Any updates on CPU QB since EA Access is available?

This isn't a dig, but has anyone actually posted a series of CPU QB stats from played games?

I haven't read the entire thread, and I agree this is an issue, but it's hard to argue against screenshots of actual stats if someone with the game could start tracking. Please report any slider tweaks too.

It's been give and take for me. I've played 5 or 6 games on default All-Madden and the main constant has been that the CPU is way too accurate. I get that it's All-Madden but it'd be nice to see the CPU just randomly miss throws whether they be short or medium or whatever. That's sim to me. As it stands now it seems like the only way they miss throws is if they're on the run or under pressure and both of those scenarios seem pretty rare so far.

As for the statue issue it's been a consistent problem. I sacked Russell Wilson like 7 times and then Mike Glennon I think 8 times and the majority of them were because of it. I had a really nice play against the Falcons where I got pressure quickly and Ryan immediately rolled to his right and fired downfield for a completion. Makes me wonder if the AI QB is on a timer where once it gets past 2 or 3 seconds they stop reacting to pressure.

So these insane sacks was on All-Madden too?

I don't have the game and I'm on PS4 so no EA Access and from what I've SEEN so far I probably won't be getting the game on the 25th...this thread was made solely in response to the gameplay that the Gamechangers were permitted to post early.

That said from the 45+ page impressions thread that is confirming this issue (moreso the severity of it) it looks to be as bad as it's ever been. Guys throwing for 80 and 90% yet getting sacked 7 and 8 times per game.

I would love to see some guys who have EA access post some stats or if Sliders or traits help. Thats going to be what determines whether or not I get this game (Have it pre-ordered and I really really want to).

Yeah, I've played every game on default All-Madden. Just played the 49ers and Hoyer was 18-22 and I sacked him 8 times. It was a mix of good sacks and bad sacks though but the game I played earlier against the Seahawks was pretty much all bad sacks.

I like Madden because I don't enough about the NFL to know what is and isn't sim.

But I know enough to know that CPU QBs hitting 85% of passes regardless of who it is and never moving out of the pocket is terrible.

This issue basically decides whether or not I get the game and for the 3rd year in a row, Ill pass.

Moreover, there were several sacks in that 14 minute clip, but only the one looked bad.

No one is saying that the statue looking QBs is a good look. But since no one has played the game, they are just picking and choosing what to complain about out of videos, but are failing to put the plays in the proper context of the whole game.

It won't be long. We will all see more soon.
The statue looking Qbs are clearly a result of too many shot pass plays being called. This play always needs the WRs to go deep which is why the qbs are sideways standing like statues. What needs to be adjusted is the cpu playcalling. If you look at the gameplans the cpu uses for each team you'll see that (1) entirely too many runs are called on 1st and 2nd down and (2) entirely too many shot pass plays on 1st and 2nd down

What about adjusting Coach Schemes and not using Vertical Passing? Change the CPU coaches to use West Coast instead?

Is there a way when you take control of 32 teams that your stat ticker doesn't show your username?

It's a bummer this is a issue as they have really seemed to clean up slot of the other bothersome issues. (Fatigue, injuries, subs, lineplay to an extent...still needs a overhaul, sim stats)

But if QBs all play the same and all have this statue problem, what's the point?

I'll stick to Front Office Football.

You are absolutely correct. The assigned playbooks are a giant problem with the game. Let us assign playbooks to the CPU and the community will mostly fix this issue. You would also be able to have teams really play way different from each other. We need more options to play how we want. I thought this was year of the user.

I was watching SimFBallCritic's Madden 18 podcast last night and he had quite a few people speaking about the game, and they were all talking about the broken zones but they were saying that the QB AI play and the running game was great and how the QB's would move around the pocket and take off running.

This happens so rarely I'm not sure what they were talking about.

Does adjusting those game plans actually work? Can you do this for the CPU in CFM?
