They did this to themselves by drafting Manziel and signing McCown instead of properly sucking and landing Winston or Mariota this past draft. I guess Hoyer led them to their 7 wins but it's been a bungled process so far and I think Pettine and his staff are just caught in the crossfire.
Which leads me to a good discussion point. How about those two rookie QB's? I did not think they'd be even this good this quickly. In fact, I thought they'd either suck or be mediocre, and I wasn't sure if it would ever get any better. Mariota's throw 4 TD twice hasn't he? And Winston just torched Philly for 5 and has been nearly interceptionless on the road of all places.
TB has been a pleasant surprise this season (I've got them pegged to take ATL's WC spot now... my Rams pick a couple weeks back has flopped) and even TEN has shown at least some improvement. Taking those two where they did was the right call for sure.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
