Completely agree on the injuries. In my South Alabama dynasty with the injury rating changes, I ended up being down to three wide receivers not including the one I had redshirting for the latter part of the season. Luckily I'm a run-heavy team so it didn't kill me. Also had my fullback have a lot of minor recurring injuries early in the season, and lost my halfback for several games. I did bump up my QB because otherwise, I felt I would be down to my punter playing lol.

I do think it aids in injuries if you must play with it on, but I know for a fact that it isn't necessary in order to have injuries occur. In all my testing, I actually notice little difference.

That’s interesting. I know you’ve done far more experimenting so I’ll have to believe you on this. I only did two seasons without fatigue and got no injuries, save for a “rest of game” concussion here or there. To be fair, it wasn’t much different with fatigue on until I did the injury rating changes, so that’s probably more of the cause than anything.

It probably is the edits, but like I said, in all my time with fatigue on, I did notice more injuries happened when they are "out of the green" fatigue wise. But, for me, most of those were the temporary, in-game type injuries; 1-2 quarters at most. With fatigue off, I wouldn't say that there is an increase in the number of injuries, but it seems like I see those in-game injuries very rarely. When injuries do occur, it's either a multiple weeks injury or a concussion for the rest of the game, with the occasional in-game injury (maybe 1 or 2 per season).

Also, I feel like going to default has increased injuries pretty substantially. I don't know if it's some sort of "unseen" or "hidden" effects within the game taking place, or if it's, maybe, the fact that the tackle sliders are back up to 50, whereas most sliders sets have them a good bit lower to see broken tackles in the adapted set. Maybe they are hitting with full force? It could just be coincidence, but with fatigue off and this default approach, these are the most injuries I've seen without editing ratings. Multiple week injuries each year.

an outside the game issue regarding equipment, namely giant shoulder pads on lineman:

I have found that when editing a player, the bigger the "shoulder build," the bigger his pads are too. I recommend for OL, putting shoulder build at "0"

It doesn't make much difference in their look, but does make the shoulder pads smaller and more fitting for current times. They're still oversized, but not as bad lol

This has always been one of my biggest pet peeves. After inspiration from TarHeel with making players smaller, you can make them look much better! I came up with my own scale that I’ve messed with, and I have to say I love how the player models look and fit the field. I don’t have access to the editor, so I do it myself. But, if you can use the editor, I recommend making players smaller.

Very interesting read. Appreciate it! But I was mean scaling the players down to fit field better and appearance. I do a scale of dropping everyone by 60lbs and a height scale of...
                  5’5-5’6 = 5’5
                  5’7-5’8= 5’6
                  5’9-5’10=5’7
                  5’11-6’=5’8
                  6’1-6’2=5’9
                  6’3-6’4=5’10
                  6’5-6’6=5’11
                  6’7+= 6’

Really helps with the shoulder pad issue and player models. Especially the lineman. They don’t look so blocky anymore. Maybe just a personal preference, but I recommend it to anyone that has visual issues with the game.

I'm having trouble where the CPU never seems to call run plays.. I just played a game where the CPU threw 55 passes and ran the ball 10 times. Their run/pass slider was set at 55% pass. Anyone know how to stop this?

What is your defensive slider set to? Perhaps it was an air raid offense? Or is this consistent?

It’s a pretty consistent problem I’m having. Offensive style doesn’t seem to matter.

If you're jumping out to an early lead, more times than not, the CPU will give up on the run game. Another advantage, IMO, of having fatigue off. They don't give up on the run, and just overall do a better job of sticking to their true game plan and offensive style. You can be up multiple scores in the second half and a triple option team will keep running, as they would IRL. They won't give up and air it out until they just absolutely have to.

                                This is everything I do:

*Edit: 8-9 Minute Quarters, currently enjoying 8.
Default Heisman(USER and CPU FG Accuracy - 35, only change)/Fatigue Off

I just play with a few House Rules:

1 Ask Coach - Offense & Defense - One of the 3 given plays. This is in no way necessary though. Picking your own plays will still give you great results. This is just something that I have always done, since they made it available in the game. Kind of like I actually have a coordinator. *Edit: Also don't use any audibles or hot routes of any kind.

2 Stick with one player on D. Not sure if this would be necessary, I've just always liked the challenge of it, plus the way it really brings out the attributes of your other guys.

3 No "stop-n-pop" passing. Although it's an extremely entertaining part of our real life game, the CPU QB just won't do it. So, I don't either. Once the CPU starts scrambling, they stick to it. So, once I touch R2, my only options are to continue the run or throw it away. I allow myself the throw away because sometimes the CPU does that instant throwaway when they know the play is dead. I feel this makes things even.

4 My new way of handling the kicking game. I'm absolutely in love with this. I now switch teams and let the CPU kick my field goals for me. I don't think many people are aware, but you don't actually have to execute a play to switch teams back and forth. After you move the controller over to the other team, you can simply enter and exit Supersim without running a play and the teams will be switched. I set USER & CPU FG Accuracy to 35. This is a great setting. With the CPU doing all FGs, you really see the ratings shine. Even though it's technically always the CPU kicking, I went ahead and changed the USER setting as well, just in case it's one of those sliders that may slightly affect something else. And, it can't hurt anything. If Ask Coach says to go for it, but I want a FG, I just kick it myself.

5 I use Formation Subs to give my #2 HB 30% of the formations, which results in that percentage of the carries, roughly. I also do this for the CPU, each game, using the switch teams technique mentioned earlier, as to not miss any plays. No need to reset the CPUs subs either. They do it automatically.

                                6 Recruiting

1 star school = 1 star prospects that have me as top school + walk-ons + transfers.

2 star school = 1 star prospects that have me in their Top 3 + walk-ons + transfers.

3 star school = 2 star prospects that have me in their Top 5 and under + walk-ons + transfers.

4 star school = 3 star prospects that have me in their Top 10 and under + walk-ons + transfers.

                                5 star school = Any 4 star prospects and under + walk-ons + transfers.

                                6 star school = Any 5 star prospects and under + walk-ons + transfers.
