Please don't admit you don't know what AJ Green looks like in here. Borderline tattle telling on yourself.Comment

Hrm, your point seems pretty much spot on though, the personalities no longer drive the product as much as it did 2 decades ago.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: NFL Off Topic
If we're talking about the average person on the street I think there are only 2 players and one coach who is instantly recognizable without prompting. (Brady, Romo, Belichick,) Everyone is pretty much faceless. I know that Marshawn Lynch was really marketing his personality but he's retired now. I feel like Cam Newton wants to be a mainstream face/name in the world but he hasn't quite cut through all the noise yet.

This is the point I was getting at. Most people don't know what these guys look like. I know most of them but I am an avid NFL fan and viewer. The guy that just watches the SuperBowl probably knows what 5/6 people in the NFL look like. Brady, Belichick, Peyton, JJ Watt and possibly Von Miller.

If Marshawn or Cam were to walk outside, people would know who they are, especially Marshawn. Didn't he have a nice following when he was overseas this past offseason too?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
I think college football puts a damper on it as well for those who like both.
I mean with all the channels showing college games now there about 12 hours on Saturday for you to watch about any game you want followed but another 10 on Sunday.
I mean I love football but come Monday night if it isn't a good matchup I have no desire to watch more football.NFL- Green Bay Packers
NCAA- Florida State Seminoles
NHL- Carolina HurricanesComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Lol those 2 leagues will not affect the numbers for NFL games, much less College Football for the first 2 months.
Hell, most folks don't start paying much attention to the NBA til Christmas and even that's very little.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
There's only very few players in the league right now that people who don't watch football would be able to recognize:
Tom Brady
Aaron Rodgers
JJ Watt
Von Miller, mostly due to his time on Dancing With The Stars
Cam Newton maybe?
Eli Manning maybe?
I really don't think there's anybody else.Last edited by TheMatrix31; 10-06-2016, 05:13 AM.Comment

I'd probably throw Odell Beckham's name in there as well.#RespectTheCultureComment
