I’m using default all pro. Be sure to go into your coach adjustments and change blocking to “aggressive”. It comes with an increased chance of holding being called but it’s worth it for the improved running game.

I'm thinking another problem is that linemen are not progessing well. I'm in my 4th year of dynasty and the entire league has maybe 15 90 rated offensive linemen total. DE's alone have like 20 90 ovr. So some editing to progression might also help. My DLine consist of 2 90 plus guys, an 88, and a 77, so it makes sense that they would consistently blow up the runner. At 75 runblock sliders opponent teams are avg like 3 ypc on me. But if their line is trash...

I feel like sprint is broken. After some playing around with a 99 at every stat RB and even messing around with speed threshold. He never kicks it up to what you'd see in a game after the first line of defenders. No matter what double clicking the button or single it always seems to be a jog when he was getting chased down from behind from much slower DTs and DEs. They've definitely messed with something, but I can't exactly put my finger on it.

After many more games, if they can patch the CPU RB from juking/spinning so they head straight into an opening, that would fix the issue for the CPU run game. I see clear holes that would net at least 5-7 yards but they end up spinning/juking and are tackled for a loss or 1-2 yards at most.

Offensive lineman should be rated low in respects to the rest of the roster. Don't compare an 80 overall lineman to a 90 overall receiver. Lineman are rated differently thrna skill position receivers and that is fine because they are two different positions.

Example. Kyle long is one of the best guards in football and has made the pro bowl 3 of the last 5 years. He is a 79 overall. Does that mean he is less valuable compared to a 85 overall running back? Absolutely not. Is he more valuable to other players at his position that are rated lower? Absolutely. You have to treat each position group differently this year. If I draft a 75 overall guard or tackle in the fourth round this year I am stoked. That is a potential starter right there.

I signed a FA left tackle in in my franchise who was rated an 83 and couldn't figure out why he was costing me so much money. Then I went to the ratings tab and realized he was the 9th best tackle in the league.

You have to evaluate each position group differently his year and I like that. You are correct howverein that offensive lineman do not progress as quickly this year. What I do is bump the experience slider for all fullbacks, guards, centers, tackles, kickers and punters to 125. They still don't progress very fast but at least the have a shot compared to the rest of the league.

A good example is like mcglinchey on the 49ers. He is a 78 overall star or superstar potential I can't remember. Ina. Text franchise I ran he increased 1 overall every year (with training. You have to i sividually train your o lineman with potential or they will never progress). By year 5 he was rated 83 overall and was considered the 5th best RT in the league

I think you’re a bit off base here. Every position is rated based on their key attributes. There’s no reason lineman should be rated lower than other positions, because when it comes to their overall, the blocking skills determine it. Tyron Smith isn’t a 90+ overall because he’s fast and can catch. He’s rated that high because he can block like a beast and is strong as hell. It weighs their attributes based on position.

It’s definitely an issue if there’s tons of 90+ DE’s but almost no tackles to match them. That means, generally, those DE’s will blow by every tackle. I see it now in my franchise. Any time Demarcus Lawrence faces a sub 85 tackle, he gets multiple sacks in the game. At some point, if DE’s progress faster than the O-Line, the will entirely dominate the game.

I’ve been using TDawgs Xp sliders. They seem to be working well

Try putting the ball carrier adjustment to aggressive, that might help a but I get nervous when putting my blocking to aggressive because then I get holding penalties left and right

To be fair good lineman are harder to find than ever due to the spread game being so prevalent in the high school and college levels.

Looking at launch ratings there are 17 OL that are 90+ overall compared to 21 Defensive Lineman or Pass Rushing OLB.

I was tying to put my finger on what seemed like an imbalance in the talent level of the OL and DL in the base rosters, and this is a good way to state the case. It seems like there are lots of starting OL with mediocre blocking ratings and OVR ratings, but not as many starting DL and edge guys with mediocre ratings.

FWIW, That Franchise Guy's roster has much better balance to the ratings, with lower block shed in particular for lots of guys who aren't stellar run defenders, and the game plays a lot better.

I think most of the issue is with how EA rates players. There are too many guys on D who are good at too many things (more than they are IRL). And there's too great a talent disparity between average base-roster OL and average base-roster DL/Edge guys.

I am off base? Last time I checked I didn't create the base rosters my friend. If I am off base then why is the 9th best right tackle rated 83 overall while the 9th best receiver or running back is rated higher? You are wrong. Take your L and sit down.

Wow, I see you took that very personal. Wasn’t my intent. I was just pointing out that your take that lineman should be rated lower than position players isn’t quite right, because different attributes are weighted. That’s all. No need to get so worked up. I’ll just leave it at that and we can agree to disagree.

That’s a pretty good point. At least at launch they’re generally close, 17 OL compared to 21 DL. The worry seems to be that gap widening over multiple seasons.

Any solution to having the CPU run on me? I'm playing with the Browns on all madden, cpu run slider up to 98 and they're still not getting 3 ypc.

                                Any suggestions?
