Poor choice of words on my behalf, my apologies.

Either way if it was system generated, or user downloaded, if it was done pre-patch it will be corrupt.

Got it, makes sense! Thanks for the confirmation. I'll probably restart franchise completely (will have to go into the PC franchise editor and complete all edits again, sheesh!)

I haven't played in a while (PC) and I just updated and played a game. What are those arc's that appear over AI receivers no when the ball is thrown? Also how do I turn them off.

Also the graphics seem to have been downgraded a bit for some reason, just very odd.

Change classic passing to a precision option, then underneath turn off the 2 visible options to hidden then finally change back to classic.

In my eyes it has far too many issues, so hard pass.

Like I said before. Sorry to hear. The rest of us will enjoy the game.

who's us? lol. Look, we're told this is a "simulation" football game and not a soul can say that it is. It's our only option, unfortunately, and I chose to not purchase a lie. again, IMO.

Agree, as I stated before, everyone has different ideas on what is simulation to them.

Just because one person draws a line in the sand, doesn't mean others can't go below

or above that line.

One person's "simulation" is another person's arcade and everything in between.

Re: Madden NFL 24 Patch Fixes Draft Class Issues, Slow UI, Franchise Mode & Much More

When folks make a personal decision to not purchase a game because they knew it would not make them happy, I applaud that and wish more people in the gaming space would do the same. I also don't think people have a right to question that (even with thinly-veiled phrases like "sorry to hear that"). Any time a person makes a choice to not buy a game because they know they will not enjoy it, we should be happy for that person.

That said, sitting here in a forum talking about the same game that you intentionally did not buy because you knew it would not make you happy can undermine your choice. Seriously, you'll find far more happiness if you spent your time playing and discussing the games that DO make you happy versus wallowing about the ones that don't (even if you wish it did). And yes, I am 100% speaking from personal experience here.

Not to sound overdramatic, but it's a bit like a gaming equivalent of wallowing about an ex-significant other that you broke-up with vs moving forward and finding someone that can make you happy.

Eventually, a person needs to make peace with their choice and move on. And I hear it now, "Geez Josh, you're being all serious...it's just a video game forum". And yes, I GET that. But, I also know that for many gamers, myself included, where gaming is so important as a tool to emotional well-being, negativity about gaming itself can quickly manifest itself in other areas of ones life.

I know this is super off-topic for this thread, but with some of the convo here, I felt it was important to bring up.
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

So would y’all recommend the game for a strictly offline franchise player now that the draft class issue is fixed? I haven’t bought the game since Madden 20 or 21, I know gameplay has improved but my big concern is the cpu not playing rookies due to their overall being lower than a vet so they never play and don’t accumulate XP

I’m sorry, but if I like the game I’m going to defend it. Especially if someone is saying it isn’t a simulation. This madden is the best its been in years on the field. So yes. I am sorry to hear that some folks don’t feel the same, only after spending a few hours on a trail to determine they don’t like it.

I’m trying to decide between this or NHL 24. I saw the disc version is on sale at Amazon. I’m an offline franchise player as well

I like this game and am hoping to get 6-10 years of franchise before the next one comes out but this isn't a simulation of what we see on Sundays (just based off penalties alone and idc for penalties) but as I was waiting for the draft bug fix last couple weeks, I played a lot of 2k5, Madden 05, 08 & 11 and there are things those game do better than 24 with regards to gameplay/presentation/customization/coaching etc.

There shouldn't be issues people coming in and saying they didn't buy the game or whatnot but I do get some issue with people who haven't played 24 saying it sucks, at least play it (and not for 5min) before coming to that conclusion

I agree with this. After this update and small tweaks to sliders, this is the best madden I've played in terms of gameplay. I have the disc version and probably won't update with future updates since most updates tend to break something while fixing things. I always see things about the lack of penalties. I personally wish NFL had less penalties so that doesn't bother me. I think the variance of how people view this game is very high. Some people like it and some people hate it. If I was going to buy this game reading this form, I don't know if I would've bought it. I guess the game plays differently for everyone.
