We can make believe whatever we want about the video. The fact of the matter is, the only thing we know is he was dragging her out of the elevator.

Did he hit her? Was she throwing a tantrum? Did she hit herself? ROUNDHOUSE KICK. Road House.

He is appealing it ... former teammate said it was a mistake that was out of his control.

Of course there was a reason. Are you saying the powers that be should assume they know the reason and punish based on their assumptions?

Johnny Manziel being sued for $25 Mil

A strange, sexually explicit lawsuit that appears to have little merit has been filed against Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel in the Middle District Court of Florida. The court confirmed that the lawsuit was filed under the name Samanatha Schacher and named Manziel and Texas A & M University as defendants.
The suit is believed to have been filed by someone other than the actual Samanatha Schacher, who is a co-host of “Dr. Drew” on HLN.
In the lawsuit, the plaintiff requests a restraining order against the quarterback and $25 million in punitive damages for emotional distress. Most of the claims are outrageous.
"On Christmas Eve, 2013, Johnny Manziel sent me a Instagram photo of himself naked to me Facebook with Manziel putting a hotdog bun between his penis, smiling, calling me "Ho, Ho, Ho," then called me up and told me he wanted a threesome with Dr. Drew," the lawsuit reads.
There are several typos and misspellings in the suit, including the misspelling of Jadeveon Clowney's name.
"Manziel sent me a homemade video of himself at Walt Disney World on "It's a Small World" ride in the Magic Kingdom, and while the song is on, he puts the camera down unbottons his pants, pulls his penis out and jingles his penis to to the music. ESPN owns Disney and ESPN promotes Manziel, knowing he did this in "It's a Small World," the lawsuit claims.
Manziel's agent, Erik Burkhardt, took to Twitter to shoot down the validity of the suit.
“This joke "lawsuit" is obviously 1000000% fake and/ or frivolous. Embarrassing I even have say this after reading the nonsense," Burkhardt wrote.

I kinda expect he'll still lose a game, his press conference today with his wife and their reconciliation will go a long way to diminishing that possibility though. I'm sure Ryan Clark is disappointed Goodell hasn't jumped the gun on punishment there so he has something else to try and generate ratings over.

I wouldn't be surprised if he still loses a game, but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't either.

BTW, don't be disappointed but it's not really a press conference as he won't be taking questions. It's basically just making a statement in person. I guess that's better than nothing or just having his lawyer release a statement, but he's going to need to answer some questions before he gets any of the public back behind him.

Ray Rice at his press conference today:

"I won't call myself a failure. Failure is not getting knocked down; it's not getting up."
Maybe not the best metaphor to use in a domestic abuse situation? I hope he was just speaking off the cuff and his PR/legal team didn't approve that statement.
