Naturally as they should own the top recruits in their own state as Arkansas should own their state. I meant compared to the rest of the SEC, Arkansas has done well imo recruiting Texas. Texas is a big state compared to Arkansas so there are alot of recruits to go around. And if those recruits want to play in the SEC, alot of them look at LSU and Arkansas. So now A&M will possibly have that edge as well.

As for the last question you claim that only Oklahoma and Texas own recruiting. So apparently you believe A&M doesn't. So how would Arkansas get better recruits out of Texas if they were in the same league as Texas if A&M is settling for 2nd tier recruits as you claim? I mean it should make no difference if you follow logic from your earlier statements.

Texas A&M is gone from the Big 12 and will be a member of the SEC shortly.

        Look forward to it.
You have been barking that it was a done deal for three weeks now when clearly it is not. Is it possible that aTm will join the SEC at some point? Yes, but it is far from a done deal.

Which goes for me asking this: When Oklahoma starts to leave Texas behind, will Texas be the only team recruiting the best from this state?
Well I base this pretty much off recruiting services. So obviously there will be misses in player ratings, but if you take a look at the recruiting services then no Boise St. doesn't sniff the top players from the state.

A&M is certainly recruiting better recently. For a while there, A&M did not win a head to head battle against UT for quite some time. There are tons of good football players in Texas. I should have phrased it better really.

Let's put it this way. Texas gets the recruit that they want in the state of Texas for the most part. They typically don't have many battles with A&M for recruits. That hasn't always been like that. Mack Brown has really changed that. A&M did very well in recruiting in the early to mid 90's and it showed. They performed very well while Texas did not. The fortunes changed for the last 12 some odd years and that reflects on the field as well.

As someone stated above, I did say should. Maybe that will change under Petrino in time. But to be fair Ziemba's parents were Auburn alums if I recall and Malzahn was a great hire for Auburn and they will continue to steal some talent from out state as long as he is there especially. Many people in this state love Malzahn and became minor fans of Auburn because he's the O.C. there.

Yup, as long as Malzahn and Trooper are at AU, they will continue to get big recruits from that state.

And you would be wrong in your argument. Boise St has about 10 kids on its roster from Texas. It relies far more on California for talent, 33 kids on their current roster.

I checked the recruiting rankings on Rivals for the State of Texas for the past 3 or 4 years and Boise St has 1 player that they recruited in the top 50 of the rankings.

But feel free to try again.

And you've been barking back the whole time. It's happening. You can receive your "I told you so" now or at a later date of your choosing.

Dont get uptight when you and/or others who will remain nameless (and root for Iowa State) decide to take shots earlier in the thread then have to eat crow at the actual outcome.

Simply commenting on calling this a done deal three weeks ago was very premature and not true at all. You really think they will get an invite and accept before this season is done?

They'll be playing an SEC schedule this time next year.

So Clemson should soon follow, since that's what Swami Drew said early on.
