Re: NFL Off Topic
For the last time, he is not being suspended for deflating footballs. He is being suspended because in his mind he thought he was above the league and the CBA that he signed and did not cooperate with the investigation. If he wouldve just manned up and admitted to it and saved the NFL a lot of money he probably would've just been fined. You think the NFL wants this to keep dragging?NFL- Green Bay Packers

If you work in the NFL office and know what you just posted as fact, feel free to correct me.
And as an FYI. The suspension is for the accusation of deflating footballs. That's something that I actually know as a fact.Last edited by kehlis; 07-30-2015, 09:21 PM.Comment

Supposedly at the appeal, Goddell was open to lightening the sentence but the defiance and the phone thing basically tied his hands.
If Goddell reduced the suspension at that point, with him openly scorning the authority of the league, he'd have looked like Kraft's puppet.Comment

Not sure what you mean by "for the last time" but this is still just a guess on your part and no more truth than anything anyone else is posting.

Re: NFL Off Topic
As a Patriots fan, I hope the league is dumb enough to say "You only got 4 games, and stayed at 4 games, because you're being an *******." Even a court in NY can't deny the fact that the NFLPA and lawyers could argue that's bull**** and not within Goodell's punishment power/no precedent for "suspensions because you're cocky."Comment

I've said multiple times on this subject that I don't think a suspension was warranted so don't think I'm disagreeing with what you are saying but your posts are just contradictory to each other at this point.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
So in your last post the suspension wasn't because of deflated footballs but in this post you're saying it just would have been reduced. What was the suspension for then? You are just contradicting yourself.

If Brady would have came out and said "Yeah, I did it" he would have gotten a fine or a one game suspension max. Since he failed to cooperate, Goodell gave him four games for thinking that he was above the league. You know, a good ol' fashioned p###ing match between the both of them. So, in essence, he got four games for thinking he was above the league and the CBA.
The NFL will never admit to it in court that it was the reason above to warrant the four games. I think both parties are acting like children and need to come to a resolution before it comes to court. Dragging this out further tarnishes both Brady and the NFL equally. However, I believe that Brady won't back down because of his ego and Goodell won't back down after he lost against Rice and Hardy. So really his ego as well.NFL- Green Bay Packers

Re: NFL Off Topic
NFL gave him 4 games and compared it to trying to gain a competitive advantage, using the PED policy as the measuring stick which is also 4 games for the first offense.
Lack of cooperation contributed to not reducing the punishment on appeal.Comment

Serious question: Where did this Packer Hatred stem from? Always wondered how you could hate a team so much even though you only play them once every 4 years.#RespectTheCultureComment
