Agree with what you said, but I just feel the timing is off. If these threads would have started last August/September, the developers could of reacted as they were beginning to work on 10. 10 is almost ready to go gold and just minor tweaks if anything will happen between now and gold.

After 10 drops, let's evaluate 10 and let Ian and company know how we feel.

Same way I feel. Nothing wrong with posting videos stating the problems with the game. Madden 09 could have a series based off it's issues, but they're worthless imo now. When 10 comes out the video guys can go back to their dissecting, at least it might pay off then.

I agree with TOMB when no one wants to show the positive of madden and how it relates to real life.

you cant blame anyone for the negative threads and videos with constructive criticisms. you just have to deal with but we as consumers should be posting more of these threads in operationsports and the EA forums. we have to hold EA accountable and since we cant do it in sales we have to do it by nitpicking and constantly putting a thorn in EA sides till they listen to us and hope they listen

I came to this board looking for improvements with 10, what I saw was nothing about game play issues I had. Rather cleat colors, waving towels, presentation, etc. I could no longer sit idle and expect somebody else to bring the issues I had up for me. People that watch my videos will have the game play issues fresh in their minds when they play 10, and hopefully look for some of them.

Any time I would have chose to start making them would have been the wrong time. If the issues aren't fixed, we are just starting another viscous cycle.

I guess I don't see the logic behind buying a new game and immediately trying to figure out the flaws rather than finding ways to enjoy it if it isn't immediately enjoyable.

If it was after August of 08, that is when Ian submitted a wish list for forum members to give the top 25 needs for 10.

90% of the wish list was implemented for 10.

I am not defending anything. I've talked with Rmoody several of times and I even admitted that his videos were spot on. I'm sure everyone wouldn't want Madden to have many flaws, but you seem to have a bigger problem with me than Madden. Heck, I like Rmoody's videos and they give good constructive criticism. I don't find anything wrong with being positive. Also, I really haven't seen the Rocket Catch and I hope it stays that way. I dislike the Rocket Catch as much as the next guy.

Matt I dont have a personal problem with you. It would be foolish and immature for me to feel that way.

I just find it crazy how often and how hard you go into defending Madden, but I apologize if I made you upset.

I feel at this point in time Madden deserves all the negative comments and videos it has been receiving. Until Madden can prove other wise it will continue. Well the demo is releasing soon, and things can either get very sweet in these forums for Madden or extremly ugly.

trust me I want it to be sweet in here for them.

To me "Wish List" is things you want, extra bonus to improve the feel and experiance in game. I think its hard, maybe if not impossible to look at the examples that Apex, Gaither or myself lay out and tell anybody its acceptable game play. For months I have down right begged somebody to show me this type of game play in real life. Not one taker.

I want to buy a game that works, I want players to react properly and I sure dont think it needs to be wish.

The key will be was it implemented [correctly]. Although it's sometimes portrayed as if Tiburon just started listening to fan concerns, the fact is dating back as far as I can remember there has always been a person or two that comes back from Community Day with a wishlist showing that they have addressed x-number of concerns. Except this year, because they didn't have the usual Madden foot soldiers attending the event.

The question is always how were concerns addressed. For example, I remember the year they had too many of those head down-no look one-handed catches occurring and people complained, so they fixed it. Their fix... add mid-air collisions lol. Even funny thinking about it. Granted, that was a few years back, but every year there was always at least one guy that came from CD and proclaimed this/this/and this were all addressed by the dev team. I'm sure if someone goes back to last year, they'll see a wishlist and they'll see Tiburon addressed x-number of concerns on it. Addressing concerns doesn't necessarily guarantee that they've been fixed to the degree necessary.

Hey Road, what guys like Apex and RMoody are not just saying, but SHOWING with visual evidence that is totally undeniable, is that the game, at its core, the most basic elements are simply broken. It doesn't matter how many features they add on top of that core, or how much they try and tune that core, if the core is rotten its time to change it.

EA Tiburon does a GREAT job at making Madden players focus on the 2 digits after "Madden NFL". 10, 09, 08, 07 and so on are all built on the same code. Each year they tweak and tune, and add features, but the game at its core hasn't changed.

I don't know how anyone can sit there and honestly say after watching actual Madden 10 GAMEPLAY footage that Ian himself posted against Donny, that that game looks substantially different than Madden 09. It just doesnt. Will 10 be "better"? I would hope so, but the point is its basically the same game year in and year out.

After watching these videos im of the mind we will not see a better playing game until Tiburon starts over. Now don'y jump to conclusions here people. Everyone ASSUMES that building an entirely new game is a negative. Just not so. If the new game they build is more advanced in physics, AI, animations, basically just an overall better game/engine/engines...whatever, it will be alot better than throwing coats of paint on an old, dated clunker.

Im not here "hating", im telling you that you just will not find a bigger fan of this franchise than me. I just have to be honest and call it like it is. Watch not only this run blocking video, but the "Situational awareness" video RMoody put up, its disgusting comparing the two games. Again, i always played Madden over 2K, Gameday, Joe Montana, Mike Ditka, Blitz, sports talk football, you name it....i was always playing Madden. Its just time to breathe new life into this game and franchise.
