    I don't think there is a fix for the cpu running game. I put run blocking at 80 (I play on all-madden), so pretty much if they get a clean hole they could run for a TD. The problem I see is that any time the cpu hits that hole they decide they want to do some kind of juke. It's unreal. Like there are soooo many bugs or just flat out head scratching moments in this game, that I wish I kept madden 18.

    I can run just fine and I have my run block at 0. I'm sure someone said it, but even though they tell you to not hit the turbo like in old Madden's, this year you have to. You see a hole, hit the turbo button twice. On the second hit, hold it down, you will hit that hole hard.

    It just seems they really messed up the cpu AI in a few area's, not just running.

      Yeah...EA stock ratings are out of whack...Jason McCourty CB for NE is rated 87...one behind Tre’Davious White of BUF & 4 behind Marshawn Lattimore ...both rated near the top CBs by PFF....he barely made it through training camp

        I'm shocked this wasn't mentioned in the reviews. I literally can't do anything to get the cpu to run for a decent amount of yardage.

        I'm playing on very slow, does that matter?

          It may, but even when I tried fast the results were the same.

          If CPU could just run on All Pro, I could overlook the other issues, this is one I cannot. Sucks the fun out when computer team is on demensional. Hopefully something down the line helps.

            Agreed. I don't need everything to be perfect to be entertained but having the cpu only gain 2 yards a carry kills it for me. How are other people dealing with it?

            I tried it on Arcade setting which actually seemed to help but other aspects went a little haywire (I'll try tweaking some settings and see what I come up with).

              Yes. Play on normal for a better experience right now. Slow and very slow are broken right now. With some slider help I've gotten decent running from the cpu on normal speed.

                I'm using Armor and Sword's sliders and the accompanying roster that has edited a bunch of the traits. I'm finally seeing a decent computer run game. Some games the computer is thrashing my defense and others my defense is shutting things down.

                    In my first franchise season McKinnon had around 975 yards and averaged 3.9 a carry. I'm 5 games into the second season and he's averaging 5.0. A couple of monster games and shut down in the rest. I'm on default all madden sliders.

                    Although I'm getting good overall results I think there's still an issue in that the DT who lines up closest to the C completely controls the run game. They warp shed at will and are quick as cats. They can run down the HB anywhere inside the box. You can move to get them set up on the outside shoulder of the blocker and when you cut behind they just do this warp spin move and nail you. They also beat double teams at will.

                      I’m using matt10’s on AM and have good results too. Sometimes I shut down the CPU, others not so well. I’m yet to allow a 100 yard rusher this season (5 games), but Ajayi had 76 on like 9 carries and Drake had 60 on 14. I’ve allowed over 100 to a team a few times.

                      I see the wacky run AI sometimes, but for the most part it’s a non issue

                        The cpu hasn't been able to run consistently against me, but it's numbers are ok thanks to the fact that it will bust a long TD run almost every game.

                            It's even more egregious on inside zone split. The TE should pickup the backside edge player, instead they run right by them and said backside edge player gets a TFL
