UL has the votes and will be invited to the ACC tomorrow.

Or so I read in a rumor, at least...

For real though, all conferences should just disband right now and then re-form as they please. This is getting ridiculous, especially for someone who's getting annoyed that the conferences are disregarding the geographic aspects of things.

man you're so right. i miss the old conferences so bad. it's like college football is addicted to change, and they just can't stop. it's really messing up college sports. there's only so many games you play per season, and with more new teams, you get new matchups replacing traditional matchups. conferences like the SEC and Big10 are getting so big. conferences weren't supposed to change this much. for a while it seemed like most people accepted the conference changes, but now with this latest wave of change finally people are starting to realize that this is truly getting ridiculous.

I wonder if the Big XII reaches out to UL now that the ACC is ready to offer membership. As far as the ACC goes, UL is a hell of a upgrade over Maryland

Louisville is one vote short after the first vote is what I'm hearing here in the Triangle. Duke and Wake and maybe UVA or UNC are the no votes right now.

EDIT: Louisville is good. Duke and UNC were the only no votes on the last vote

ACC threw out their academic standards on this one.

Not surprised they got called before Yukon.

I had a feeling that the ACC was going to let Louisville slide on the academics, they needed a solid team here. I personally love the addition of UL, I really did not want to see a quality program stay in the BE

What does academics have to do with this stuff? UL has been putting their money where their mouth is for 20 years. They deserve this.

Yeah and there was some concern about UCONN's basketball APR as well. Didn't help UCONN's case. U of L athletic department is overall in better shape and its for sure a paradigm shift from what the ACC has usually done

I'm glad it was UofL that was added, but hopefully the ACC is gone before they ever play a game

There are some schools in the ACC that don't flat out respect U of L academics. University Presidents make these calls, not athletic directors.
