The Canadian Gaming Association has done a lot to get slots and casinos into Canadian race tracks so if they're so anti-daily fantasy sports well...That's another nail in the coffin as it were.

Don't know the exact wording of the law, but this could be an interesting situation. He probably did not have the intent to incite the dog, but it could still have that effect.

Normally that would not make any sense, but a football player hyping up for a game is not a normal situation.

Possibly, but the intent is determined by the officer, not the offender. I don't know any reason to bark at a dog other than to get it to bark back at you, which is very often followed by a bite.

Intent is the necessary word though... this was being compared to yelling at an officer. The reply was that being a problem when done with intent to incite violence. Not having the "intent" is a very different thing.

We're still talking about a player hyping himself up before a football game, right? The best lawyer in the world couldn't convince a jury that he'd switch his focus to try to get a dog to bite him or someone else, rather than the obvious pre-game hyping.

But we're not talking about the dog... for whatever reason, that was illegal. We're talking about it being illegal to simply yell at an officer. I wouldn't recommend trying it, and I'm sure they could easily find any of a dozen other reasons to arrest you, but I doubt just yelling at them is illegal.

Colts trying to get Jason Campbell out of retirement. He never panned out, much but I was always pulling for him in Washington. My fondest memory of him playing was the 2009 week 13 game against the Saints. Saints were 11-0 and Skins were 3-8. Campbell went 30-42 367 yds 3 TDs 1 int (he got Devin Thomas his first two career TDs) and the Skins gave the eventual Super Bowl champions all they could handle. Easily the best game of his career. Never really panned out and he was never given a chance with Mike Shanahan. After that we all know, bounced around from team to team.

Oh well, he was a guy I really liked and at least this is a football related conversation.

I thought Campbell and Tuiasosopo were 2 of the better Raiders QBs post-Gannon, but other things prevented them from really going far in Oakland.

He had a decent stint in Oakland, I think it was injuries that derailed him and Hugh Jackson in Oakland.

Patrick Ramsey, Jason Campbell, Robert Griffin III and whoever they pick in May. Redskins have used 4 1st round picks on QBs since 2002.

Wow, totally forgot Ramsey was a first round pick. I remember questioning the hype around Campbell back in the day since it seemed like he was a liability for Auburn until a nice senior year. Crazy how Auburn had Cadillac Williams, Ronnie Brown, and Brandon Jacobs all in the same backfield at one point.

Up until this year I really missed having Hue Jackson in Oakland to run the offense. Things seemed to be going so well that year then Jason Campbell broke a collarbone followed by the McFadden foot injury, smh.

Felt the same way about the hype, but thought that he played well his senior season which was his only season in Auburn where he ran the same offense as the previous season with Al Borges or whatever. Skins fans never really got behind Campbell as a whole, but if you looked at his numbers year over year his entire time with Washington they got better each season.

The two "realist" knocks against him were that he wasn't a vocal leader (as he was soft spoken) and he was not the guy to take you 70-80 yards inside of two minutes for a game winning TD if that is what you needed.

Whenever McFadden runs I don't expect him to get back up, guy gets injured so much. He's been on a good streak for over a season though. Maybe he can wrap up his career on a relatively high note over the couple of years.

Yeah we got a little off from the reason I brought up the comparison. It was more for people who didn't know or maybe couldn't believe that barking at a dog is illegal. I was just making the comparison that "barking" at a police office (which a K-9 dog is, technically) can also be illegal.

Not really saying much, but yeah. Jason Campbell was more of a game manager to me, though. Never really a guy who looked downfield a ton, but also rarely threw the game away. He worked with the level.of talent the team had at the time. His style definitely doesn't translate well to the current pass heavy league, though.

Yeah they were crazy stacked back then. That's why they had that one season where they went undefeated back then but got snubbed from the title game. I think that was 2004?
