BFD, what are they in, women's water polo? C'mon, everyone knows that in the NCAA only two sports matter and one matters a hell of a lot more than the other - ESPECIALLY in the UT-TAMU rivalry.

Watson Tiger didn't say "A&M is nothing in football compared to Texas". He said that "A&M are nobodies without the Texas-Rivalry", which I proved false.

The championships are in Women's Basketball, Men's Track, Women's Track, Equestrian.

That's one season. Do you really want to compare UT and TAMU football in recent history?

Depends upon how recent you want to talk. A&M had held up well against A&M in the last few games. In the overall history, Texas has a HUGE series lead, so the overall history is what I really don't want to talk about.

But a big series deficit against a rival doesn't mean a team is "nobody". A&M has winning records against several teams, including several rivalries.

By the way, would you like to talk about Texas A&M's 10-1 football series lead over Iowa State?

No, A&M isn't the only school upset about it, but they are the one throwing a hissy fit and threatening to run away because something isn't going their way.

"Something isn't going their way"? You call a huge unfair recruiting advantage for UT something that simply "isn't going A&M's way"?

By the way, they didn't threaten to leave the Big 12. A lot of their fans want them to, but TAMU officials didn't threaten to leave.

I worry about this dynamic as the Big XII goes forward, especially as it looks like A&M got their way. (For the record, I agree with A&M's position on those two issues - as, I would imagine, fans of all Big XII schools other than UT.)

Frankly, I don't want A&M to go to the SEC. A&M stands a much better immediate chance in the Big 12 than in the SEC.

Down the line what's to stop A&M or OU making the same threat if UT does something they don't like? To be frank if I am UT I'm already tired of the bull**** threats from A&M.

If you are really committed to the Big XII don't threaten to blow it up like small children.

It's so funny that you put the blame on A&M for any potential Big 12 breakup. If it happens you've got TU to blame, for their outrageous greed and power grabs.

Oh, you've also got Iowa State to blame for not standing up to Texas. A&M finally decided to do something about it after taking it for so long.

Obviously ISU like the majority of the conference is 100% committed to the Big XII. Acting up, holding meetings discussing your schools "future with the conference", and just generally acting like children is not how you hold a conference together. A&M was playing fast and loose with the Big XII and we were not happy about it.

It is kind of comical how much A&M hates Texas... they never miss an opportunity to criticize them.

Obviously ISU like the majority of the conference is 100% committed to the Big XII. Acting up, holding meetings discussing your schools "future with the conference", and just generally acting like children is not how you hold a conference together. A&M was playing fast and loose with the Big XII and we were not happy about it.

It is kind of comical how much A&M hates Texas... they never miss an opportunity to criticize them.

Mizzou would join the Big Ten at the drop of a dime with a invite, with or without Kansas. The Big Ten probably invites them once they find a viable 14th as well. So I laugh at anyone saying the teams are commited to the conference or that the 4 of ISU, KSU, KU and Mizzou "banded together".

Kansas has a shot at getting a Big Ten invite, but I only see it as a 16th member. KSU and ISU have no shot whatsoever, they bring nothing to the conference, not even new markets.

No Big XII school other than A&M has been in contact with another conference this summer. Unless you have facts proving otherwise, your statement means absolutely nothing.

In other words, Iowa State didn't like what Texas was doing (your own admission), but didn't do anything about it because they care more about their conference than ruffling any feathers.

But then again, I guess it's against Iowa State's interests to make Texas mad. Iowa State needs the Big 12 much more than Texas, Texas A&M, OU and OSU do.

I'm not sure you correctly read what I was saying. I had said that Iowa State, like the majority of the members of the Big XII, is 100% committed to the conference. I would say that majority includes ISU, Baylor, Kansas, K-State, Okie State, Mizzou, and Tech. Don't believe that UT, OU, or A&M really are. Out of those 3, OU is the most committed.

I think the ones you mentioned are committed, but if the other three all leave I doubt they will stay together in their new conference. Also, if a better offer comes knocking I bet any would jump ship, but I agree they are mostly committed to the Big 12... Just not 100% (90%ish)

Tim Brando is also getting into this mix rooting for the Big XII to break up. I don't get it.

Brando says he expects A&M, OU, Okie State and Mizzou to all go to the SEC by 2014. Pretty ridiculous, but the guy's a hack anyway, so what do you expect.
