    Marcus Maye to the Saints.

That leaves Mathieu as the top remaining Safety left on the board

Not too thrilled with the signing myself, the Cowboys were smart and included language in the contract that every team should be doing with players like him. Cant stay outta trouble/injured, gotta protect their investment.

The language they objected to is part of the cba. It's in his broncos contact, too.

Even if it's not in the contract itself, it's a part of the agreement because it's a clause in the CBA.

It turns out that Gregory and his agent are... predictably... just really stupid.

They might have done the Cowboys a favor.

We won't, but I wish the Vikings would bring him in.

Same for the Eagles, but see him going team like the Raiders or staying on the west

The language in the context is not specifically a part of the CBA. The CBA says a team and the player can NEGOTIATE the terms of forfeiture of salary.

The Cowboys wanted the language to say if Gregory is fined, he will forfeit part of his salary. That is allegedly going further than most other teams that say if a player is suspended, they will forfeit part of there salary.

So, Gregory and his agent are smart to get the same financial contract with less restricting terms.

Apparently Watson is meeting with the Browns and Baker made an IG post thanking the fans.

I think the IG post was premature, but I do wonder what happens if Watson opts against going to Cleveland.

I can't wait for this Watson saga to end.

Gregory is smart to take that deal in Denver. And as a Dallas fan I am
glad. No way I sign that guy without that forfeiture language.

Best prediction of future activity is past activity. With the new cannabis
rules maybe he doesn't get suspended. I wouldn't bank on it though.

Even if he does not get suspended. How many games will he play?
He always get hurt in the few games a year he plays.

28 mil guaranteed for a guy who has what, 16.5 Career sacks.. No thank you.
We already have the guy. (D Lawrence)

For a league that is so image conscious, what team would want that
"Me Too" back lash. I wouldn't want it. On second thought.
                    The Commanders should sign him..lol

The NFL has not announced what his suspension would be. Maybe
Goodell has told teams a round about number of games he will be
                    suspended for.

Is he going to be suspended at all? He was on Houston's roster but inactivated all last season. While he theoretically could be criminally charged again, it seems unlikely that any prosecutor would try again after a No Bill from a grand jury. So what would trigger it? The civil suits have been pending since last year.
Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.

The league can still suspend him based on their “independent” review but I’m with you, I don’t think they will.

I don't see any way he's not suspended. There doesn't have to be a criminal charge for Goodell to suspend. I'm guessing at least 6 games

There doesn't have to be, but nothing "new" has come out to make the situation worse in nearly a year. If they were going to suspend him, they could have done so last year.

We all know how this is going to go. The league don’t operate on logic or common sense so even though he didn’t play last year(paid leave basically)they’re going to make sure he gets something.

Won’t be the whole season but he’s gonna miss some games. They’re not gonna go “Well he sat out last year so that counts”.

There was no need to last year. It was evident that Houston wasn't going to play him, so the league could afford to sit back, see what the legal system did, then make their own decision afterward.

A win-win for the league. If they suspend, they can say they're harder on sexual assault/harrassment than the law. If they don't, they can fall back that there were no formal charges brought.
