I would take him for any price. Seeing him finish his career in Tennessee would be a storybook ending IMO.

At this point, I don't really consider Miami or Tennessee to be contenders in this. It's down to Arizona and Denver, in my eyes. And because every radio station and website is saying it should be Denver, and I'm a Denver fan, that means it'll be Arizona.

What would be the cherry on top to that would be if he changed his number to 16 if he signed with the Titans, since he was number 16 in college at Tennessee. Plus, Kenny Britt has 18 already, and nobody on the Titans has 16 lol. Also, then Britt wouldn't have to change numbers

If Manning wants 20 million a year at this point then he doesn't give a flying **** about winning.

Which team do you want to see in primetime more? Arizona, Denver, Tennessee, or Miami?

Give me Denver. Miami would be fine too, actually.

I'd take Arizona if it meant a Manning to Fitz connection.

I am certainly hoping that Bud Adams' "blank check" (heard that from Schefter) will generate some more interest from Manning. Plus adding Hutchinson to go with Big Country Stewart and Roos would be a nice line. Would be quite the logjam at QB, though. Not to mention he is an icon in Tennessee. Only place on Earth with so many people named Peyton..

As a Titans fan, I am very surprised that they are going after him and abandoning Mario Williams.
                I'm serious with this.

If Peyton signs with Tennessee, I pray that Pete Carroll calls the Titans' brass and asks what it would take to get Jake Locker in a trade.

It would probably cost a lot, but Jake Locker as the Seattle Seahawks starting QB? Yes, please!

...and yeah, I know it wouldn't happen. But signing Manning means that Locker could become expendable. Or not. I don't really know, but if Manning signs for three or four years, Locker will be ready to take over the reins in Tennessee if he proves to be the right man for the job. If it's possible that he could be dealt though, I hope the Seahawks find a way.

I agree, Denver or Miami as far as that question goes.

But as to who he actually signs with, I think it is going to be either Tennessee or Denver. I don't lean either way but I think it is one of those two and if it isn't I'd be shocked.

I agree with you that Locker in Seattle would be pretty cool. Same type of storybook ending as Peyton in Tennessee. But yea, it would cost them..

I would really hope that Locker would want to learn behind one of the all-time greats for the next few years in a Rodgers/Favre-like situation. I really liked what I saw from him at the end of last season. I'm not a big fan of Hasselbeck.

I just want this to all end so we can get an answer. I can't take it anymore!

I have noticed all four teams really in the running haven't done anything in free agency yet as far as signing anyone.

I take that as a sign all four think they still have a good chance at Peyton.

Now way I see them letting Locker go at any price. Can't see a team giving away a QB they saw as a franchise centerpiece less than a year later. Adams said it himself, "(Peyton's) got 2-3 years left at a high level." Even he doesn't see this as a long term move. Plus, there's no guarantee Manning makes it through 16 games this year.

I agree with your first post, though, on Mario Williams. Can't believe they're not going at him with everything. Manning's a storybook-kinda deal, but I dare say Williams would wind up paying greater dividends.

Honestly, I don't think Manning would be worried about getting paid. Any team willing to chase Manning should have the understanding of his price tag. Which makes me boggle a bit at the Cardinals and what they're going to do. So with Bud Adams dropping the "blank check" statement, I don't believe Manning cares that much. He makes enough money as it is, Manning wants a Super Bowl ring. These teams need to sell Manning on why he's a fit and why he's the last piece of the Super Bowl puzzle. To go to Manning and say "I'll pay you whatever you want," I think Peyton is going to brush that aside.

Personally I think it'd be a bit silly to trade Locker unless they can get a king's ransom for him. If Manning's injury issues crop up and he has to miss games than the Titans would be in the lurch so to speak.

That's all assuming Manning goes to the Titans.

Cut bait, stop Manning from stringing along the Broncos to lose another day in FA.

Cool idea at first is now just annoying to me with this whole thing, not only for the Broncos either.

And this is what is annoying: NFLN reporting Manning holding up a deal for Mario Williams with the Broncos. Cut the damn line and go Broncos.

I agree but kind of hard to cut the line when Manning will probably go down as one of the greatest Free Agent signings ever. Hard to just cut the line and forget about it.
