On console games, I have always gone by xboxxerx, but when I used to game on computer, I went by boxer. When I created my PS gamertag, boxer was taken. Haven't tried to see if it is available again since.

Florida International has done it, in just his 2nd year at the helm, Coach Matt Miller has guided the Panthers to CUSA title as FIU get's their revenge against ECU handing the Pirates their first loss of the season well winning their 11th game of the year and securing a spot in the 2026 College Football Playoffs.

The game went back and forth all game.. Tied (7-7) at the end of the 1st Quarter and again (14-14) midway through the 2nd Quarter, QB Keyone Jenkins would throw a throw a INT to SR OLB Zakye Barker (82 Ovr) and the Pirates would make the Panthers pay taking a (21-14) lead with 2:48 to play in the half as QB Katin Houser throws his 3rd TD of the day hitting JR WR Trenton Cloud (82 Ovr) on a 28 yd score.

Jenkins would shake off the mistake though and came out firing as he hits Victor Jones Jr on a 55 yd TD bomb to tie the game once again (21-21) with 1:36 to play in the half. Then it was Houser's turn to make a mistake as the ECU QB throws his own INT into the hands of CB Mister Clark.. Not wanting to take any chances FIU would run off most of the clock before sending out SO PK Issac Glennon to kick a 49 yd FG to give FIU the (24-21) lead at the half.

ECU opened up the 2nd half with the ball but needed just 1 play to find paydirt as Houser hits SR Brock Spaulding on a 80 yd bomb to make it (28-24). For Spaudling it was his 3rd TD of game well also giving him 200 yds receiving on the day.

Despite being down by 4 points, FIU continued to stick with a rushing attack that had put up 121 yds in the 1st half, and Cole Tabb continued to deliver breaking off multiple 10 yd runs to setup a 1st and goal. Todd however would fail to punch in the touchdown as Coach Miller employs a new look in the backfield with Cash Jones joining Todd on the 3rd and 1, FIU uses Todd as a decoy as the Defense bites, and Jones takes it in for the score.

Miller would leave the offense on the field as FIU try's to convert the 2pt play but the ball slips out of McNeal's hands leaving it (30-28).

After a quick 3 and out, FIU took over on the 30 yd line and again had no struggles running the ball down the throat of the Pirate Defense as they tally another 70 yds ending in a FB dive by Antonio Ferguson. This time Glennon would come on to kick the XPT as FIU makes it (37-28).

Again the Panther "D" steps up as Houser is forced into a 3rd and 18 after taking a 8 yd sack by OLB Ronni Mcrae and again the Pirates are forced to punt leading to another Issac Glennon FG as FIU takes a (40-28) lead into the 4th.

ECU however didn't win 12 games this year by giving up as Houser finds his grove once again as he throws his 5th TD of the day connecting on a 15 yd strike to SR TE Desirrio Riles (78 Ovr) to make it (40-35).

Then it was the ECU defense stepping up as the strip Jenkins of the ball for a fumble and after a 33 yd return, ECU takes the lead as FR RB Jake Lovett (70 ovr) breaks a 26 yd run for the score to make it (42-40) with 3:58 to play in the game.

Well turnovers have plagued some of Jenkins success this season (17 INT and 6 Fumbles) one thing that he has done well is rebound from those mistakes and he did it again as he leads FIU on a 8 play drive ending with a 16 yd TD strike to FR TE Dominic Naanee to give the Panthers the (47-42). With 2:12 to play..

For Naanee it was his 14th TD of the season as the Freshman sets a new single season school record breaking the record of 13 set by JR WR JuJu Lewis last season after he caught 3 TD's in the Panthers win over WSU in the Bowl game.

Trailing (47-42) ECU still armed with all 3 timeouts had a chance to try and win the game but the Panther "D" comes up with 2 huge sacks to set up a 3rd and 22.. Houser not looking to get the 1st down in 1 play hits Spalding over the middle for a 10 yd gain, but now facing a 4th and 10, Hauser's pass for Cloud is knocked away as FIU takes over on downs. Ball game over, as FIU runs out the final 48 yds off the clock adding 8 more rushing yards as the team finishes the game with 301 yds on the day.

          YOUR FINAL 12 FOR 2026

Champions Week offered plenty of upsets and in the process changed plenty of projected seeds for this year's playoff including 3 of the Top-4 seeds.

#3 Georgia handed #1 TAMU it's first loss of the season beating the Aggies (42-17) to win the SEC Championship and in the process, claim the #1 seed as TAMU drops to #3 in the rankings well securing the #5 seed.

TAMU wasn't the only Top-5 team to visit Upset City as #2 Pitt falls (38-35) to #4 Oregon as the Ducks secure the #2 seed well Pitt drops to #5 in the polls and has to settle for the #7 seed.

#23 Tulane made the most of their rematch with #6 Boise State handing the Broncos a (37-24) loss and in the process, BSU drops to #9 in the rankings and has to settle for the #10 seed in the playoffs.

#9 Miami defeats #15 UNC (41-34) to win the ACC Championship and because of TAMU and Pitt's loss, the Hurricanes secure the #3 seed and a 1st Round Bye.

Like FIU, #12 Purdue took care of business beating Temple (43-27) to win the American, but the Boilermakers don't move up in the rankings, leaving #10 FIU to claim the #4 seed and a 1st Round Bye in the schools first ever playoff appearance.

          Coach Miller
"Just like BSU in 2024, we got lucky with how the cookies crumbled with Pitt and BSU both losing and the Big 12 not having a Top-10 ranked team this season. Granted 2024 showed us though having a "Bye" isn't always a great thing, especially being how we will most likely being facing #5 seed Texas A&M and the Aggies are no joke"
With some major movement in the rankings, #5 Clemson moves up to #4 in the rankings and secures the #6 seed. #7 Oklahoma moves to #6 and secures the #8 seed, well #8 Cincinnati will settle for the #9 seed.

#11 Florida grabs the last spot as they earn the #11 seed as well.. Here is a full look at the playoffs

          #12 (12-1) Purdue vs #5 (#12-1) TAMU. Winner will face #4 (11-2) FIU

          #9 (11-1) Cincinnati vs #8 (11-1) Oklahoma. Winner will face #1 (11-2) Georgia

          #11 (10-2) Florida vs #6 (10-2) Clemson. Winner will take on #3 (11-2) Miami.

#10 (10-3) Boise State vs #5 (11-2) Pitt. Winner will take on #2 (11-2) Oregon.

**The Selection/Seeding Committee came up with some interesting matchups and future matchups, as Oregon will either get a rematch with Pitt or a rematch with Boise State who they defeated in Week 1. Miami will either face ACC rival Clemson or Sunshine State rival Florida. Oklahoma has a chance at a shot at Georgia in a SEC showdown and should Purdue somehow beat TAMU we could either have a David vs David Round 2 or if TAMU wins, FIU will face one of College Football biggest Giants in Round 2 in their first shot at a National Title.**

Am I missing something or did Ohio State fall off the planet? I'm just as good with it being a Michigan fan IRL but woah? Great season for the boys ending with a CUSA chip. Great work! Go Panthers!! Also on your earlier discussion about xboxxer being a PS player.. I once knew a guy who worked at Coca Cola but refused to drink it and would only drink Pepsi. Everyday he'd bring a Pepsi to work and drink it in his car... wild stuff.... just reminded me of that, had a good laugh there. Great work.

Just a fun fact, at least here in AK if you work for either Coca Cola (Odom operated here) or Pepsi Co, they'll fire you for drinking the competitor on the clock lol it probably only applies to lower level employs but even when I worked for Frito Lay (owned by Pepsi Co) they would only stock pepsi brand drinks in the vending machines even if we requested others (like Redbull).

A&M would be an incredibly tough draw in the opening round, but you guys have held your own all year.

Who is the QB for Purdue? Ryan Browne turned into a stud in my USC one and led the upset in 27 for the Natty

I have friends who work for Pepsi and when we go out to eat if the restaurant only had Coke products they order water or a Beer.

When I worked for Coca Cola (Swire Division) in Idaho, I would get Pepsi in a fountain drink cup when not at work or home but my garage was basically stocked with any Coke products you wanted when you came over. One of my friends even had a fountain machine at home and still does though he recently got promoted and works in the Denver Colorado plant now.

Brown is still Purdue's QB and is having a solid season but A&M is loaded. It's going to take a CPU sim miracle for the Boilermaker to pull off the win

Ohio State struggled in my original Dynasty with like 10 HC coaches over 18 seasons...

They are not doing much better in this one. They went 5-7 this year. Crazy part is in my 2024 Sim I had them make the playoffs but for some reason they the CPU sim engine doesn't like them

All caught up here and liking what I'm seeing out of FIU! Been a really great start to the build, a lot of close and dramatic finishes in Year 2 especially, but things are certainly going in the right direction. Jenkins seems like he's been a great QB to lean on in the early stages of this report, though - unless I missed a recruit or something - the biggest question going into next season is who will replace him. Might need Pitbull to dole out some NIL money to help your QB situation, haha.

Good to see you back. Yeah keeping Jenkins here when I took over was huge.. He has alot of talent.. One thing that's been a adjustment is he is a lefty, so for some reason I struggle rolling left and running left. So alot of times I forget to run and try and force a bad pass decision that has led to some bad INT's on my part. Also I don't now why but I keep getting these stupid phantom fumbles this year. I have 6 of them where he drops back to pass and just fumbles the ball.

As you will soon read, those mistakes compounded x 10 in my playoff again with TAMU, so sadly his career ends on a sour note.. I have recruited 3-3* QB's so far but none are ready to take the reigns and lead this program..

Right now I have RS SO Clayton Dees (77 Ovr) (A real life 3* Recruit) as the projected starter next season. He is decent but will be a huge drop off from Jenkins in terms of Awareness (90 vs 78) and well he has a stronger arm (92 vs 89 THP) the rest of his throwing stats are a massing drop off (Jenkins-94 Short, 90 Mid, 87 Deep Accuracy) (Dees- 83 Short, 77 Mid, 79 Deep).

I am going to hit the Portal hard because the 4* I was trying to land signed with Florida State. I simmed ahead before I played the TAMU game and there are a couple of 3* in the Portal that show promise.

Last year was huge landing Tabb at RB, so hopefully this year I can strike gold at QB.

                          GAME RECAP

The 2026 Cotton Bowl saw #5 TAMU taking on #4 FIU listed as the away team after having to beat #12 Purdue to advance in the 1st Round, but playing a Bowl game in your home state just 6 1/2 hours away feels like it could be more of a advantage.

Adding in the fact that TAMU was undefeated and had spent 8 weeks in the #1 spot in the Top-25 rankings before losing to Georgia in the SEC Championship also didn't play into the Panthers favor as FIU looked to try and knock off one of College Football's biggest Giants.

This game truly was a David vs Goliath type matchup, that featured the 2 Best RB's in the nation as Doak Walker Award winner Ruben Owens and FIU's Cole Tabb (runner up) would square off.

Owens not only won the award but also won this matchup as he goes for 200 yds on the day, well Tabb finishes with 102 yds, but still dominated the season as Tabb finishes with 1772 yds compared to Owens 1329 and counting..

FIU opened the game with the ball and after several nice runs by Tabb the Panthers were forced to settle for a 33 yd FG by Glennon to start the game (3-0).

The Panther Defense played a great 1st Quarter forcing 3 TAMU punts, but finally with :42 seconds to play TAMU found the endzone as Owens breaks a 35 yd run for the score making it (7-3).

FIU QB Keyone Jenkins struggled all season with INT's (17 before today) but the 4th year Senior Starter was also a huge reason for the Panthers even being here (4800+ yds and 38+ TD's both school records) but today was not Jenkins day as his career ends with the worst possible ending you could have.

Jenkins would throw a 5 INT's on the day including 3 "Pick 6's" including 2 in the 2nd Quarter to SR CB Javon Thomas (89 Ovr) as TAMU takes a commanding (38-16) lead into the half.

                          Coach Miller
" At 14-13, we felt great about how the game was going, but back to back Pick 6's killed us. You could see it in the face of every player on the sideline.. This game was over at 28-13.. We just had to finish it out because that's what you do"
FIU held the Aggies to a Field Goal to open up the 2nd half making it (41-16) and the Panthers deflated Hearts got a bit of a jump start as Senior RB Cash Jones receives the kickoff and takes it 98 yds to the house for his 2nd Kick return TD of the season to make it (41-23). Another big stop by the Panthers "D" gave the Offense a shot at narrowing the lead, and Jenkins would guide FIU down to the 1 yd line before throwing his 3rd "Pick 6" of the day as SO FS Jordan Pride (81 Ovr) takes it back 99 yds for the score to make it (48-23).

Jenkin's day wasn't done though as the Senior QB goes on to throw 1 more INT before exiting the game finishing the game with almost as many completions to TAMU players as his own.

For SO Clayton Dees his day wasn't any better. Dee's would complete just 3/11 (27%) for 56 yds before throwing his own INT as the Panthers finish the game with 6 turnovers.

Despite the (48-23) lead, TAMU still added 1 more score as TAMU QB Conner Weigman (89 Ovr) hits FR RB Ben Bautista (79 Ovr) on a 14 yd screen pass.

                          Coach Miller "
I get it.. Doesn't matter what the score is teams like to keep running their offense's and practice plays for upcoming games/situations, but when you are leading by 25, I don't see the point in throwing a pass on 3rd and 13 to end the game. They could've just as easily ran the ball and kicked a FG. The fact they went for it twice on 4th down early in the 4th just really rubbed me the wrong way too, but hey that's football. It's not checkers.."

                            HOW IT FINISHED

#10 Boise State made some noise in the playoffs, beating #7 Pitt (42-28) in Round 1, the Broncos then handed #2 Oregon a (21-13) loss to advance to the Semi-Finals and a matchup with #3 Miami who pulled off a (38-37) win over ACC rival #6 seed Clemson in Round 2.

The Hurricanes would score 21 points in the 4th to end the Broncos run (45-20) to secure a spot in the Natty.

On the other side. #1 Georgia beat #8 Oklahoma State (52-24) in a Round 2 SEC battle to set up a rematch of the SEC Championship game and Georgia once again prevailed handing the Aggies a (28-17) defeat.

Miami vs Georgia for the National Championship game.

Neither offense did anything in the 1st half as Georgia settles for (3) FG's to take a (9-0) lead into the locker room.

Georgia would lead (13-10) at the end of the 3rd Quarter and even take a (22-10) lead in the 4th as Heisman winner SO QB Jaden Rashada (88 Ovr) throws his 1st TD of the day, but Miami would battle back as SO QB Judd Anderson throws a pair of 4th Quarter TD's to give the Hurricanes the (24-22) lead and then a Rashada INT leads to a Miami FG to close out the game (27-22)

Miami is your 2026 National Champions..

Rough way to end Jenkins' career - three pick sixes and five interceptions in total sounds like a old Justin Keyes performance, haha. Still, making the CFP is a huge step forward, and I'm looking forward to what the offseason looks like and if you're able to bring in a transfer QB to compete with the young pups!

It was brutal. I honestly thought I had a chance when it was (14-13) but then the CPU was like, yeah right, Pick 6, Pick 6 and ball game is pretty much over. TAMU couldn't stop Tabb in the 1st Quarter (I had 66 yds rushing) but then all of a sudden he couldn't get more then 3 yds a carry and once I was down by 4 scores, I pretty much stopped running the ball. Also I did a really good job of containing Owens in the 1st Quarter minus the 1 big run, but then all of a sudden he was gaining 5-6 yds a carry no matter what defense I called. It's a video game. It's not perfect, but also in the real world, I am sure that the score would've been similar, TAMU's team was loaded..
