If I had to pay a fee for a CFM server I'd be more than willing if it were given the appropriate upkeep.

If it stayed how it currently is I would not be willing to pay for it.

Like it or not, I do believe that's where we're headed. And as Jess, and many others have iterated in here, I'd be willing to pay. The convenience of sitting at my desk and handling everything on DL trumps whatever monthly fee they might charge us.

Like you guys have been saying, I've never seen league activity as dead as it is this year. And I miss looking at the boxscores on GroupMe once the games are finished. Hope that EA and papi get something figured out relatively quickly.

Also, Papi by himself did a MUCH better job than who ever EA had working on their CFM website before. Why do you think they would do better now, just cause you pay? Last i checked i pay every year, just to play cfm , which is always riddled with issues and mediocre level improvements. I will walk away on principal if it comes to that. I hate greed.

That is my take on it as well. I never used DL, but if you had to pay for all of the extra features DL had vs EA website, then that would be justifiable (maybe).

But to make Everyone pay for basic features, such as viewing team roster and advancing, that we had for free prior is ridiculous.

Fifa 17 came out with an app. Are we missing something or asking to much as cfm madden players. Madden 17 came out August 24th ea sports posted that they're doing a companion app and nothing since. No update no eta . Absolute total darkness . Just seems completely strange that we still have nothing. I'm just so frustrated beyond words.

Yup your not the only one, but somehow we are being too demanding or unrealistic to think we should have the app by now......but all these other ea games have apps, so they clearly have people capable of making an app.Heck even full games.

The worst part about it is, absolutely NO communication with the community even on how its going, nothing. Knowing how important it is to us. That is the most disheartening thing about it all.Cant even give a real update, only link people back to the original post they made , almost 2 months ago.But somehow we are asking too much....

Tiburon has said they are working on it, and given their strong track record of post-release support for Madden they more than deserve the benefit of the doubt. Further, an EA Sports GameChanger has posted in this thread confirming that they are working on it more recently than the last official communication from Tiburon.

There is nothing else Tiburon can say to make people happy other than "it's done, go download it". Thus the radio silence.

Until then, we're beating a dead horse. Take it from someone who does mobile application development for a living - it's not something you just snap your fingers and you have what you want. It's complicated.

Yes , i get it, and its been very very well documented here, your a developer yourself. However EA is im sure, a much larger company than the one you work for. They make full games for their other console games as apps. So i am sorry if that leads me to think, surely they have the enough knowledgable and skilled people to make a companion app( not even a game), that is basically going to take what the CFM Website already did, and turn it into an app, with maybe 1-2 "new" things the website didnt do, but i highly doubt anymore than that.


While i dont think any of us thinks it could be done " in the snap of a finger" , i think many people find it hard to believe that they actually started on this " early in the dev cycle" as they have said they did.Of course we will never really know so i guess that makes that " pointless" , even though i believe its why its not ready now.

The real issue is, CFM always , always takes a back seat to anything else madden does. EA could have given enough resources to John to see to it , it got done in time or at least a month later than launch.I bet if it was for MUT it would have been done by now, and id put alot of money on that. Now i dont blame this on John , or even Rex . I blame the suits for it, because i know thats where the blame lies. Doesnt make it any more fun when leagues are struggling to keep peoples attention. Maybe if the mode itself was better done, that wouldnt be such an issue, but it is, just ask around. And please dont ask around those leagues or people who are "tight" or "close" with EA. Because i hear it from my own guys, other commisioners( some who have posted the same facts here) as well as other players in others leagues. They have about half the interest in their leagues as they used to. Im talking about guys thats been in same league for years and years and years.Being able to do things from the web to keep up with the league is imperative for online leagues.Its 2016 , not 1998.


Its very disheartening, when you keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt pre launch, and things keep "happening" year, after year after year after year, that just is beyond frustrating and im sorry I feel this way, but not voicing that , will never lead the company to producing a better game for its paying customers.

The price of the games has stayed the same over several years. Buying new games has never been cheaper with pre-order incentives.
