rest easy Blanda, Brady will never break your record as oldest nfl player ever.
in fact, I won't be surprised if Brady retires before fall officially arrives, if Gisele has her way

Hopefully Micah Parsons gives him a 'nudge' toward that direction Sunday..

That Jets game 9/11 National Anthem was sweet. Good job on the singer to stop midway and let the crowd sing 2 verses alone. So well done.

Statistics questions about fumbles and yardage gained:

            1) If you lose a fumble, do you still accumulate the yards you gained on the play? Say you go 99 yards and lose it at the 1-yard line... do you get those 99?

            2) If you fumble backwards and your teammate picks it up, does everyone get the yards they carried the ball? Say you run 20 yards, fumble it backwards 5 yards, and your teammate picks it up and runs 10 yards. Is it 20 and 10? 20 and 5? 15 and 10? 25 for your teammate?

I had a third question in a different scenario, but honestly can't remember what it was.

for scenario 1 you get the yards you gained. On this play from 2020 Miles Sanders was credited with the 74 yards he ran before he fumbled

                1) Yes.

                2) 15 and 10. See Letter D in attached.

EDIT: This is from the NFL Guide for Statisticians. The guidebooks for the NFL and NCAA are readily available online with a simple search. I always download the current ones when I am doing my replay projects with Strat-O-Matic.

Last year, I remember not being sure if I should credit a Rushing First Down to a team whose player lost a fumble beyond the yard to gain for a first down. This was in a game I was playing with Strat-O-Matic College Football from the 80s.

In the NCAA guidebook it said that a first down is not credited until the play is over so no first down is given if, for example, a runner loses a fumble after a 5 yard gain on 3rd and 2.

I always keep these guidebooks around for those rare occasions when I'm not sure how to score something.

What was once a post from The Onion is now a reality. Rex Ryan announced on The Pat McAfee Show that he is teaming up with Dr. Scholl's for a new athlete's foot treatment. Glad to see Rex owning this.

And if you are too young to get it, Google Rex Ryan and feet. Tread carefully lol

Browns fans voted for the logo, so. And by "Browns fans" I mean anyone with internet access could vote, so they ended up with that.

I like the Elf. Very menacing.

But I also like the Bucs "Creamsicle" uniforms. So my tastes have been questioned before.

I may be the only person to admit liking the Broncos AFL striped pj's look.
Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.

To what extent does a team's training and medical staff impact injuries?
How would one know when a staff is not doing a good job?

I ask because of Baltimore. It just seems like up and down the roster when guys get hurt it takes longer than expected to recover. We got guys who suffered ACL tears preseason of last year who still aren't ready, meanwhile on other teams there are guys that suffered the injury late during the regular season that are already back on the field.

I understand everyone is different, but like I said its for every injury a Raven sustains. Over the past few seasons Baltimore has been hit hard by injuries and the recovery times do make me wonder
