Just saying, his dad is the CEO and Commissioner of the XFL.
Colts own him unless they cut him once he comes back. I doubt the NFL would let him play for the XFL.

So my issue is more with Schefter breaking the news when he did because it came off like Luck just decided to retire right then and there. I get that that's Schefter's job but I'm just kinda like **** him when it comes to this.

Will all the lies surrounding Luck from the Colts, who knows what is true. Is his leg hurt? Is his shoulder actually healed? Was he still hurt and it cost them a HC?

Supposedly it may go back to at least before this season.

If you are a fan, I'd be pissed off at the leadership for all the lies. Then Luck is the only one you can voice that frustration too.

One thing to remember about Luck coming back is to make sure he doesn't end up like Mario Lemieux. Forced to retire early (Lemieux at age 31, Luck at 29) due to injury.

Lemieux returned almost 4 years later. Had a great return season, dealt with injuries the following year, has great bounce back after that, but that's really it, injuries caught back up with him. So he returned for 5 years, but only 2 he actually got to play for the most part healthy.

Who knows what Luck could think in 2-4 years from now. Especially since he'd still be at an age where he could go if he wants.

I don’t think the Colts really do much different if Luck hangs them up after the season or right now. They have a guy I’ve seen described as the best backup in the league. You can’t just replace a Pro Bowl QB.

The ownership knew more than the public, so the timing angle is off too.

Luck is a different type of dude. He carries a flip phone yo. He banged a left at the fork in the road and everyone’s freaking out. We know guys get destroyed by this game, yet we still have folks going haywire because someone retired to stay healthy as best he could.

The responses from all the players show the huge difference between what the fans think and what the players know.

I think Florio just finally realized that he actually sucks at what he is supposed to be good at and decided to turn Heal.

The Gottlieb tweet was pretty funny, honestly.

He's your typical 40 year old dude who doesn't realize how much older his opinions make him sound.

The best is that he then went on his radio show to talk about how he didn't really mean it, but then complained for a couple minutes about millennials and hipsters. I saw a guy say he's worked with both Bayliss and Gottlieb. Bayliss is playing a character. Gottlieb is actually an *******.

Let's not disparage all older guys with this guy. Some of us aren't morons.
