Bitter sweet win over Boise State, but the Panthers are looking like a great sleeper pick to make the CFP.

Too many QBs is a good problem to have. I always feel bad once I have a guy who is an established starter but have a backup I'm more excited for lol happened with Bender and Lambo at the end of the USC dynasty, Bender was there for three years and dependable, but there's just something exciting about having a QB that can do it all

Church is playing well enough to win games for me and honestly I wouldn't be opposed to keeping him around or at least 1 of the 5 scramblers just to have someone who could run the ball if needed.. Verrett and Wire both have only 78 speed.. It will be interesting to see if any transfer on their own or if I just will have to encourage them to leave.

Crazy part is right now I play a 3-3-5 Defense. I always have yet I have like 4 DB's right now who are all unhappy with our play style..

**After my 80 point game vs Marshall I went to do some slider edits. I decided to switch it up and use Armor and Swords 11 min All-American for this game. Over I am happy with the results. The CPU ran the ball better then they have in the past, so much that even when down by 10 they still ran the ball. My only complaint is probably a few of the holding calls. and also a couple bogus Roughing the Passer calls, but it balanced out with both me and the CPU getting one. Also I was trying to figure out why I wasn't getting any injuries and turns out I had injuries turned off this whole time from the 2024 sim season, so that it's been fixed and turned back on.**

        GAME RECAP

Appalachian State looked nothing like a 2 win team in the 1st quarter as JR QB Bruce Shimonek (78 Ovr) puts the Mountaineers up (14-3) with a pair of touchdowns, as FIU QB Jamaal Church throws two drive killing INT's in the endzone.

APP State would extend the lead to (21-3) early in the 2nd Quarter but Church would bounce back from his early INT's throwing a pair of scores to SR Kyle McNeal to make it (21-17) at the half.

The Mountaineers up by 4 would open up the 2nd half with the ball but Shimonek quickly throws the 1st of (3) 3rd Quarter INT's as the FIU Defense puts in the Overtime (Clark, Williams and Sexil) all come up with turnovers that turn into points as Church adds to his touchdown total with another 2 scores hitting TE Dominick Naanee on a 45 yd bomb and FR Brian Cheek on a 19 yd strike.. FIU would add a 3rd score as FB Isaiah Dennis caps off a 11 play drive with a 4 yd TD run giving Florida International a (38-21) lead as we head to the 4th.

Appalachian State would cut into the lead as SR RB Khamani Alexander breaks a 24 yd run for the score to make it (38-28) and then after Church's 3rd INT of the day, Shimonek keeps it himself scrambling 24 yds for the score to make it a 3 point game (38-35).

The final drive of the game though belonged to SR RB Cole Tabb as Tabb shows off his ability to catch (3 rec 42 yds) and run (3 carries for 31 yds including a 21 yd touchdowns as FIU extends the lead to 10 with less then a minute to play.

App State takes the field with going into a 5 WR set but Shimonek's 2nd pass attempt is picked off by Mr Clark as the SR CB comes up with his 2nd INT of the day to seal the victory.

Shimonek finishes the game 19/35 (54%) for 256 yds with 3 TD's and 4 INT. He also led the team in rushing with 12 carries for 107 yds and 1 TD. SR RB K. Alexander added 95 yds on 13 carries (7.1 avg) and a score.

        UP NEXT

FIU now (7-1) on the season moves up 1 spot to #8 in the rankings after #6 Georgia is upset by Tennessee. The Panthers also are #8 in the Coaches Poll and debut at #8 in the CFP Rankings going into Week 10.

The Panthers will host (6-4) Liberty in Week 10.. The Flames struggled out of the gate this season losing 4 of their first 5 games including a 0-3 start. But they have now won 5 straight as they look to keep their CUSA title hopes alive with a upset of FIU .. Coach Miller is 1-1 vs the Flames so far in his career..

I run Armor & Swords on mine. I love it. I personally don't mind the calls. The way I see it. It is like real life where the refs call some crazy calls. I have always split my sliders between Matt's and Armors over the years as I think they both do great work.

            WEEK 10 TOP-25 UPDATE

Going into Week 10, only 4 teams in the nation remain unbeaten with 3 of them residing in the Top-10 well 9-0 UTEP gradually makes their way into the rankings and a potential spot in this year's 12-team playoff.

#1 (8-0) Oregon the 2024 Champs will look to close out the season and make their way back a spot in the Natty after a Round 2 upset by Boise State last season.

#2 (7-1) Florida made the playoffs last season and hopes to get back, but they got a tough road ahead starting with this week's matchup with #13 Georgia.

#3 (7-1) Texas A&M. The Aggies are coming off a big (30-16) win over #20 LSU.. They will look to make a return trip to the SEC title game and the playoffs again this season.

#4 (8-0). Clemson. The Tigers continue to dominate in ACC play and will look to make it 4 straight trips to the playoffs since 2024.

#5 (8-1). The Irish made 2 straight trips to the playoffs in 2024 and 2025 but then crashed last season going just (6-6).. Their only loss of the season came on the road @ Clemson. They will close out the year with a home game vs Western Michigan (3-5) and a road game @ (3-6) Wake Forest before playing a FCS matchup in Week 12, so it's pretty much a lock the Irish are making a return trip to the playoffs.

#6 (6-2) Oklahoma. The Sooners made the playoffs last season as the #9 seed. Can they make it 2 in a row.

#7 (8-0) Cincinnati.. The Bearcats missed out on playing in the American Conference Championship because of a loss to Purdue, but still made the playoffs as a 11 win #8 seed. Coming off a (35-27) win over Purdue in Week 9, Cincy is looking for not just a Conference Championship but a return trip to the playoffs.

#8 (7-1) Florida International. The Panthers shocked the nation last season making the Top-25, winning CUSA and securing the #4 seed in the playoffs before losing to #5 TAMU. It looks like FIU is looking for a repeat, but they have a tough schedule ahead with (6-4) Liberty, #15 (6-2) East Carolina and (6-2) Charlotte still to close out the season.

            #9 (6-2) Maryland
            #10 6-2) Michigan State
            #11 (6-2) Alabama
            #12 (5-3) UNC
            #13 (5-3) Georgia
            #14 (6-3) TCU
            #15 (6-2) ECU
            #16 (7-1) BYU
            #17 (5-3) Arizona State
            #18 (5-3) Stanford
            #19 (9-0) UTEP
            #20 (5-3) LSU
            #21 (5-4) Pitt
            #22 (5-3) Iowa State
            #23 (6-2) Central Michigan
            #24 (7-1) Rice
            #25 (6-3) Penn State

            CURRENT PLAYOFF PROJECTIONS

#12 Arizona State vs #5 Oregon- Winner to face #4 Michigan State
#9 FIU vs #8 Oklahoma- Winner to face #1 Florida
#11 Alabama vs #6 TAMU- Winner to face #3 Cincinnati
#10 Maryland vs #7 Notre Dame- Winner to face #2 Clemson

            HEISMAN RACE

We have a surprising leader in the Heisman race. JR WR Alex Green (Tulsa) has jumped to the #1 spot. Green leads the Hurricanes with 63 rec for 948 yds and 13 TD's which are solid # for a WR, but add in the fact he also leads them in rushing with 34 carries for 461 yds and 6 TD's and you got Heisman type stats.

Green will be pushed by a pair of Clemon Tigers teammates including a fellow WR.

JR Parker Fulghum has 47 rec for 941 yds and 15 TD's to lead the Tigers, well also adding 126 yds rushing and 1 TD.

SR QB Chirstopher Vizzina currently had 2718 yds passing with 36 TD's and just 4 INT well also adding 187 yds rushing and 3 scores.

              CUSA WEEK 10 UPDATE

With 4 games to play for most teams, it looks like it's a 4 team race for a chance at the CUSA Title..

#8 (7-1,5-0) FIU is still a favorite to repeat, but the Panthers face the tough schedule with all 3 teams still in the hunt still on the schedule.

(6-2, 5-0) Charlotte is undefeated in CUSA play but like FIU the 49er's face a tough schedule starting with #15 ECU at home in Week 10 and the #8 Panthers in Week 12 on the road. A win over 1 or both could help them not only make CUSA Championship but also make the Top-25 rankings

(7-1, 4-1) ECU's Week 8 loss to Old Dominion not only hurt their Top-25 rankings but also gave them their first loss in CUSA play. With a loss already and the fact they face both Charlotte and FIU on the road could make for a very difficult repeat chance at a spot in the Championship.

(6-4, 6-2) Liberty. The Dark horse of the 4, the Flames only have 1 conference matchup left. If they can hand FIU a loss it will increase their chances but with loss's already to Charlotte and ECU, the Flames are probably just happy they are bowl eligible this season.

Speaking of Bowl Eligible. Currently the rest of the CUSA will basically need to win out as nobody has more then 3 wins total.

              Marshall (3-5)
              FAU (3-5)
              Old Dominion (3-5)
              Coastal Carolina (3-5)
              James Madison (3-6)
              Appalachian State (2-6)

                GAME RECAP

FIU jumped out to a early (14-0) lead as QB Jamaal Church throws for 1 score and runs for another. The Panthers would then extend the lead to (21-0) early in the 2nd Quarter as FR WR Brian Cheek takes a Jet Sweep 4 yds for his first rushing touchdown of the season.

Liberty would answer back with a score as JR QB Jayden Bradford (77) starts to heat up completing 5/5 pass's including a 28 yd strike to JR WR Eric Smith (78) to make it (21-7).

FIU would then get a scare as Church takes a huge hit in the backfield and has to leave the game, leaving Coach Miller a tough decision on who to send in. Clayton Dees and Antwan Malveaux hadn't played since the Panthers Week 1 loss to FSU well RS FR Tarvaris Maijeh was 0/2 in his only 2 attempts this season..

Miller decided to roll with Maijeh and at first it wasn't pretty, as the Redshirt Freshman turns the ball over twice (INT and a Fumble) leading to 3 more scores by the Flames as Liberty takes a (28-21) lead with under 2 minutes to play, but Maijeh puts the turnovers behind him and leads the Panthers in a perfect 2 minute offense including a QB keeper with 10 seconds to play as he dives in to tie the game (28-28) at the half.

FIU would force a quick 3 and and out to start the 2nd half, and it was Maijeh once again leading the offense onto the field and again the RS Freshman delivers as he throws his first career TD hitting Enrique Cortez on a 45 yd bomb to give the Panthers the (35-28) lead.

Another defensive stop by the Panthers late in the 3rd Quarter would lead to another Maijeh to Cortez score as FIU extends the lead to (42-28) as we head to the 4th.

A big defense stop by the Panthers would force a early 4th Quarter FG by the Flames (36 yds) to make it (42-31). FIU already 3/3 on 4th down plays on the day would face a big decision late in the game but would decide to punt giving Liberty and Bradford a shot at 1 more score.

Bradford already with 4 TD's on the day would make it #5 as he connects on a 18 yd strike to JR WR Brandon Payne (71) to cut the lead to (42-37). Liberty would leave their offense on the field and convert the 2pt play making it (42-39) with 1:47 to play in the game.

Down by 3 Liberty had no choice but to try and kick the onside kick in hopes of getting the ball back and giving their kicker a chance to send the game into OT but FIU recovers and runs out the clock for the "W".

Bradford ended the day 27/40 (67%) 326 yds 5 TD.

                KEY PANTHERS

                QB J. Church-10/15 (66%) 115 yds 1 TD, 98 yds rushing (had 2 runs for over 30 yds) 1 TD
                QB T. Maijeh-9/17 (52%) 159 yds 2 TD 1 INT, 3 yds rushing 1 TD, 1 Fumble
                RB C Tabb-10 carries 70 yds , 2 rec 15 yds
                WR B. Cheek-1 carry 4yds 1 TD, 2 rec 15 yds

WR Juju Lewis-2 rec 27 yds 1 TD
                TE D. Naanee-4 rec 62 yds

                INJURY UPATE

Church has been cleared to return to action in Week 11..

                UP NEXT

FIU moves to (8-1) with the win and moves up to #7 in the rankings as 3 teams in the Top-10 all lose in Week 10. The Panthers will put their 8 game win streak on the line against #14 (7-2) ECU.. The Pirates defeated Charlotte (31-24) in Week 10 to keep their CUSA hopes alive.

Last year ECU won the regular season meeting of these 2 Top-25 programs but FIU got it's revenge in the CUSA Championship. Will the roles be reserved this season??

Liberty now (6-5) on the season will look to close out their regular season in Week 12 as they take on Virginia Tech in a non-conference rivalry matchup.

The East Carolina Pirates have done it again, defeating FIU in a Top-25 showdown in the regular season, ending the Panthers 8 game winning streak and putting their CUSA Championship hopes and a return trip to the playoffs in jeopardy with just 2 games left in the season. ECU with the victory is now in the drivers seat as they not only look to make a return trip to the CUSA title game but also the schools first ever trip to the playoffs.

                  GAME RECAP

Tied (7-7) after the 1st Quarter of play, FIU took the lead connecting on a 39 yd FG by Glennon to take the (10-7) lead early in the 2nd Quarter. ECU however would take the lead after Jamall Church throws a INT, ECU turns the turnover into points as RB London Montgomery (89) goes over the top diving in from 4 yds out after a nice 28 yd run set up the score to make it (14-10).

FIU had a chance to retake the lead as Church guides a 2 minute offense down to the 5 yd line but another INT into the endzone well trying to hit Naanee on a slant as ECU seals the first half victory.

ECU opened up the 2nd half with the ball and quickly finds the endzone as SR QB Raheim Jeter (83) hits FR WR Clyde Erwin (80) on a 51 yd bomb to make it (21-10). Church already with 2 INT's on the day guides the Panthers on a 9 play drive that once again is killed with a INT into the endzone as SR CB Kamaurri McKinley (81) comes up with his 2nd pick of the day.

The Panthers Defense however holds forcing a punt, as Church comes back out to try again. Church would complete his first 2 pass's including a nice 40 yd pass to Brian Cheek to get the Panthers in Field Goal range and that's what FIU would have to settle for as Cheek drops a huge 3rd down pass. Glennon connects to make (21-10).

Still trailing by 11 early in the 4th, FIU is once again forced to settle for a Glennon FG to make it (21-13) with 8 minutes to play in the game. With 5 minutes to play it looked like ECU was going to put the game away as Jeter leads the offense down field on a 7 play drive but facing a 3rd and 8, Jeter goes to the air and JR CB James Chenault is there to come up with the INT as FIU takes over on their own 40.

Given new life, FIU down by 8 heads back looking to tie the game but for a 3rd straight series, the Panthers are faced with a huge 3rd down play after a touchdown pass to Cheek is called back because of holding and again FIU is forced to settle for a potential FG but this time Glennon's kick hits the left upright bouncing out leaving it (21-13) with 4:12 to play.

The miss was just Glennon's 2nd of the year and his first inside 50 yds and actually was his first miss in 70 attempts inside 40 yds.

Still armed with all 3 timeouts, the FIU Defense once again comes up with a huge stop forcing a Punt with 2:07 to play..

Despite 3 INT's in the game after coming off a Week 10 injury, Coach Miller would once again leave Church on the field to try and win the game well leading another 2 minute offense.

Church had shown the ability to overcome turnovers all season but today just wasn't the day for the transfer from Syracuse. After guiding the Panthers down inside the 10 yd line with 12 seconds to play using their last timeout, Church knew he had 2 or maybe 3 chances to try and get the ball into the endzone.

His first attempt was another slant to Naanee but the Pirate D was ready knocking the ball way with 7 seconds to play. Church's 2nd attempt was in the direction of Juju Lewis but falls to the ground as Church is hit as he throws. Now facing a 3rd and goal with 2 seconds to play, Church again drops back looking for his 6'6 TE (Naanee) but RS FR SS Conner Johnson (76) was ready as he picks off the pass to seal the victory.

For the 3rd straight year, Coach Matt Miller has guided the Florida International to a win on "Senior Day". The victory also clinched a return trip to the CUSA Championship and a rematch with ECU as well and kept FIU's playoffs hopes alive as they jump 3 spots in the rankings are now projected as the #9 seed

                    GAME RECAP

Tied (7-7) after the 1st Quarter after Jamaal Church hits Enrique Cortez on a 10 yd curl that turns into a 79 yd catch and run score, FIU would take a (21-7) lead into the locker room as SR Cole Tabb scores twice giving him the FIU school record for TD's in a career (41) as well tying the school record of (16) in a season.

                    Coach Miller
"We will make sure Cole gets #17"

Charlotte opened up the 2nd half with the ball and use 9 plays before handing the ball off to JR RB Rod Gainey Jr who takes it 28 yds for the score to make it (21-14). FIU would then punt 3 times in the 3rd Quarter as Church fails to convert a single 3rd down, but with 1:11 to play in the 3rd it was actually the Special teams coming up big as Alabama transfer Freshman Brian Cheek returns his 2nd punt return for a touchdown on the season as he goes 87 yds for the score to make it (28-14) as we head to the 4th.

After forcing Charlotte to punt for a 8th time on the day, FIU takes over but Church once again fails to convert a 3rd down pass FIU sends out Louis Myers for his 6th punt of the game.

A turnover on downs would give FIU the ball back and as the offense took the field it was RS FR Tavaris Maijeh leading the team but Maijeh didn't fare much better as he completes just 3/6 pass's for 29 yds well also failing to convert a 3rd down pass. Facing a 4th and 2, Coach Miller leaves the offense on the field as FB Isaiah Dennis rumbles for the 1st down. With both his QB's struggling Miller goes to the ground game as Tabb looks for TD #17, but after breaking what looked to be a 32 yd score, the play is called back for holding. FIU however does manage to regroup and 5 plays later it's RS SO Jalen Haslam scoring his 1st career TD as he slashes through the defense on a 5 yd run to make it (35-14).

Charlotte not giving up uses 9 plays including a 17 yd TD run by backup RB Manny Westerman (78/JR) to cut the lead to (35-21). Down 2 scores with 3:48 to play in the game the 49er's line up for the onside kick but Juju Lewis is there for the recovery As the Offense took the field FIU had a new QB under center as RS JR Clayton Dees returns. Despite leading by 2 scores, Coach Miller gives Dees full control of the offense and Dees delivers using play action to complete 3/4 pass's including a 40 yd bomb to #2 TE Jose Malik for his first TD of the season to make it (42-21).

Up by 3 scores, the FIU Defense would seal the victory as RS FR Tevaughn Stewart picks off JR QB Deshawn Purdie (79) as FIU runs off the final seconds of the game.

Purdie finished the game (18/29 (62%) 156 yds 1 TD 1 INT and was sacked 3 times.

JR RB Rod Gainey Jr was the 49er's hero today as he picks up 145 yds on 24 carries (6.0 avg) with a touchdown.

Don't have to wait till next season. We get a rematch with them again in the CUSA Championship...But yes they are quickly building a rivalry with Coach Miller that will last his career I feel like not just at FIU.

For a 2nd straight season, the Florida International Panthers have finished the regular season going (8-1) in CUSA play to secure a chance at another CUSA Championship, as FIU will look to rematch with ECU for a 2nd straight year after the Pirates defeated Coastal Carolina (30-13) earlier in the day to also finish (8-1) in CUSA play.

                              GAME RECAP

After watching 3 different QB's play in the the Panthers win over Charlotte in Week 12 all all eyes were on who would make the start for FIU in Week 13. That question was answered as #10 RS JR Clayton Dees leads the offense out on the field for the opening drive.

Dees didn't wait to make his presence known as he completes 3/3 pass's on the opening drive including a 28 yd scoring strike to Enrique Cortez to give the Panthers the (7-0) lead in the 1st Quarter.

Old Dominion would tie up the game early in the 2nd Quarter as SR QB Colton Joseph (83) completes a huge 75 yd bomb to JR Timmy Montgomery after a Louis Myers Punt pins ODU deep.

Tied (7-7), Dees woudl find his grove as the JR QB makes the most of his 2nd chance as he throws 3 more TD's to close out the half (18 yd to Naanee, 25 yd to FR Tyler Cisco and a 11 yd strike to Kyle McNeal) to give FIU the (28-7) lead at the half.

Old Dominion would start out the 2nd half with the ball but had to settle for a FG after a failing to pickup a long 3rd and 20 after a holding call. (28-10). FIU looking to slow things down goes to the ground game as Cole Tabb finally gets TD #17 giving him the Single season Panther record as FIU extends their lead to (35-10).

The Monarch despite trailing by 25, don't give up on their own ground game as SO RB Bobby Schommer (70) breaks a 30 yd run for a score to make it (35-17).

FIU staying with that works goes back to the well as they hand off to Tabb and the SR RB delivers with a 28 yd TD run for his 18th of the season to make it (42-17) with 8 minutes to play.

Again despite trailing by multiple scores, Old Dominion doesn't stop running the ball and with 3 minutes to play ODU finds the endzone as JR RB G. Burnett (74) scores from 4 yds out to make it (42-24). Rather then attempt a onside kick, ODU kicks the ball into the endzone as FIU lines up with the hands team expecting a onside attempt.

The Panthers looking to just close things out would settle for a Issac Glennon 23 yd FG with 42 seconds to play for the final points.

                                TEAM REPORT

                                MILLER SIGNS 5 YEAR EXTENSION

FIU has announced that Coach Matt Miller will look to sign a new 5 year contract that will give him a annual salary of 1 million dollars making him one of the highest paid coaches in CUSA.

Miller who in just 3 seasons has already accomplished things most former FIU coaches only dreamed about. Miller not only guided FIU to it's first Bowl win in 2025 in 8 years but he also guided the school to their 1st ever Top-25 ranking on their way to a school record 11 wins winning the schools 1st CUSA title and making the playoffs as the #4 seed in 2026. Miller followed all that up by going 10-2 this season including a 8-1 record as he guides the school back to the CUSA title game for a 2nd straight year with hopes of another playoff berth.

Miller is 30-9 Lifetime with 6 of his 9 loss's coming against Top-25 programs.

CLEMENT AND BROOKS INTERVIEW FOR HC JOBS AGAIN

Reports are both OC Charles Clement and DC Malcom Brooks once again are being courted by other programs. Rumor is that Rice actually wants to bring in both coaches for a potential HC vacancy.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH JAMAAL CHURCH?

Redshirt Sophomore Jamaal Church took ahold of QB1 in Week 2 and never looked back completing 64% of his pass's for 2867 yds well throwing 24 TD's and 12 INT on the season, but after leaving the game early in a Week 10 win over Liberty, Church hasn't looked the same. He threw 4 INT's in the Panthers loss to ECU in Week 11 and then struggled in FIU's Week 12 win over Charlotte leaving the game early once again.

                                Coach Miller
"Our doctors cleared Jamaal to return to action after the Liberty game but to be completely honest I don't think he is completely healed. He is struggling to make some easy throws and has also struggled with his decision making.. Well our staff still has cleared him medically, we felt it was best to give him some rest as the ODU game wasn't really going to factor into whether or not we made the CUSA Championship"
                                UP FOR AWARDS

For a 2nd straight year, SR RB Cole Tabb has been nominated for the Doak Walker Award given to the nation's "Best RB" Tabb will go into the CUSA title game with 229 carries for 1197 yds (5.2 avg) and 18 TD's on the season well also adding 42 rec for 331 yds (7.9 avg) and 1 TD.

Currently he is listed as the front runner after missing out last year with TAMU's Ruben Owens winning, but Tabb will need to put up some solid #'s against the Pirates because Michigan State's Darius Taylor has a strong resume.

The former Minnesota Gopher transfered to MSU after rushing for 924 yds and 11 TD's as a Soph. He then carried the ball 209 times for 1435 yds and 9 TD as a Junior and this season he is at it again with 218 carries for 1304 yds (leading the nation) and 17 TD's..

Tabb isn't the only Panther up for a Post-Season Award. WR/Returner Brian Cheek has been nominated for Returner of the Year.. The former Alabama Tide transfer has had a huge season for the Panthers, returning 34 punts for 473 yds (13.9 avg) and 2 scores, well also posting 17 KR for 401 yds (23.6 avg) on top of his team leading 60 rec for 1006 yds and 9 TD's.

                                RECRUITING UPDATE

Coach Miller and his staff got off to a hot start this season landing (4) 4* Recruits early in QB's Enrique Verrett and Zach Wire as well as WR Kris Newkirk and RB Shawn Boye.

Well the Panthers missed out on several other 4* Recuits along the way, Coach Miller did happen to land 2 more giving the school a record (6) 4* recruits as OLB Joey Guerrero (#450 Overall/#65 FL/#26 OLB) and 4* FS Anthony Cookus (#470 Overall/#69 FL/#30 FS) both sign giving the Panthers to future stars on Defense..

FIU didn't stop there, as the Panthers also secure from a pair of 3* Athletes as well.

6'5 204lbs Tim Pinner from Altamonte Springs FL (#1366 Overall/#165 FL/#153 ATH) and 6'2 232lbs Kwabena Strong from Boynton Beach FL (#471 Overall/#70 FL/#41 RB).

                                Coach Miller
"We really like both players. Right now Pinner is most likely going to be a WR/TE probably someone similar to current Panther Wayne Gutierrez who we recruited as a WR and who moved to TE as a Freshman. They are similar size.. Strong who many other scouting agencies actually had as a 4*, is a guy we see who will most likely be a Hybrid RB/FB similar to RS FR Isaiah Dennis. FB is a position we try and utilize on the goal line (Ferguson and Dennis have a combined 7 TD's in the past 2 season's and with Ferguson finishing up his JR season we thought it would be good to bring in Strong so he could sit a year and then push Dennis for that starting role in 2029. We also think he could be valuable on Defense at either LB or maybe SS"
With just 7 players currently signed FIU has fallen off the National Radar to the current ranking of #52 Overall trailing both East Carolina (#32 12-3*) and FAU (#38, 4-3*,12-2*).
