Will be interesting to see. Right now West and Long are on pace to potentially break records I set back in my first 4 years with Malachi Nelson (Single Season TD-50), West has 35 still with 2 regular season games plus the Pac-12 Championship and playoff games and Terron "T-Money Sermon's (Single Season TD-20) Maurice Long has 17.

      BRONCOS CLINCH PAC-12 CHAMPIONSHIP SPOT

With their Week 11 win over Arizona, Boise State moves to 7-0 in Pac-12 play with 2 games left to play. Currently Cal is the only team with less then 3 loss's meaning that even if BSU loses it's final 2 games they would would still hold the tie breaker over the Bears.

      GAME RECAP

Fresh off their "Bye" Week, Boise State dominated the 1st half taking a (24-3) lead into the locker room as George West throws 3 TD's including a pair to Maurice Long and 1 to Larry Silatolu. For Long it was his 16th and 17th TD of the season as he is now just 3 TD's away from matching Terron "T-Money Sermon's Single season record.

BSU would add to the lead on the opening drive of the 2nd half as Leati Hart runs it in from 7 yds out to make it (31-3).

Arizona would score twice in the 4th Quarter to make it (31-18), but with less then a minute to play in the game Boise State sends out Patrick Ybarra to drill a 47 yd FG to end the game.

      FINAL SCORE BOISE STATE-34 ARIZONA-18

      KEY PLAYERS

      QB G. West-22/32 (68%) 284 yds 3 TD, 23 yds rushing

      IMPACT FROM THE GAME

With the win Boise State has won 9 straight to move to 9-1 on the season after their Week 1 loss to Clemsn. BSU jumps up 1 spot to #2 in the Top-25 rankings.

      INJURY REPORT

Boise State got back DE Dee Gallo and he responded with 3 sacks in this first game back, but the Broncos 4 players this week on Defense as OLB Frank Ruegamer goes down with a Partial MCL Tear that will keep him out at least 6 weeks.

Well Gallo returns, BSU loses both Brock James (Torn Bicep-7 weeks) and Lee Damico (Broken Ribs-2 weeks) as well as DT Brock Hurley (Dislocated Hip-5 weeks).

        WEST/LONG LOOK TO MAKE HISTORY!!

Coach Ryne Scott's return to Boise State is starting to look like a historical season. After a disappointing Week 1 loss to Clemson, the Broncos have know won 10 straight as they jump another spot in the Top-25 rankings to #2 going into Week 14. Boise State is also now 8-0 in Pac-12 play and has locked up 1 side of the Pac-12 Championship.

Despite a Defense that has been hamstrung by injuries and a run game that has produced just 9 TD's, Boise State's Offense ranks #3 in scoring (37.1 PPG) (Texas is #1 39.5, Maryland is #2 37.5), with the #2 Passing Offense (3479 yds) (UCLA is actually #1 with 3696 yds, Texas is #3 3468).

JR QB George West has been front and center. The reigning Heisman winner coming off a 4141 yds 47/3 season a year ago. Is on his quest to make the history books with 3479 yds 40 TD and 8 INT after a 5 TD performance in this weeks win over WSU.

His #1 target SR Maurice Long is already there. Long's (3) TD performance against the Cougars was his 4th game of the year with a "Hat trick" (3 scores) giving him a share of the Pac-12 and Boise State single season record (20) held by Terron "T-Money" Sermon. With 3 guaranteed games left to play +more depending on the playoffs, Long actually has a legit shot at breaking the NCAA record of 30 held by Isaiah Bond set in 2025.

        GAME RECEAP

After a slow start BSU took the lead (7-3) in the 1st Quarter with West's 1st TD pass to Long. The Broncos would then score 17 unanswered in the 2nd Quarter as West connects on TD's with Long and TE Jhurell Merling to extend the lead to (24-3) at the half.

Boise State opened up the 2nd half with the ball and quickly score as West finds JR WR Larry Silatolu for a 62 yd bomb.

Washington State would answer back with their first touchdown of the game as JR QB Angelo Morrison (81) hits SR WR Chester Perkins (80) for a 18 yd score to make it (31-10) but SO PK Patrick Ybarra comes out and knocks down a 38 yd FG to make it (34-10) as we head to the 4th.

Down by 24, Morrison came out slinging in the 4th as the Cougars add on a pair of scores to make it (34-24), but a 55 yd TD by West to Long (#5 and #3) on the day extends the lead to (41-24) with under 3 minutes to play, and after a Morrison INT (SS L. Awasom) Ybarra comes out and knocks down a 48 yd FG for good measure.

Morrison finished the day completing 29/51 (56%) for 307 yds with 3 TD and 1 INT

        FINAL SCORES BSU-44 WSU-24

        KEY PLAYERS

        QB G. West-16/22 (72%) 327 yds 5 TD, 23 yds rushing
        RB L. Hart-14 carries 67 yds, 2 rec 13 yds
        WR M. Long-7 rec 160 yds 3 TD
        WR L. Silatolu-4 rec 110 yds 1 TD
        TE J. Merling-3 rec 44 yds 1 TD

        UP NEXT

Boise State will close out the regular season at home on "The Blue" hosting 3-8 Utah. The Utes are just 1-7 in Pac-12 play after starting the year in the Top-25 rankings @ #19. It's Senior Day as 14 Seniors will play their final game in front of the home crowd, including Maurice Long..

          BRONCOS STAY PERFECT!!!

It took a 4th Quarter comeback but Boise State managed to pickup their 9th straight Pac-12 win closing out their regular season with a victory over Utah as BSU celebrated their 14 Seniors before the game.

For the first time in Coach Scott's coaching career, not all Seniors got the starting nod as 3rd string QB Kona Krammer gave way to QB1 George West as the Broncos took the field.

West battling TTU QB George Feliz in the Heisman voting would throw a 30 yd TD pass to Maurice Long to open up the game. For Long it was a new Pac-12 and BSU single season TD record as the ball makes it over to the sidelines to be put in the trophy case.

West and Long where not done yet though as the duo hooks up twice in the 2nd Quarter to give BSU the (21-14) lead going into halftime.

Boise State opened up the 3rd Quarter picking off UTE QB SR Damarr McNabb (78) for a 2nd time in the game but the offense failed to covert the turnover into points.

JR CB George Graves already with a INT on the day would pick off McNabb a 2nd time late in the 3rd Quarter but again the Broncos would fail to put points on the board as the score remained (21-14) as we head to the 4th.

Utah with no chance for a bowl game knew today was their final game of the season and continued to play like it as the Utes tie the game (21-21) early in the 4th as McNabb hits SO Brian Lamb (78) for a 21 yd scoring strike. Then after a George West INT, McNabb and Lamb would hookup again as Utah takes the lead (28-21).

West would bounce back from his early INT by htting SR Nico Lelito on a 17 yd score (his first of the year) to make it (28-28) with 4:32 to play in the game.

A huge 4th down stop by the Broncos gives West and the Offense the ball back with 3:12 to play and West quickly leads a 9 play drive capped off by a 5 yd TD pass to backup RB Larry Wade as BSU takes the lead (35-28)

Utah has a chance to try and tie the game backup with 2:17 to play but again the Bronco Defense delivers with a huge 4th down stop and again Wade comes through with a 8 yd TD run to make it (42-28) with 1:15 to play.

Utah out of timeouts throws 4 incomplete pass's turning the ball over for a 3rd straight series and with 32 seconds to play SR RB Leati Hart breaks off a 36 yd TD run to close out the game.

Utah QB D. McNabb finished the game 20/31 for 301 yds with 3 TD and 3 INT, he also had 61 yds rushing with 1 TD as he responsible for all 4 scores.

          FINAL SCORE BOISE STATE-49 UTAH-28

          KEY PLAYERS

          QB G. West-20/33 (60%) 263 yds 5 TD 1 INT, 17 yds rushing
          RB L. Hart-13 carries 83 yds 1 TD, 1 rec 10 yds
          RB L. Wade-5 carries 18 yds 1 TD, 2 rec 22 yds 1 TD
          WR M. Long-8 rec 109 yds 3 TD

          WR L. Silatolu-2 rec 23 yds

Thanks it hasn't been easy. A 3 point win against TCU, a 3 point win against Ohio Sate. Overtime wins against Fresno and Washington, another 3 point win over Washington, 1 point win over Oregon State, but both sides of the ball are playing pretty solid right now.

It's been a weird year. Neither Hart or Wade have breakaway speed or even enough for the burst through the line so it's alot of 3 yd gains trying to run the ball, but West is right there with GNK/Vildor/McFadden/Malachi Nelson when it comes to playing QB. and Long/Crick/Silatolu and Merling give me 4 solid options to throw the ball too.

I wish my O-Line was a little better and I wish my D-Line could get to the QB better (only 22 sacks) but I am getting some stops when I need too.

                CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK

Once again Championship Week is here and once again winners and losers this week will play a huge factor in the 12-team playoff bracket as several teams are looking to secure Top-4 seeds well others are just hoping to win out and get a seat at the table.

                BIG 12

#1 Texas Tech will take on #8 (9-3) Oklahoma. The Red Raiders finished the regular season (11-1) with their only loss coming to the Sooners back in Week 4 (31-17). Can TTU get it's revenge and secure the #1 seed, or will the Sooners make it a sweep and knock the Defending Champs into the 1st Round?

                PAC-12

#3 (11-1) Boise State will take on #9 (10-2) Cal. The Bears have won 4 in a row since falling to BSU in Week 9 with wins over Washington, Arizona State, Stanford and UCLA. Most feel like the Bears will likely still secure a spot in the Top-12 with a loss, but they would like nothing more then to knock the Broncos out of a 1st Round Bye.

                ACC

                #2 (11-1) Maryland vs #18 (8-4) UNC

The Terps beat the Tar Heals back in Week 3 (20-17). Even with a loss Maryland should keep a high enough ranking to make the playoffs. Even with a win it UNC isn't guaranteed a spot if #12 Southern Miss can win CUSA.

                BIG TEN

#5 (10-2) Michigan vs #6 (9-3) Penn State. Both teams finished 8-1 in conference play this season. The Wolverines beat the Nittany Lions back in Week 5 (31-30) and are riding a 7 game win streak. PSU started the year (2-3) but have also won 7 straight since that loss to Michigan. Both are in the playoffs this game will just decide who get's the "Bye"

                SEC

The SEC did a really good job of beating up on each other. 11 out of 14 teams finished with 6 wins or more to get bowl eligible and 4 teams finished in the Top-25 rankings but not a single team finished in the Top-10.

#17 (9-3) Georgia Tech secured the top seed going 7-2 in SEC play well #19 (8-4) Arkansas secures the tiebreaker of #13 Miami (9-3) and #14 Georgia (8-4) who all went 6-3.

                CUSA

                #12 (11-1) Southern Miss vs (9-3) Northwestern.

The Eagles not only have a chance at a playoff berth but could actually secure the #4 seed should #2 Maryland lose to UNC.

                AMERICAN

                #20 (10-2) Texas State vs (6-6) FAU

The Bobcats had a great season but it's very doubtful they can jump 8 spots in the polls to secure a spot in the playoffs.

                MOUNTAIN WEST

                (9-3) Nevada vs (8-4) Tulsa

With neither team ranked. These guy's are just playing for a title and a better bowl bid.

                SUNBELT

(9-3) Kennesaw State vs (7-5) Troy.

                See above..

                MAC

(8-4) Eastern Michigan vs (8-4) UMass

                Ditto..

BRONCOS WIN TITLE SECURE 1ST ROUND BYE!!

Despite a Week 1 loss to Clemson, Coach Scott's return to Boise has been a huge success leading the Broncos to a Pac-12 title in his first year back and securing a 1st Round "Bye" in the Playoffs as the #1 seed..

                  GAME RECAP

Boise State jumped out to a early (14-0) lead in the 1st Quarter as as Larry Wade and Earl Pitts both finish off scoring drives with short yard TD runs.

Cal would score early in the 2nd Quarter to make it (14-7) but BSU sticking with what is working finishes off a 12 play drive with another 1 yd TD run this time by SO RB Dalton Gash who get's his first career carry and score all in the same game to make it (21-7) at the half.

BSU would open up the 2nd half with the ball, but a George West INT turns into a FG by the Bears making it (21-10) but that would be the last points Cal scores.

The Broncos extend their lead to (28-10) early in the 4th as West rebounds from his early INT with a 21 yd TD pass to Maurice Long and with less then 2 minutes to play in the game BSU adds to their lead as Patrick Ybarra hits a 50 yd FG for a new season/career long.

                  FINAL SCORE BOISE STATE-31 CAL-10

                  KEY PLAYERS

#1 Texas Tech's loss to #8 Oklahoma (33-28) in the Big 12 title game sent shockwaves through the rankings as did #2 Maryland's (21-16) loss to #18 UNC. With the win UNC despite only going up 2 spots to #16 secures the #4 seed as #12 Southern Miss falls to Northwestern (29-7) in the CUSA Championship ending the Eagles season.

Those 2 loss's allowed #3 Boise State to jump to #1..

Michigan's (26-21) win over Penn State has the Wolverines jumping for joy all the way to #2 as Michigan secures it's the #2 seed.

With their loss #2 Maryland dropped to #5 and will be given the #7 seed.

Despite their loss in the Big Ten title game (9-4) Penn State stays in the Top-10 at #8 in the rankings and secures the #9 seed and a potential Round 2 matchup with #1 BSU.

BOISE STATE BRINGS HOME THE HARDWARE!!!

Despite not posting great stats in the Pac-12 Championship, TTU's loss to Oklahoma in the Big 12 title game was enough for voters to pick BSU QB George West as their 2 time Heisman winner.

West finishes the regular season with 3958 yds with 46 TD and 10 INT, well also rushing for 242 yds and 2 scores.

West will need 5 TD's in the playoffs to surpass Malachi Nelson's single season record of 50 TD's (set in 2024) and he will need 8 to surpass Stanford's Myles Jackson's Pac-12 record of 52 set in 2026

West also took home Player of the Year honors as well as Davey O'Brien Award. "Best QB"

Maurice Long finishes #2 in the Heisman behind West and ahead of TTU QB George Feliz and Maryland WR Eric Franks.

                        BRONCOS JUMP TO #1!!!

Coach Scott is no stranger to landing #1 Overall Recruiting Class's, but nobody expected him to do it in his first full season back at Boise State. But with 4 of the Top-20 5* Recruits in the nation and a flury of 4* Recruits all ranked in the Top-400, Scott has done just that.

The only position we didn't sign that we would really want to address in the off-season either with remaining recruits or players who join the portal is RB. RB1 Leati Hart (212 carries 911 yds 4 TD) is set to graduate but we still have JR's Larry Wade and Anthony Perez as well as SO Dalton Gash"

                            BRONON'S BEAT ORANGE TO ADVANCE.
                            ">

Boise State will advance to the Semi Finals and they will have a very familiar opponent on the opposite sidelines as BSU and Texas Tech will meet once again in a rematch of the 2032 playoffs and 2035 playoffs. Each school has 1 playoff win against each other. TTU won in 2032 and went on to win the the Natty (their 2nd) well BSU won in 2035 and went on to win the Natty (their 3rd, but first without Coach Scott). Now the question is can TTU win one without Coach Scott at the helm?

                            GAME RECAP

Syracuse opened the game with the ball and scored on their opening series to make it (7-0) but Boise State answers back with back to back TD's as West finds Long and Merling both for scores to make it (14-7). Syracuse would tie the game (14-14) early in the 2nd Quarter after a West INT, but the the Player of the Year would bounce back with his 3rd TD of the game hitting Larry Silatolu from 24 yds out to make ti (21-14) at the half.

BSU opened up the 2nd half with the ball and West led the Broncos on a 11 play drive ending with his 4th TD of the game as he hits backup TE Ray Wilkins on a 27 yd slant to make it (28-14).

Syracuse QB Tua Bundy-87 Ovr (no relation to Ted) completes his first 3 pass's of the 2nd half but the last one went to SS Louis Awasom for the INT.

Leading by 2 scores, Coach Scott looked to slow things down and take some time off the clock as Leati Hart and Larry Wade took over combining for 8 carries including a 32 yd TD run by Hart to make it (35-14) as we head into the 4th.

The 4th Quarter saw both teams turn the ball over on 4th down (2 times by Syracuse, 1 by BSU) before the Orange add the last score of the day as JR RB Terry Shaw breaks a 14 yd TD run with under a minute to play. Syracuse would try for the onside kick but BSU recovers and runs out the clock.

                            FINAL SCORE BOISE STATE-35 SYRACUSE-21

                            BRONCOS FALL TO TTU!!!

**So I accidently deleted my save file for the end of the year recap, so I don't have the exact stats but I do remember the final score.

Texas Tech dominated the 1st Quarter scoring 4 times as George Feliz shreds the Bronco secondary for 4 TD's including 3 to Dennis Erving.

Boise State's George West would rally BSU with (2) 2nd Quarter TD's to make it (28-14) but the Red Raiders outscore the Broncos (21-14) in the 2nd half as well as Texas Tech rolls to (49-28) victory..

TEXAS TECH REPEATS WINNING NATTY MINUS SCOTT!!

After defeating Scott and the Broncos, Texas Tech went on to beat Maryland in the Natty (42-28) Feliz throws for 4 scores and Holliday ran for 2...

TTU graduates 17 players including 14 that get drafted, but all the underclassman stayed..
