Latter, and partially for the former. I put a 5 week injured OG Will Fries on IR and when he returned there was no function to bring him back to my active roster. I had to put him on my PS and resign him in order to bypass that. I believe only pre-existing injuries are able to be put back on your roster before the season is over

Glad to see all of the new helmets get in. The Jets throwback helmet looks fantastic. I'm glad they fixed the stripe on the pants (it was far too thick) and fixed the issue with last names not showing on the nameplate, plus they got th correct socks in there.
With the draft class issue fixed I'm finally ready to start my franchise tonight."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

*I'm not at my ps5 so not sure if its a player with no injury or no "weeks out" remaining but either way there are players that sit on the CPU Injured list for the entire season (See: Kyler Murray, Jonathon Taylor).Comment

Noob question - Does anybody know how to remove guys that are on the IR but with no injury? This is with pre-existing injuries on with a Wk 1 roster.

Players who are IR'd due to pre-existing injuries are considered to have been placed on IR during the preseason, and NFL rules require any player IR'd during preseason stay there the entire season. This restriction on preseason IR is correctly implemented in all recent Madden games.Comment

Ahh that makes sense. I do wish you could manually add injuries like MLBTS - that would be a pretty sweet workaround and I think a much welcomed feature for franchise players that want to create storylines / mimic the IRL season.Comment

So do we know if the new abilities not being in franchise is an oversight, bug, or design choice?

Re: Madden NFL 24 Patch Available Today - Patch Notes
1. If something is overpowered / broken the online community will find it almost immediately (and this is who the Madden team focuses on most in regards to feedback, as they pay the bills so to speak).
2. I'd imagine it's easier to fix something in a single game mode and then roll it out via a roster update or something similar as opposed to full release -> something is bugged, broken etc -> having to isolate it in all game modes without breaking something else.
3. If there is a roster update coming this week then its hard not to assume that the new abilities will be added to the selected players when this update rolls out as I highly doubt they will take affect on previously installed rosters / currently existing franchises.
I'd anticipate these being added via roster update at a later date once they solidify the abilities / gather feedback OR roll out their weekly roster update with rating / ability changes as they have done in the past.
OR ALTERNATIVELY (and not surprisingly) this was accidentally excluded from the other game modes such as franchise.Last edited by ML; 10-04-2023, 04:24 PM.Comment
