I dont understand the Manning thing at the end. The comparison doesn't really fit with John Elway who co-owned and ran a lesser football team for a few years prior to joining the Broncos again.
Because Peyton Manning probably wants to run a team after football, and Jimmy Haslam and Manning are very very close. In fact, there are some rumors that Manning also suggested to Haslam to fire Lombardi and Banner.

Honestly, who cares anymore? Banner and Lombardi lead to the Browns becoming a bigger clown show than ever before. They didn't deserve to keep their jobs. But if you were going to make this move, don't you make it before you hire a coach?

I dunno. It is what it is. Shame Us for Jameis 2015.

      .

It just seems forced at this point. Has there ever been a player to go from playing straight to into an important front office role in an organization? Elway spent 5 years running the show for Colorado Crush and people still acted like Elway had no experience coming into the Denver Broncos FO.

There's also the possibility that the Broncos manage to keep Manning around after his retirement.

The formula only affects two games.

And even with that, half of the playoffs teams are still in the top 10 for most difficult schedule, with five of them in the top 7.

Then you've got four in the bottom 10 with the Colts getting the easiest schedule by virtue of their awful division - notice the AFC South teams are the last four.

I do expect the Texans and Falcons to be much better next year than they were this year. So that may be false weakness for teams with them on their schedule.

Yup. Just a talking point. It's pretty skewed next season with the AFC West and NFC West playing each other.

At this point if they volunteered for Hard Knocks I wouldn't be surprised.

Rooting for Oakland to be compelled or volunteer. $60m+ in cap space, preparing for a season where 9 games are against former playoff teams (6 in division).

In this era of parity a soft schedule can end up becoming hard in reality.

Not surprising the Bills are pretty much smack dab in the middle.

It was just OK, fairly cringe-worthy acting. I was disappointed when it was canned, but now that I'm a bit older if it aired now I wouldn't enjoy it.
