It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine. -

Because they don't need to be sharing the stage with anyone else. Not trying to hear Taylor Swift or Katy Perry jump or any other random popular artist jump on one of their songs.
In the meantime, I'll continue holding out hope on getting one more Outkast album before I die.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: NFL Off Topic
I looked up Stafford's contract. If you cut him in the offseason, you'd have 11 M in dead cap in 2016. If you wait until 2017, then it is 5.5 M. It is not impossible to cut him, but I think it would behoove the next coach to see what he can do with Stafford in his first year, and if not, then he can cut him then. His cap hit itself is 22 M, which is probably too large to trade. They could reduce it and kick some bonus ahead, but that would make it more difficult to cut him later on.
While it would never happen, Megatron has a 24 M cap hit and 13 M in penalties if you cut him in 2016. Like it or not, I seriously doubt the team will change much next season.
After Stafford and Megatron, there really aren't any other massive contracts.
Lions get 18 M in cap room next season from dead money coming off the ledger. A restructure and extension for Reiff could open up some more space too. If Ngata leaves, that's another 8.5 M that opens up. So there is cap space available if they want to make some 2nd and 3rd tier splashes to add depth or fill holes with competent players.Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Sherman is 60 years old...Belichek, Nick Saban and Pete Carroll are older than him. I think if he wanted to, he could easily get hired as an OL coach as that's his main calling.
Coaching HS has a lot less expectations though...even Spurrier intimated at doing HS coaching after retiring from SC.
I'm of the mindset that getting rookies on the field quickly is better than easing them into it. I don't think having a guy redshirt his first year helps any. At the end of the day what matters is the kid's abilities and the coaching.Comment

Caldwell is just a warm body.

Re: NFL Off Topic
I don't know the contract details, but if his cap hit is $22 mil and cutting him leaves $11 mil in dead money them go ahead and cut him if finances are all that is holding you back. The net result would be $10 mil more.

Re: NFL Off Topic
Agreed. I don't think it would be smart to get rid of Stafford and spend the next 5 years looking for a "franchise QB." That is a trap that too many teams fall into and end up changing starters every season. That is the best way to consistently be a bottom feeding team. Stafford is an average QB. You can win with an average QB. I'd focus on the positions where the team is sub-par.Comment

You mean firing Millen but keeping literally every person around him and putting his flunky in charge wasn't actually a good idea?Comment

Re: NFL Off Topic
Dalton has been awesome all year and they have a ridiculous amount of weapons. Eifert is a beast and him being healthy has been a huge boost for the team. Actually gives them a big threat over the middle they haven't had in a long time. Defense is improving with Burfict back.
