Re: CPU vs. CPU in offline CFM? (Madden NFL 16)

I think about stuff like an online league member watches a CvC game, is that game outcome now recorded. can they hop in like play now and tank it for a division team? or how does it affect XP if someone offline hops into a CvC game and balls out? I think ultimately having a mode that's a sports RPG AND having 100% user control is impossible so one will eat the other soon enough.

I don't expect cpu vs cpu to be back in the game this year, or next year. I think they will wait until they get off this RPG type stuff they have in the game.

I hope Pats workaround is still possible. Anyone know if you can still select 32 3rd string qbs?

It's not much of a workaround when you can't control any of your roster moves.

Not sure what beef EA Sports has against CPU vs. CPU in Franchise mode for their games. I prefer running my franchises that way. MLB: The Show allows it. As does the NBA 2K series. But for some reason, Madden and FIFA don't. I just don't see what's the problem with allowing it. Yeah, we are the minority, but does that mean you just don't do it because of that? smh

NHL 15 does it too. Madden developers can put it in. I'm even willing to bet they could put it in easily. They just won't? Why? Because they don't care too. All they care about is online play and MUT. Everything else is either secondary or unchanged. At least that's my opinion anyway. I'm sure there's plenty who feel differently. A minority is still a big chunk of people. Why ignore that?

You are correct. This is a conscious decision made by EA to NOT include a feature that many people have been asking for. It is not new development, just new implementation of current functionality.

Many of us have messaged and twittered the developers and they dismiss us every time so they are indeed conscious of it. On that, you are 100% correct.

I wish there was a hack so we could enable CPU vs CPU in CFM ourselves.

I don't believe there is a way because if so, someone would have posted some thing about it years ago.

Well I'm def. hoping they include it. Still haven't brought a new gen system just yet, would be great if CPU VS CPU was in franchise mode or a true coach mode. I'll take either at this point.

If most people "don't want it" then why do CPU/CPU posts like this pop up year-round, and especially every time we start getting the Madden news? Their excuses are lazy. Just because a great section of gamers enjoy playing MUT and H2H doesn't mean that including CPU/CPU mode is including it for the benefit of one random idiot down the street. It's still a sizeable chunk of people they choose to insult with their laziness.

When I play an RPG game that ships with online/PvP components, I rarely ever play online but yet I typically get a 100+ hour game that gives me the quality I'm seeking out of that title without ever stepping foot into the online world really. When I play Madden, I don't get that feeling typically. Instead, I feel like they just choose to cater strictly to the masses and turning over an inferior/incomplete product when it comes to CFM modes and features.

Exactly! Obviously people care and it is an easy fix. If I can do CPU vs. CPU with the workaround, why not just make some adjustments and fix it. That way, I can have full control of the rosters without having to select 32 3rd string QBs, use two controllers, and do it that way?

EA, I would appreciate it if you don't drag on the answer to this question like you have done in years past. Either you are putting it in or you are not. No need to give us hope by NOT giving us information and remaining silent on the issue until the game comes out. Kill our hope now or give us good news. One or the other.
