I'm really not a fan of these super-conferences we are about to have. I guess it's only a matter of time though.

A&M has been done for a while now. They weren't going to go through all of this hub bub without knowing exactly where the bread was going to be buttered afterward. Anyone who has some common sense knows that most business deals are done months before the "official announcement" in secluded hallways, behind closed doors, etc. I can guarantee you Slive and the folks in College Station had the majority of this deal done way before it ever went public.

If that's true(and the Big XII's lawyers can prove it) both TAMU and the SEC would be in some serious legal hot water.

yeah Geography isn't going to be a problem with this. Heck A&M is only a 6 hour drive to Baton Rouge. That's actually closer than some of their opponents from the Big XII North.

SEC now in Texas is going to kill the Big XII recruiting. It's only a matter of time to me.

Texas A&M official release this morning;

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M University today officially notified the Big 12 Conference that the institution will submit an application to join another athletic conference. Should this application be accepted, Texas A&M will end its membership in the Big 12 Conference effective June 30, 2012.

EDIT: In regards to batting 1.000, what if hypothetically I was the first to post that they were leaving twice before, but sources soon thereafter denied those claims, but after the third time it actually becomes true. Would the two former proclamations count against me in any way? If they do count towards A&M switching allegiances, then I am indeed batting 1.000! Yay statistics!

I hope they decide soon. I'm going to be done with my 1st season in NCAA and I NEED TO KNOW WHO TO MOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But for real, I don't like the idea of having 13 teams in the SEC for any amount of time. Is Georgia Tech a viable option? I would imagine it's the same situation as Clemson and FSU, where Georgia will do everything they can to block it. I don't know what UF, UGA, and South Carolina can really do to block votes for any other teams from those states to join, but I guess we'll see.

If the SEC finds and agrees on a 14th team, I can see this thing happening imminently. Without that 14th team, I dont see the SEC bringing aTm in, I could be wrong(I am certainly able to admit it) but Clemson will not be that 14th team and neither will FSU.
