Re: NFL Off Topic
All the Thanksgiving games have playoff implications this year.
DET/MIN for the lead in the Notth, WSH/DAL could be pretty big if the Skins win tonight and even if they don't, and PIT/IND to stay competitive in the AFC and possibly play for a spot atop their respective division.
Wish I didn't work on Friday!NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

I noticed that the stadium sounds seem to be more apparent on FOX. The Lions game on CBS sounded quiet in comparison to previous weeks.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Did anyone see that Jim Harbaugh is listed as a "potential" head coach on the list sent out to teams this week. Who decides who is on that list? Does he have to approve his name being on that list, or is just a list of suggestions. Honestly, this was the first I've ever heard of this list..."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. First I had ever heard of the advisory panel, too.
This year, the Career Development Advisory Panel consists of Tony Dungy, Charley Casserly, Carl Peterson, Bill Polian, Jimmy Raye Sr., James “Shack” Harris, Ernie Accorsi, Dick Daniels, and John Madden.
From what I can gather those names listed by the guys above really mean nothing at the end of the day. Nothing more than who they feel would make for good coaching or GM candidates. I do hope their Josh McDaniels thought is true. They believe he will stay with Bill Belichick as his OC until Bill retires, then take over as the Patriots next head coach. This is something many Patriots fans have wanted to be the case ever since he returned here.

Re: NFL Off Topic
If an NFL team threw enough money at him, why wouldn't he consider returning?
Given his competitive nature, you would think he'd want another crack at the NFL, the highest level of the sport, rather than be content to rule the minor leagues like Saban.
My dream is that the Yorks offer him the whole football operations and take away all football decisions from Jed, with Harbaugh only reporting to the parents.Comment

Just don't give McDaniels GM control. Trust me on this, as a Broncos fan.

I actually think a second chance as head coach wouldn't be a terrible idea with personnel decisions as long there is a checks and balances system.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Today Big Ben won his 10th game in Cleveland...he now holds the all-time record for wins by a QB in Cleveland. Yes, that is by all QB's...not just visiting QB's. Ben has won more times in Cleveland in his career than ANY Browns' QB has since they returned in 1999. That is mind boggling!"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball.
