Good sliders, but too hard for me.
Well as challenging as you think they are, they still fall into the realm of the human and CPU not acting intelligent. The passing numbers are too low which results in the lack of out routes because the db's jump the routes.

But here is where it comes down too. I am more of an all pro kind of guy. I never liked the flow of all madden. I built these with the intention of playing on the all pro setting and with the broadcast camera angle.

I played about 5 games tonight . 2 with the bears and 3 with packers. With my sliders, the game plays really well. All 5 games were close and most of all I never felt cheated by the CPU play.

thanks for trying. maybe 15-20 Qb accuracy is better for madden 12. it worked well for me in madden 11 tho, I throw a lot of quick passes so maybe thats why. all-pro is just too easy for me after playing so many games lol I'll work on it more and see what I would come up with.

        Hey Celg,

I've not bought Madden since 07 for reasons I don't need to go into. 2k5 did it all for me and even though the graphics are obviously dated, I felt it was another roster update on 2k for me this year. Then I tried your sliders and used them as a foundation. They are excellent - well done. I'm an ok player, don't mind following the gameplan and gameflow and am simply looking for sound game animation that shows intuitive players and "suspends reality" for a couple of hours. I also want slider adjustments that aren't too difficult to follow or update. I have therefore put all CPU attributes at 100, reduced all Player attributes to 50, put speed threshold at 90 and placed the game speed to 'very slow' (the 'slow' setting still had a lot of sliding). As simple as this is, the result are great. After 5 games, I'm struggling to pick up any morphing, sliding or pre-determined animations, even though we all know they are still there.

The only 2 consistent issues I still see are movement of the ball just before the QB releases and early movement of the ball before the kicker connects on field goals/PATs.

I know 'very slow' will be too easy for many people and that's understood, but I feel I have total control, everything is weighted well (especially foot planting) and I can appreciate the game better. If it gets too easy I will simply reduce the Player attributes a little more.

        Thanks again.

Suggestion, could you update your first post with latest settings, so people will not have to search all the posts to figure out where you are?

I don't know about the very slow speed. Your theory does hold water but overall, the game is far too slow for realism. You are also not taking into consideration that the game needs to play like the real thing with stats. I find the game to be too slow. Slower speeds are meant for players that are not quick enough to make judgement.

I was tweaking default 50 sliders on the retail game but I saw this and decided to try it. The first thing I noticed was how slow the kick meter was. This made me think that on all madden it has the CPU at 50 and Human at 25. Then I tried all 0 sliders and the kick meter goes super fast. Passing and fumbling are sad so I bumped QBA, Fum, and Int up to 20. That's where I'm starting my sliders.

It looks like this year lowering human actually raises the difficulty.

Its going to be an All-Madden gameplay if you keep each of the USER total categories at 75 or lower. If you go above that the kicking meter will go slow and the gameplay with be All-Pro.

                  Bears @ Titans
                  Steelers @ Jets

Had amazing games with these teams. But....there's no reason for me to display stats because these type of slider adjustments only helps with the gameplay and not actual stats. I had 190+ rushing with Forte. He had two big plays 50+ each. Same with Green, he broke out a lot. Reason why I say slow is better than very slow, it gives you a better NFL Sunday feeling than watching instant replay on slowmo when you have very slow setup. That's just my 2 cents on speed.

Correct me if I'm wrong. You said:

                  Human Sliders: 65
                  CPU Sliders: 100
Speed: Slow <---a lot better than very slow
                  Threshold: 100

Speed threshold on 100?! Doesn't that mean that DTs are just as fast as WRs?

That's what I'm saying. I believe last year we had the speed at normal and threshold at 0. Some had the thresh at 45.

No it just means that the difference in separation is minimal as opposed to 50. I tried my sliders on the retail version. I like the way they played. The retail plays much smoother than the demo. On that note I noticed 2 things.

                        1. my sliders play excellent on the broadcast view

                        2. I might change the user to 50 and the CPU to 75. I like the slow speed and the threshold at 100.

In the next days I will work on fatigue and stamina and injuries and penalties .

I'm not trying to sound bias on speed because I'm a Bears fan. I don't think a linemen or linebacker should be able to catch Devin Hester when he blows right by them. Very slow on - 0 threshold sounds about right. That's a good enough gap to separate the fast from the slow.

No. I have noticed enough separation with Hester. The threshold is in conjunction to the slider set. High numbers means easier (realistic ) Play, the threshold has to be close to keep it competitive .

I would love to know how the difficulty works. Are you saying if the CPU is 100 and the human is 75 or lower it is all madden? I put both sets at 0 and the kicking meter was the fastest I've seen it yet but I haven't done a lot of testing. Isn't human at 25 on default all madden? I just want to find a base where I can start from.

Sorry about jacking your thread. Maybe we should start a new one for this.

25 is default madden and anything under is like highschool lay. Literally! Ever seen Tom Brady or Payton Manning throw ducks and miss targets on every pass play? Try it at 0.
