That's the story from the actual news site, which I got from a link on ProFootballTalk, which was posted this morning.

The part about the policy I got from PFT.

But I pretty much agree that you bring a big *** banner like that to an opposing team's stadium, and whatever happens is gonna happen. It's one thing to represent your team and you should feel safe enough to do so by wearing a jersey or other apparel. But a big ole banner? You're inviting people to mess with you and your stuff.

You will not catch me in Philly with a Bills sign when they play later this year. I value life.
Well yeah, I have a friend who is a Packer fan living in Chicago that goes to a few Bears games per year. He doesn't wear Packer gear there anymore because he was heckled pretty good early on.

The hell they need to talk to Cam for when he didn't break any rules?

I hope the team is planning on apologizing because they don't owe him anything and neither does Cam.

So, if he didn't know the about the written policy prior to the game, and was told at the game it was fine to hang, who is at fault?

Maybe I'm confused and not getting the story right on all angles?

Edit- I see thaima1shu point, good point!

Couple of seasons ago Shady McCoy did the something very similar to a sign that Redskins fans had in Philly. I don't remember it being this much of a story at all to be honest.

It should just be common sense. If you're going to an opposing team's stadium and bringing something like a huge flag/banner, don't get surprised if something happens to it. Hell if anything I would think it'd be a cool *** story to tell people that Cam Newton specifically came and took it away instead of just some regular fan next to you.

Rex Ryan will have IK Enemkpali act as a team captian Thursday night against NYJ. Part me finds humor in the decision, but the adult side finds this move embarrassing. Go Jets.

This is the problem I have with Rex. He's a giant child who can't be trusted. But Rex will do what Rex does and when he leaves Buffalo with a .400 winning percentage someone will land one hell of a defensive coordinator.

Todd Bowles in 10 games has shown he's 10x the coach Rex will ever be.

Eh...That's Rex being Rex. It's funny, he makes a great decision during the bye week to give the players the week off so they can heal up and then follows it up with a childish thing like this. He's never going to be a mature coach no matter how hard he tries to clean up his act.

This is something that every coach does these days to the point that its pretty much SOP for the bye week.

True, the announcers made a big deal of it during the game yesterday though.

I like the job Bowles is doing, but he's 5-3 with his best win being against a struggling Colts team.

Rex has gone to 2 AFC championship games with Mark Sanchez at QB.

Bowles might be a better coach but he definitely hasn't proven that yet.

If I'm Todd Bowles, am I bad person for making Geno a team captain for this game?

On the field, yes you are right he hasn't accomplished what Rex has so there was some hyperbole on my part. But, I still think he has shown he's a better HC than Rex thus far in his career.
