect to go start on Defense. BSU would quickly score as Nelson throws TD #4 on the day but the Spartan Offense manages to convert on a 4th down before scoring their own TD to tie the game yet again (33-33).

BSU for a 2nd week in a row make a huge call after scoring their 2nd TD in the OT period with a Aston Jeanty 12 yd run, Coach D and Scott draw up another 2 pt conversion play to perfection as Nelson finds 6'5 Prince Strachan for the score to make it (41-33).

The Bronco D then stepped up stopping the Spartans short of the endzone as BSU moves to 8-2 and one step closer to a spot in the MWC title game at (5-1) and a 3 way tie with Fresno State and New Mexico with 1 loss in MWC play.

                    WEEK 13 RECAP

                    OPPONENT PREVIEW

Similar to the San Jose State history, the BSU vs Wyoming matchups since 2002 have been very 1 sided with the Broncos winning 17/18 of the schools games. Wyoming's only victory came in 2016 in Laramie (30-28) led by none other then current Buffalo Bill's QB Josh Allen.

                    GAME RECAP

The Cowboys knew that their only hope for a victory was to slow down the Broncos new star QB in Malachi Nelson and they did a pretty good job of it in the 1st half but the Broncos adjusted and went to the ground game with the duo of Aston Jeanty and Jambre Dubar as they rush for 86 yds and 2 TD's to help BSU take a (14-6) lead at the half.

With Nelson having a record breaking season with the help of a very talented receiving core, Jeanty has sorta got lost in the game plan after a almost 200 yd performance in Week 1 vs Georgia Southern.

                    Coach Scott
"Without wanting to give our opponents any advantage, we have kept the injury report on a pretty short leash and inhouse, so alot of people don't know Aston has been dealing with some things this season but we have been able to keep him in games and available when we needed him"
Well the 1st half belonged to the ground game the 2nd half was all Nelson as the QB throws 3 more TD's including 2 to SR WR Latrell Caples his (12th and 13th TD of the season).

Down (35-6) with less then 5 minutes to play, Wyoming would finally find the endzone making it (35-13) but BSU would extend the lead with a Delmas FG to make it (38-6) with just under 2 minutes to play. The Cowboys however were going down without some sort of fight and would manage as JR QB Evan Svodoba hits SO WR Evan King on a 49 yd bomb for the touchdown.

                    FINAL SCORE BOISE STATE-38 WYOMING-20

                    KEY BRONCOS
                    QB-M. Nelson-17/21 (80%) 209yds 3 TD

No matter what happens in the Boise State/Oregon State matchup in Week 14, the Broncos are headed to the Mountain West Championship for their 8th time as they finish with a 6-1 record in MWC play.

Their opponent also has clinched a spot and it will be a familiar one, as BSU will take on Fresno State after a (38-34) win over Colorado State in Week 13.

The Bulldogs and New Mexico Lobo's both finished 6-1 in MWC play as well but Fresno State won the head to head battle. This will mark the Bulldogs 6th trip to the title game.

                      Coach Scott
"BSU and FSU has built quite the rivalry over the years with the Battle for the Milk Trophy and are no strangers to facing each other with a MWC title on the line"
This will mark the 5th time these 2 schools have faced each other for the title. Fresno State beat BSU in 2018 and again in 2022 well Boise State came out winners in 2014 and 2017.

Fresno is currently (10-3) Overall and doesn't appear to have any chance at a CFB spot even with a victory on the line, well Boise State currently at (9-2) is still holding onto a #12 seed in the the current projections.

                        WEEK 14 RECAP

                        OPPONENT PREVIEW

The BSU vs OSU matchups started in 1986 with the schools meeting for a total of 10 times over the course of 38 years including a stretch from 2003-2006 where they met ever year.

Oregon State actually holds the advantage in this series winning 6 out of 10 including the teams first 3 times they meet and the last time they meet in 2022 when the Beavers beat the Broncos in Corvallis 34-17.

For Oregon State it's been a tough year. Head Coach Jonathan Smith Jr left for Michigan State (where he went just 3-9 Overall and 2-7 in Big Ten play) along with QB Aiden Chiles and 12 others also joined the portal. Then 10 of the Pa-12 teams also bolted the conference for bigger pay days and TV deals leaving WSU and OSU as the only Pac-12 teams left.

OSU made the most of it though picking up 6 wins including 4 over MWC opponents and a (24-16) win over Washington State in Week 13 to become bowl eligible.

                        GAME RECAP

The Beavers jumped out to a early (7-0) lead in the 1st Quarter and with a late score in the 2nd Quarter took at early (14-7) lead as the OSU Defense did a solid job of shutting down the Boise State offense.

BSU however would open up the 2nd half with the ball and quickly tied the game (14-14) and Aston Jeanty's 2nd rushing TD of the day.

OSU would anwser back with a TD of their own, but Malachi Nelson and Coach Scott would finally find their grove with the passing game as Nelson throws 50 yd TD bomb to L. Caples to tie the game yet again (21-21) as we head to the 4th.

The OSU Defense continued to play hard and did a pretty good job of it holding BSU to a season low 383 Total yards of Offense and just 10 1st Downs in the game but with less then 2 minutes to play, Nelson would find Caples for their 2nd hookup of the day to tie the game (28-28).

OSU had a chance to win the game in regulation but failed to put points on the board as this game was heading to Overtime.

This would be BSU's 5th OT game of the season including a OT loss to the Oregon Ducks in Week 2. Would the Beavers join their instate rivals in beating the Broncos and ending BSU's hopes of a Playoff spot.

OSU won the toss and elected for Defense as Nelson led the Broncos out on the field for the 1st series, he found a familiar target in Senior Latrell Caples who hauls in his 3rd TD of the day and his 16th of the season (1 shy of the school record).

OSU would answer back with a score of their own to tie the game yet again (35-35).

After a pair of runs from Aston Jeanty up the middle picked up a Bronco 1st down, Nelson found Prince Strachan on a out pattern to take the Broncos down to the 9yd line, With a 1st and goal, Nelson wastes little time Jeanty motions out of the backfield into a 5 WR set, Nelson takes the snap and fire a quick slant over the middle to TE Matt Lauter who scores to give BSU the lead.

Coach Scott making the call leaves the Bronco offense on the field and Nelson once again steps up to the line of scrimmage this time with both Jeanty and Jambres Dubar in the backfield, Nelson takes the read option and keeps it himself as he dives in to complete the 2 point play making it (43-35).

OSU would once again go quickly to the air despite 4 early INT's by QB Ben Gulbranson, the Bevears, OSU would once again find the endzone as hits JR Jeremiah Noga for he score.

Forced to go for the 2ot conversion to tie the game and force a 3rd OT series, the Beavers however come up short as the Bronco Defense sacks Gulbranson before he can get off the play....

                          BRONCOS WIN 6TH MWC TITLE!!

For 1st year HC Spencer Danielson, Year 1 as the Broncos hew HC couldn't haven been scripted better. The former DC took over as Interim coach last season and guided the Broncos to a 3-0 finish including a MWC title, before losing in the LA Bowl to end 2023, but Boise State named Coach D HC for the 2024 season and one of his first acts once former OC Bush Hamdan announced his departure for Kentucky was to name Ryne Scott the Broncos new OC.

Scott wish the help of former 5* Transfer (USC) Recruit Malachi Nelson helped transform the Broncos Offense into the powerhouse they once were.

BSU finished 4th in the nation in Total Offense with 5,366 yds and 4th in the nation in passing yards with 3,950, well averaging the 3rd best PPG (37.4).

All 3 stats led the MWC conference well Nelson had a recording setting year of 44 Touchdown pass's.

Nelson's 3,950 yds is also #2 in the Boise State record books surpassing Kellen Moore's 2011 season with 3800 yds and 2010 when he passed for 3845 yds. With a playoff game or more left , Nelson could still surpass Ryan Dinwiddies record of 4356 yds set in 2003.

Nelson has had alot of help, with a very successful receiving core.....

SR Latrell Caples is having a record setting season as well, leading the Broncos with 68 rec for 986 yds well tying the school record held by Tyler Shoemaker (2011) with 16 TD's.

SR Austin Bolt isn't to far behind in catches and yards (57,898) well SO Prince Strachan (67 rec for 874 yds and 8 TD's) has shown that Nelson has a solid #1 WR option for the next 2 seasons.

TE Matt Lauter has also been a explosive catching 45 balls for 448 yds and 7 TD.

The Passing game however isn't the only thing that got the Broncos to their 11th win and another MWC title, and the Broncos 1st ever playoff seed in College Footballs new 12 team playoff system.

Junior RB Aston Jeanty could've gone anywhere in the nation to play this season with ever powerhouse program looking to add the young man from Jacksonville FL who broke out with a insane Sophomore season of 220 carries 1347 yds and 14 TD's on the ground to go with 43 rec for 598 yds and 5 TD's through the air.

Instead Jeanty returned looking to help guide the Broncos to a playoff berth.
Well his #'s were not as good as last year they are still NLF caliber as he finished the year with 199 carries for 976 yds and 8 TD's, well also adding in 31 rec for 330 yds and 1 TD.

                          Coach Scott
"It's our goal to get Jeanty over 1000 yds on the year, which shouldn't be to hard 24 yds away, well also trying to see if Caples,Bolt and Strachan could all potentially hit 1000 yds as well."

                          GAME RECAP

BSU led at the half (14-3) behind a pair of Nelson TD pass's well Jeanty extended the Bronco lead to (28-3) with a pair of TD runs' finshing the game with 91 yds on the ground. Fresno would manage a late score well BSU added a FG to make it a (31-10) final.

                            PLAYOFF SEEDS ARE ANNOUNCED!!

For the 1st time in College Football a 12 team playoff bracket will decide the National Championship.

Oklahoma secures the #2 seed after beating Texas A&M (37-34) winning their 1st ever SEC title as they finish the year (10-3)

Clemson secures the #3 seed with a with a (10-3) record after beating SMU in the ACC Championship game.

Kansas State is awarded the #4 seed after a (41-28) win over Oklahoma State in the Big 12 title game finishing the year at (10-3)

Florida State is awarded the #5 seed as they finish the year (10-2) and ranked #2 in the CFP Top-25 rankings.

Georgia despite 3 loss's (9-3) some how holds onto the #4 ranking in the CFP Top-25 and is awarded the #6 seed.

Miami like FSU didn't play in the ACC Championship but like the Seminoles they finished (10-2) and ranked #5 in the Top-25 rankings as they secure the #7 seed.

Oregon went 9-3 (lost to OSU, Illinois and Michigan) in their first year in the Big Ten and finished the year ranked #6 in the Top-25. They get the #8 seed.

Michigan finished the year (9-4) after dropping it's last 2 games to Ohio State but the Wolverines will still have a shot at a National title as they will face Oregon as the #9 seed with both teams getting a potential shot at #1 Ohio State in Round 2.

Texas A*M finished the year #9 in the rankings with a (10-3) record after their SEC title loss to Oklahoma, they will get the #10 seed.

Notre Dame competed as a Independent yet again despite multiple attempts to get them to join the Big Ten or ACC. The Irish went (8-4) (wins over Top-25 Louisville and USC, loss's to Texas A&M, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Virginia) and somehow the Irish manage to hold onto the #11 ranking in the Top-25 and secure the #11 seed in the playoffs.

Boise State is in the playoffs as the #12 seed after finishing the year (11-2) with a MWC title and the #12 ranking in the poll's.

BSU will face #5 FSU in the 1st Round with the winner advancing to face #5 Kansas State in the Sugar Bowl.

**Noteworthy teams that missed the playoffs.

Rice finished the year (11-2) winning the ACC but only climbed as high as #18 in the Top-25 rankings.

Alabama finished the year (9-3) and #13 in the rankings but was just 7th in the SEC.

West Virginia went (9-3) and finished #3 in the Big 12 but climbed only to #19 in the final polls

No other non-power 4 team had more then 8 wins besides BSU and Rice.

DO WE NEED TO SEE MAJOR CHANGES TO THE LANDSCAPE OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL

Last year 10 teams for the Pac-10 left the conference for bigger payday's and bigger TV deals leaving Oregon State and Washington State behind.

USC,UCLA, Oregon and Washington all left for the Big Ten and the Ducks funded by Nike's Phil Knight NIL money continued their success going 9-3 (6-3 in conference play) well making the playoffs.

USC also had some success going 8-4 (6-3 in conference) and finishing the year ranked #22.

Washington however did not. Yes their HC bolted for Alabama along with 24 players joining the transfer portal (some returned but 12 or so left). as they finish the year 5-7 Overall and 3-6 in conference play.

UCLA was even worse going 1-8 Overall and 1-8 in Big Ten play.

Utah, Colorado, Arizona and Arizona State didn't find things were all that better in the Big 12.

The Utes finished 7-5 but just 5-5 in conference.

Colorado also went 7-5 well going 5-4 in conference play

Arizona managed a .500 season at 6-6 but all 6 loss's came in Big 12 play

ASU went 5-7 and just 3-6 in Big 12 play.

For BYU a move to the Big 12 was about the same results.. 7-5 Overall well all 5 loss's came in conference play. Would they have won the MWC??

Cincinnati didn't have much success as they also joined ASU at 5-7 Overall and 3-6 in Big 12 play

Cal managed to go 7-5 in their 1st season in the ACC well going 4-4 in conference play.

Stanford however finsihed 5-7 and was 3-5 in ACC play.

SMU found success (6-2 ACC play) though as the Texas school played in the ACC title game finishing the year 8-4 after a loss to Clemson.

Oklahoma seems to love the SEC as they go 7-1 and win the Conference Title with a 10-3 record overall.

Texas however didn't do as well going just 3-5 in SEC play and 5-7 Overall.

Now the question remains. Is 16/17 teams conferences too big? What becomes of the Pac-12 and Mountain West if they merge? How are schools going to be able to afford the travel and not just schools but the fan's who want to attend their schools away games. How many Cal Bear fans can afford 4-5 trips to the East Coast.

Does Washington really think they have any shot at playing for a National title game now that they will have to face Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon, USC, Penn State, Nebraska every year?

Who emerges at the Big 12 favorites with Texas and Oklahoma gone. Does Kansas or K-State become a National powerhouse?

What about the SEC. Can LSU, Florida and Alabama remain among the leaders, will Auburn ever have a shot at a National title again?

There are so many questions and honestly I have yet to decide how I want to proceed in Year 2 of my Dynasty. Part of me wants to redo every conference, part of me wants to just rebuild the Pac-12, part of me thinks maybe I should just leave it alone..

Anyone have any opinions or suggestions???

BRONCOS UPSET NOLE'S IN OPENING ROUND!!

For the 2nd time in school history the Boise State Broncos have upset the Florida Seminoles.

BSU and FSU met in 2019 with the Broncos scoring 17 unanswered 2nd half points after falling behind early 21-6 in the 1st Quarter. but came back to win (36-31).

Today was a different story. BSU jumped out to the early 14-0 lead before FSU tied the game (14-14) midway through the 2nd Quarter. Both teams traded touchdowns before the end of the half as the two teams go into the locker room tied (21-21).

BSU's Malachi Nelson had 2 first half TD throws well adding 150 yds to his season total.

The Boise State defense stepped up huge in the 3rd Quarter keeping FSU off the scoreboard but the Nole's D did a pretty good job to as BSU manages just 3 points on a J. Delmas FG to take the (24-21) lead into the 4th.

Florida State would take the lead midway through the 4th with 5:32 to play in the game as DJ Uiagalelei throws his 3rd TD of the day finding TE Kyle Morlock on a 29 yd strike.

Boise State's Coach D and OC Ryne Scott knew they wanted to take some time off the clock and they did it with perfection as JR RB Aston Jeanty carries the ball 9 times out of his 17 carries on the day during the drive ending with his 2nd TD on the day as he runs over the defense from 8 yds out to give BSU the (31-28) lead with 1:17 to play.

FSU had a chance to tie the game but SR Kicker Ryan Fitzgerald's 47 yd attempt was wide left. The kick was just the 4th kick out of 18 Fitzgerald has missed on the season and the first kick inside 50 yds (previously 5/6 from 40-49 and 3/6 from 50+
