Problem is ESPN is hemorrhaging money for tier 3 games and a trashy playoff game while 10 million subs cut the cords. John Gruden will be coaching again on 2 years tops.

DeMeco Ryans, who spent six years with the Texans before his 2012 trade to the Philadephia Eagles, is claiming he would have played in the NFL for another five years, with potential earnings of $10 million.

Ryans is suing the NFL, the Houston Texans, stadium owner Harris County Convention and Sports Corp., stadium manager SMG, and the creators of the turf he claims led to a serious injury in November 2014.

The 'Raiders Stadium Deal' That Isn't a Stadium Deal at All

Writer recaps what would probably need to happen for Oakland to remain in Oakland:
As a native Angeleno, despite having the money and land, it should be Kroenke who should be worried about the Raiders coming to LA. Even without their apparent resurgent, this is still a Raider town, and the Rams would be second class citizens in their own stadium.

Only because Raiders are having a better season this year right?

Yeah, as a fellow Missourian who watched all this unfold from about 2 hours away, I can't fault the St. Louis denizens for any amount of schadenfruede that comes out of this. The city got jilted, hard.

                    This is pretty cool.
The NFL announced on Monday that more than 500 players will be taking part in a campaign called My Cause, My Cleats designed to raise awareness for charitable organizations. Players were free to design their own cleats, which will then be auctioned off with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to their chosen charities.

“One of the great NFL traditions is how our players passionately support important causes in their communities and around the globe every year,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement. “They are incredibly creative by nature so we are not surprised how they are seizing the opportunity this week with inspiring expressions of their charitable commitments on their cleats, online and through social media.”

Discussions of cleats usually focus on players being fined by the league for wearing shoes that don't conform to the league's uniform guidelines even if they are designed to bring attention to charitable causes, but that's not the case this week.

They've got to put their advertising out for it. So hypocritical of the league.

Well, at least there's now a mechanism for players to support causes that are near and dear to their hearts. of COURSE it has to be under the umbrella of some league approved crap.

BTW i'm seeing a lot of talk in the media about scrapping Thursday Night Football. You know things are getting bad when the media is actually talking about that publicly and loudly too.
