    Of course there should be. Even if true, as horrible as it is, it's a bit extreme to say it should be career ending... and that's not even considering how teams and the NFL have done with much worse legal incidents in the past. If he gets charged he will be sentenced according to the law. If that isn't heavy enough for the NFL he will be suspended in addition to that. There will be plenty of punishment coming his way.

    As a fan of the team, I wouldn't want them to destroy their salary cap to make a PR statement by cutting him. And as a fan of democracy for every incident just because they are public figures making their offense seem much bigger than the common man/woman. This isn't Aaron Hernandez here.

                I don't see any way he doesn't get suspended for this, it's just a matter of waiting for the legal process to play out.

                To me, it's a question of whether the Ravens cater to their (and the NFL's) ever growing female fan base, or whether they cater to their already tight cap situation.

                More than anything, I'm disappointed in Ray. He's done so much good for the community, for anti bullying efforts, and this undermines a lot of that and makes him look like a hypocrite and a piece of ****.

                    WOW!

                    If Harbaugh had decided to go to Cleveland that would have huge ripple effects for the entire league. I can see why he stayed in San Fran though.

                        Way too much unfinished business in SF for him.

                        That would have been a shocker. But I bet if the last 3 years hadn't been as successful, he takes that challenge on. He strikes me as a guy who embraces that.

                        That would have been a home run hire for CLE too. Harbaugh is money until proven otherwise.

                                            Well, it does, but it makes sense for the Niners organization to deny it.

                                            Harbaugh was close to Michael Lombardi, is an Ohio boy, and has had major clashes with the FO and ownership group.

                                            However, I'm actually glad it didn't happen. The amount of stuff the Browns would have given up for a coach with no QB would have been...kinda stupid.

                                                Folks are very quick to judge. It's not like he is accused of homicide. He got accused of a knockout.

                                                He didn't get liquored up and drive an automobile, he isn't part of some long-term bullying clique, he just got pissed and knocked somebody out.
