He does. Not sure the backstory on it but it seems to me like the AD was just looking for a reason to can Leach, which is absurd since he just gave him a brand new contract last year.

I don't want Leach. If anything, I want Muschamp or Tuberville (even though i hate him) I don't like the spread and probably never will

Oklahoma gave up 20+ in 10 of their games.

Texas was the best of the bunch but gave up 30+ 3 times and let OSU drop 20something.

Those weren't good defenses. Oklahoma played a good game against Florida, but that constituted about 85% of the defense played in the Big XII last year.
Big 12 defenses sucked last year. I was talking about this year.

Leach has never had the kinda talent LSU keeps on a regular. His system is based on getting the most out of his talent. Leach wouldnt be more first choice by far but IMO is a better one then Les(s) Miles.

Alabama? you think Tech was actually good with Hodges at QB? lol I never thought someone would say that was a good season for Tech. I guess it was good by record, but performance wise, it was not. Hodges was just as bad by himself as the 3 QB injury roulette Tech had this season.

every knew Ole Miss would beat Tech. all you have to do is run the ball. OU did the same thing but a lot better. that SEC defense didn't seem so great giving up 34 points and 469 yards.

oh, and to steal an excuse from some UT fans, the only reason Tech play 2 1-AA teams last season was because Tulsa backed out at the last minute.

I just find it funny that the school that hired Bobby Knight, would fire Leach over something like this.

He got fined a good penny for his comments over the officials in I think '07. TTU was mad over the UW interview last year as well.

The biggest thing that led to the quick trigger on the firing was the fact that Leach was owed an $800,000 bonus if he was still the coach Jan 1.

They just dumped him sooner rather than later because of the money.

I had the same reaction on my way into work this morning. What really irritated me was Mark Schlereth still referring to the "shed" and the "electrical closet" time after time after time. Honest to god, every time he kept uttering those words I was thinking, "Did my man see the same youtube video news report I did? Where they showed that garage (shed) and the press room (electrical closet)?" Then after that, the guy who was filling in for Greenberg said that they still have had no comment from Leach? Really? So that press release last night didn't happen? C'mon. It's clear they are getting thier marching orders from upstairs in Bristol and those two this morning where good little company soldiers. That whole network should be ashamed, and since when has Craig James held that much stroke at ESPN anyways? Pathetic.

Wouldnt surprise me at all if it came out that ESPN was burying him because of Craig James. Find it hard to believe that he could have that much stroke around Bristol but that seems to be the only explanation for everyone at ESPN overlooking everything to rail road Mike Leach like this. I heard Schlereth yesterday morning on Mike and Mike and it was embarassing how much he went off the rails to bury Leach.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"
